This house has absolutely everything you need ! Just grab a toothbrush and bathing suit and you are set . Perfect front row location and large green space for kids to run around and play . Host even provided a ride on toy for the kids. It was great after a gorgeous day at the beach . Commercial ice machine made filling our coolers for the beach super easy . Chairs , tent , toys , basket of treats .. what more could you ask for? 10 out of 10 for our group of 14.

Absolutely perfect right on ocean front so views from deck were incredible. Well stocked kitchen and washer/dryer. Lots of parking space. We could not have enjoyed it more.

Peaceful - What We Needed

Our nonprofit leadership team enjoys an annual retreat at Crystal Beach. We chose Seagrape this year because it offered a bathroom for each traveler, and the owner allowed guests to use the cargo elevator for a reasonable fee (a refreshing change). The interior was immaculate, warm and welcoming. The ocean view from the kitchen and living room was fantastic. The bedrooms were spacious, with plenty of towels, and the beds were comfy. The master bath even had a lighted magnifying makeup mirror. The kitchen was cozy for five adults but equipped with more than we needed. The coffee station and mini fridge upstairs added a nice touch. Perhaps it was due to previous hurricane damage, but the outdoor deck furniture was not ideal. One of the lounge chairs was broken. Also, the cushions were quite dirty. Bird droppings, etc. are expected and inevitable, and we normally just hose the furniture down. Obviously, you can't hose off cushions and use them right away. I'd encourage guests to bring extra blankets/towels to lay over them. Prior to our arrival, the owner advised the golf cart was broken. We rented one from the RV park across the street, which was convenient and saved us some money, too (we used it only 1 day). The best part was the peace and quiet! The beach was easily accessible and lacked the traffic we're used to, which was a blessing and made our stay so peaceful. I would definitely recommend Seagrape to fellow travelers!

Well stocked Beach House

Very clean; comfortable. Amazing amount of kitchen utensils. Great room under house with commercial ice maker, bathroom (great for quick runs from the beach); additional refrigerator and the big bonus of many beach items (lots of chairs, pop up tent etc). Nice open porches to view the beach. Was our first visit to Crystal Beach. Beaches were clean, not crowed at all (we went in Oct) and lots of seashells! Not as commercial area as Port Aransas (plan to fix meals) but we truly enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend renting this property! Thank you for a great rental property - we would definitely rent again. We had everything we needed.

Wonderful time

The house was just as listed except so many extras. The house was very clean and tons of room. The house has everything you could possibly need for cooking anything. The downstairs garage had lots of chairs, ice chests, and anything else that was needed. The ice machine was a huge bonus. There is an extra refrigerator in the garage that we used to store extra drinks. There were tons of beach chairs and regular chairs. The outside shower was great. It has hot water so our grand kids could take showers there. The lift was nice to carry up luggage and groceries. The owner was very attentive and easy to get in touch with. We will definitely stay in this house again. The area is very quiet and not busy. We were worried about traffic on the beach with the little ones but there wasn’t much at this part of the beach.

Great Beachfront Getaway

My family and I loved the large spacious home with its great views. The downstairs ice machine was very convenient, and we appreciated the gas stove which is a rarity. The access to the nearby golf cart bridge made beach access with our rented golf cart a breeze, and there was a walk path available for quick access by foot. We took advantage of the spacious front yard and brought our croquet set which was a lot of fun. We also appreciated the timely response from the owner when we had an issue with the front doorknob which was resolved quickly the very next morning. Overall we loved the place and had a wonderful vacation.

Great House

Views are gorgeous. Very good taste and decor is beautiful. We felt so comfy and enjoyed the deck. We will definitely come back to this one. Thank you for the snacks!!!!

Christmas at the beach

Lovely property. Mosquitoes were vicious. Upon arriving at the property our cars were covered immediately in mosquitoes. We turned right around without getting out and went and got some bug spray for us and the yard. The first couple of days was pretty hard getting to the beach without getting eaten up. We love the property would definitely come back.

Beautiful and quiet location, desperately needs a deep cleaning

Pros: Beautiful and quiet location. Spacious rooms and bathrooms, fireplace beautiful and amazingly warm. Plenty of bathroom linen. Property manager quick to respond to concerns/issues. Cons: There was an awful foot/mildew smell in the whole house and a thick layer of dust on all of the shelving (primary bedroom downstairs and living room especially). When we arrived we had to scrub the kitchen counters and dinning room table - there was a thin layer of grime. We had to push the dining room table away from the kitchen counter to make more room to walk through- only to find a bunch of dust/dirt and live silverfish underneath. The property manager was quick to respond to our concerns and offered to have their cleaning service return the next day, but because it was Thanksgiving eve and we had already done our own cleaning on arrival we passed- to avoid the hassle/stress of packing and moving our belongings- with more family expected to visit/join us for the holiday. There are cameras INSIDE of the home (we didn't notice any outside of the property)- which we thought unusual for a rental. The rugs throughout the home are very worn and dirty. As mentioned in another review this home has so much potential, but definitely needs some TLC and a deep cleaning!

Family vacation

The overall stay was pretty good and the communication with the property manager was also good. The access to the beach was really easy and the cabin was stocked with everything that we would need during our stay. I would definitely recommend to a friend or stay at this place again for another trip.

Lovely BUT - Needs a little TLC (Honest Review)

Lovely home BUT defintely needs a some TLC. When we arrived we found trash in the fire pit which consisted of empty beer boxes and some bottles. A few cigarette butts on the grounds in the grass. Missing light fixtures on the back deck (not bulbs - entire fixtures pictured in photos gone) with wires exposed. Back deck rather dark at night. Stained bedspreads in 2 of the rooms downstairs. We removed linens on beds and washed them and there were long hairs under the covers. Several light bulbs out in lamps and in the bathroom light fixtures. We replaced on our own but prop manager did offer to send someone. We mopped living room ourselves on arrival because of dust. BEWARE there were 2 cameras INSIDE the home 1 in the living room and 1 in the upstairs open area. We unplugged and turned both around to be sure they were not on. Will report to VRBO. A knob on the master bath spa tub was missing with just a pipe exposed. Did not use. Inside kitchen draws dirty and some of the utensils need to be replaced. Have photos. Trash can lid broken off can in the kitchen (or it was removed and not replaced). This could be a 5-star gem with just some attention to detail and TLC. I want to leave an HONEST review so others who care about such things can be accurately informed. If you don't care about these little things you will be pleasantly pleased with the property, room layout, view and location and the to die for sunrises and sunsets.

Absolutely amazing property! Hate to say anything to keep secret amongst those who have found it already. 3 nights not enough, God willing we will be back for at least a 5 night stay

Wonderful Beach House for a Family Trip

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful beach house. We had 10 people, ages 87 to 8 and everyone enjoyed themselves. Easy beach access and great views. The on-line description and the property itself all matched up with the exception of the check out time…online says 11, check in/out docs say 10. Just a few notes, not negative, but things that are helpful… * If you have one, take your own tent/canopy. Fortunately we took ours. They did have one but it had be damaged at some point and was unusable. However, I truly do not think the owner knew. * Chairs are provided and they are great, but are mostly low beach chairs. If you have someone who cannot sit low to the ground, be sure and take your own chair. * Be sure and take extra paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing pods and laundry detergent. They do provide, but not enough for a long stay. There is a great little “everything” grocery store on the island. * Owner was very accommodating and quick to answer when we needed to reach out. * Lift fee is $150 to use. I didn’t see where that was noted as an extra charge when we made the reservation, so it could have been my over site. Highly recommend you rent it and use it. * Golf Cart - worth every cent. Rent it! I would highly recommend this beach house and location. We made incredible memories.

Great location, nice beach area, spacious, most everything you need for a beach vacation. House needs a few honeydo’s but our family has a trained eye for that. Our line of work. Overall great time and would stay there again. Shirley was a great host. Thanks for our memories.

House Trip

Your property was set up great. You really could go in more deal of all that you offer for the beach ....wow....all those extras were wonderful to have. We didn't realize you had all those beach chairs. The golf cart was soooo very useful. I would say a must too have. The only thing I would add for your guest is a playpen. But who know you might have had one we just didn't look hard for it. Thank you for the opportunity to get to stay in your home. It was a vacation house to remember.
