Beautiful home and great community to stay for a month. The home was clean, spacious and convenient to the beach, restaurants and many area beach and harbor cities. Our hosts were delightful and very responsive to any questions and concerns.

This house was perfect for us! We stayed there for 3 months while our home was being built in Venice. It was very clean and everything advertised to be.

Absolute paradise

Fabulous home in beautiful gated Riverwood golf and country club. Meticulous landscaping and attention to detail everywhere. The home was perfect size for me and my wife but could easily accommodate a child or two as well. The private pool was perfect to hop in whenever we wanted, and the community pool is like a resort. The kitchen had everything we needed and was very clean, as was the entire place. We visited so many different beaches we would forget which we saw last, as all were within moderate distances. Diane was very accessible and helped us with any questions we had. Although we didn’t bring out clubs, the golf course is beautiful also. Anyone staying here will definitely not be disappointed. .

We loved taking long walks daily throughout the development enjoying all the different wildlife. It was like walking in a nature preserve. The privacy around the pool was great too.

Most Beautiful Vacation Spot Ever

This was the most beautiful vacation spot ever compared to several previous rentals in Mexico Beach Fl. and Hilton Head. You woke up each morning with the sun coming up over the lake in the back and the fish jumping creating ripples in the water that was often as smooth as glass. Caught several nice bass on black worms and named the alligator that was an occasional visitor. I took a long walk several mornings and viewed the eagles's nest just across the street (2 adults and a young chick who could fly). There was another occupied nest within a quarter-of-a-mile up the road. The grounds throughout the Riverwood community are landscaped like a show garden and the lawns are cut and edged to perfection. There are numerous kinds of palm trees, bushes, and flowers. We are not golfers so being a mile or so from the course was not a problem. Riverwood is very proximate to Port Charlotte with numerous eating establishments and shopping opportunities. Ditto for distance to Northport and then further to Venice, Englewood, Sarasota, etc. We developed an excellent relationship with the owners as we faced a couple of minor glitches during our stay (internet down for a day, but was a Comcast issue). The owners checked on us a couple of times more to ascertain that we were enjoying our stay. Great people even though they are from Michigan. The home is very well-provided with all items needed for cooking and eating A welcome package was there for us with cleaning, laundry, and bathroom items so that we didn't have to go to the store. immediately. The area is very quiet. If desired, one could stay on the lanai and pool deck and have complete privacy. The pool and spa are heated and do not require any attention by guests as they are addressed weekly by a pool service. Don't know what else to write. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and was sorry when we had to return to the North.

Located within a beautiful golf course in a gated community of approximately 1,400 homes and condos.

Homey feel, nicely decorated and clean. Sits on a pond that is home to alligators, bald eagles and other species of beautiful birds. Great sunrises! Lovely screened in pool with hot tub. (There is no pool or hot tub safety banisters for safe entry). Our dogs were allowed which was greatly appreciated! We were not there one full day before neighbors complained to the association president that our dogs were barking; given a day they would have calmed down to their new environment. Plus the neighbors were very nosey/busy bodies which we found a bit unsettling. We did have problems with the garage door and the screen on the lanai was blown off during our stay but the owners were great to work with and they helped initiate service to repair. At the end of our stay the owners care taker did a final walk through to ensure the property was not damaged; although the care taker said we were his first walk through. We welcomed this and felt it was a great thing! Overall, it is a great place to stay in a gated community, with a fabulous golf course/pond views. The home needs some routine maintenance and more pots and pans, cookie sheets, a good set of knives for cooking. A printer for laptops/computers would be a nice accessory to have permanently in the home for renters. As a side note there is not a lot of privacy so if you are looking for privacy this is not this place. Between the neighbors and ground keepers there is always someone in your front or back yard making noise during daylight hours; and they start early in Florida. A king size bed in the master bedroom and more comfortable living room furniture would greatly improve an extended stay. Outside of a few small Inconveniences our stay was pleasant!

Amazing! Best place I've stayed!

House was clean, updated appliances . Nice furnishings. Very comfortable. Pool was awesome. Also nice to relax in jacuzzi in the evening. Felt safe in the gated community . Many amenities. Will definitely come back to this property in the future. Owners very nice and supportive when I spoke with them .
