Nice place to relax and getaway

Kids had a lot of fun my wife and I enjoyed driving to south padre to the beach and restaurants the house was so peaceful and relaxing the view in the back it's really nice

Port Isabel Gem

Amazing, spacious house that is great for family or friends. We loved using the pier to fish at night under the lights! We would definitely stay here again!

Great view! Great location!

Plenty of space for everyone! Location is perfect for all needs shopping, groceries, restaurants, fishing and fun. The view from the living room is amazing.

NIce location, nice house needs TLC

The location couldn't be better. The view is second to none. The house is nice but needs some TLC and a good cleaning. Overall it was a very good stay. We may be back next year.

House on the bay

The house and location was great. The restaurants and many places were very close. It was nice to sit on the deck in the mornings. I was disappointed not to have access to the fishing pier.

Anniversary Trip

The lay out of the house is wonderful, right on the water, plenty of space for many people. Bring trash bags, about the only thing that wasn’t supplied. Everything else was amazing.

we went with inlaws Semana Santa

family members south of border came to visit just for Semana Santa, we all enjoyed it, except for the big 30 minute storm that hit on last day, And the landlord could do NOTHING about that.. On that one we instead have to put in person to person call to Mother Nature.. and she always puts us on hold.

Great family spot

This house is perfect for a family vacation! Lots of space and lots of beds. It also has one of the only docks along the row of homes. Great to fish off of. The deck was great to spend lots of time outside. There were enough pots/pans that we could make big family dinners. Could have used more silverware (only 4 spoons). The stove top was very dated and not very efficient. The house had tons of cabinets and storage that we could put things away for the week. Felt very much like home!

Beach Smoke House

The house it self is an older home. Would enjoyed more if it didn’t have an odor of cigarette smoke. The deck lights didn’t work for night use. And the items in the garage? Not sure if the customer had access to use or not. Would help if the keyless entry was a smaller key code to use.

Arriving at The Open & Bright Bayfront Getaway hosted by Vacasa. Walking in the doors, there was a strong cleaner, perfume smell. The 1st impression was that the house was clean, outdated, roomy, & the view was beautiful. Once we started walking around getting to know the place, we discovered that a really bad smell was coming out of the master suite. It had a pungent ammonia/cat pee smell. No one could stay in that room, it was so strong & we couldn't find where the smell was coming from. We turned the bathroom fan on & closed the m/s door the entire time. Things we used that worked. The coffee pot. We had to buy coffee filters. We left them there, & as long as the cleaners don't take them, they will be there for the next renter. Wifi worked, no issues. Microwave cooked. Toaster toasted. The refrigerator kept things cold. The freezer did smell a little, but nothing major. It was nice to be able to park our rental car in the garage. It was also nice that there were folding chairs & beach items. I did not see beach towels, but we didn't need them. We did not use the ice maker because it was moldy & could use a bleach wash. The dishwasher cleaned. The washer & dryer worked. The half bathroom downstairs needs a deep clean of the walls & the trim areas. The toilet & counter were clean, though. The bedrooms & bathroom upstairs were surface cleaned. The bathroom tub has a little mold growing, but nothing major, just a little bleach, & it would be all good. The shower

Fantastic place to stay!

The outdoor space was amazing! The new dock perfect for fishing and great views! The inside was very spacious with comfortable amenities. Great place on the water and walking distance to Joe's Oyster Bar (amazing fresh food and super friendly!!!) Proximity to the free bus service to the island was helpful for fun nights out to the island. Overall wonderful experience. Would highly recommend.

Great for the Price

Few dead/alive cockroaches, nosy neighbors who starred at us for 10 mins while we ate dinner, and broken ice maker prevent it from 5 stars. Other than that, it was in a great location with beautiful views. Needs a bit of updates but not too terribly outdated. Would stay here again.

Family Spring Break

We really enjoyed our stay in Port Isabel. This property was conveniently located for us as we enjoyed south padre island and crossing the border to Mexico to eat good food. One thing we thought could have been a little better were toiletry supplies as only one of three bathrooms had an extra roll of toilet paper, which wasn’t enough for 9 of us (this property sleeps 12). Overall, it was a pleasant and enjoyable stay at this bayside property. Thank you!

It is water front.

Overall all we enjoyed the stay. The only complain I have I asked if the property had water access, I specifically asked if I could launch my kayaks there and the reply I got was "This is a waterfront property". This property DOES NOT have access to the water for a kayak. You could fish from the deck but there is no way of accessing the water.
