Great Home, Honest Review

First, our stay in the home was fantastic and we would definitely consider staying here again. The layout was great. Both the king and queen bedrooms had en-suites and the bunk room bathroom was directly across the hall. Great for a large group! The property manager is fantastic to deal with. We only spoke once but he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. A few items to note just because I would like to know before arriving - the living room furniture is in desperate need of replacing. We've rented homes for years and know that people can be rough on items that aren't theirs. Both couches either need a deep cleaning and new cushions or just to be replaced in general. The photos in the listing do not depict what they look like now. The main bedroom is extremely large. Great space. However, the online photos show two ceiling fans, one over the bed and one over the open space. Some may not mind but a ceiling fan in a beach house bedroom is a must for me. The fan over the bed is missing. I'm assuming it was damaged by someone at some point but needs to be replaced. Towels - we had a total of six people staying in the home. We were provided a total of 5 bath towels. Luckily we had our beach towels to use and came across a few hidden ones. The listing also states there are beach chairs available. We had one of our guests forget theirs and thought we would just use one at the house. There aren't any for use. Not a major issue - just nice to know ahead of time.

Wonderful house and wonderful location

We absolutely loved our stay here! The home had everything we needed and it was a short walk to the the beach. Beds were super comfortable and it was very clean. We come to the mexico beach and St. Joe beach area every year and this house is one of my favorites that we've stayed in. Thanks so much for an awesome experience!

Really nice home

The rental was above our expectations. Very nice, clean, well equipped house in a quiet neighborhood with a great location. The property manager made himself very available, should a need arise (which did not). We will definitely stay here again!

Nice quite neighbor

The house was in a nice quiet neighborhood, there is a tennis court a few hundred feet away but we couldn’t hear people playing inside the house. When we first arrived there was trash all around the trash cans outside and we had to clean that up first. There a note inside that said there are animals that get in the trash, so maybe a couple of bricks on top would help? Or keeping the trash cans on the back porch since the garage is not useable by guests? The refrigerator and freezer has a strong odor of fish. The trash can in the kitchen was hard to find and we didn’t find it until the morning we left. I’ve never seen a trash can in a cabinet, so maybe a note about where the trash can is. The floors need a good cleaning, we took off our shoes at the door and walking around a few minutes our feet was very dirty. The house is in the perfect spot, perfect neighborhood, it just needs a good cleaning.

Great location

My family and i really enjoyed our stay! If a problem came up the owners were quick to address the issues. I would advise future guests to bring extra towels, wash cloths & kitchen rags/hand towels if they have a larger group. If we stay in Mexico Beach next year, this is the property we would choose. Grocery stores (aside from dollar general) are about 28 minutes away, so that was a big down fall for us. It was a short walk to the beach which was nice!

Unit needs work

So first the good things. Its a spacious property. Good proximity to the beach. Personally we chose to drive to the beach to better manage all the chairs, cooler, etc. & because of limited public restrooms. The beach is great. We will be back to the area for sure. Host communication was reasonably quick and efficient. Before I explain the less than great, i will preface this by saying that I didn't bother complaining because none of it was salvageable for us, and dealing with trying to "fix" it on our short vacation would have just been more annoying. Initially i thought it was ok. 1. The living room furniture is way past its useful life. Extremely disappointing. It is below average price - its not beach front and none of the common ammenities, but the furnishings are subpar in quality and cleanliness. 2. The mattresses on the two larger beds were very uncomfortable. 3. I was disappointed in the overall cleanliness. The worst was the inside of the refrigerator. I had to clean it before we put our groceries in it. There was actual lint and dirt in the inside. I did my best without taking all the shelves out. 3. Lots of moldy / nasty areas in the bathrooms and corners. Living room seating was gross. 4. The unit says non smoking but there is a smoke smell in the home. The worst were the bed pillows - i woke every day with a sinus headache from the smell. The unit desparately needs new living room furniture and a deep clean throughout, new mattresses & pillows.

Overview of stay

The place was very nice and clean, as advertised! Just a short walk to the beach. The only criticism I have is the coach in the living room was extremely uncomfortable. And the Master bed was really uncomfortable. However, it would not deter us from staying there again. We had a great weekend!!

We love Mexico Beach! The house was perfect; very spacious, GREAT location, and clean. It was just my husband and I, but the house is big enough for two families. Very quiet neighborhood. Will definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay could live there full time

Property was exactly as ad said. No issues, large rooms, great tv,s and appliances. Only thing I would change is there was no beach stuff (chairs, cooler, towels). Being so close to an awesome beach these things would have been nice at this price point. Would/will stay again.

Amazing Beach Home

I was so happy when entering Oceans Blondie Breeze. Such a wonderful and clean home. So spacious and the home has everything you need. Kitchen has everything you will need to prepare an amazing meal. The home is just beautiful . Linens and towels smell so good and the home is very clean. I will definitely rent with this home again.

A great getaway

This property was everything we needed and more. The master bedroom is huge and has plenty of circulation with the two ceiling fans. The master closet was also large. The bedroom with the bunk beds was great. Not only did it have the 4 twin beds, but we were pleasantly surprised that there were two additional twin beds on the floor (trundles). Plenty of dresser and closet space in there too. The third bedroom was connected to the master through one of the bathrooms (the master has doors for both the master bath and a second bath). Wasn’t an issue for us since our toddler slept in the other bedroom but would need to lock the other bathroom door if sharing with another couple or family. The other bedroom was a little small, but again wasn’t an issue for our toddler son. We loved the open layout of the living, kitchen and dining and the fact that the laundry and pantry were separate from the living space. The washer and dryer came in handy especially when returning from the beach! Speaking of the beach - it is a short walk. We met up at sunset park (next door to the El Governor) with my parents who were staying at The Club. The property comes with a beach wagon which was super helpful in toting toys and chairs back and forth from the beach. The beach umbrella available was also wonderful - our kids could play in the sand without the fear of being burnt. We felt the property could have been a little cleaner. There were some areas that had been overlooked (and that we noticed because of our toddler) that we had to vacuum or wipe clean. The master shower could have also used a touch up. We loved that one of the three bathrooms had a tub with a removable shower head for the little ones. We never could figure out how to turn on the outside light above the front door but it wasn’t a bit issue. It was a bit quiet in the house at night and in the morning so we had to finagle some background noise as regular taking, putting dishes away, etc echoed through the home. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc to prepare some basic meals. There was even a little bit of Tupperware available. The only thing we often reached for but couldn’t find was a pie of kitchen shears or scissors. There was also a small variety of spices that previous vacationers left behind which was wonderful! Overall, this was a great property to spend the week. We had a great time and plenty of space. We had just about everything we needed to feel at home.

Excellent property

We had 10 adults and 3 small children and had plenty of room for everyone. The house was very clean...very nicely decorated and just a walk across the street to the beach. Would definitely stay at this property again.
