"A fabulous place to stay.
We were greeted with a very welcoming pot of coffee after a long journey.
We were told of things to do, places to eat but as we were going to a wedding the day after we couldn't do any walking.
The room was clean and the bed so comfortable and lovely toiletries were in the bathroom.
The breakfast the following morning was incredible, better than a lot of smart hotels we have stayed in.
I would highly recommend Mill Lodge."

Lovely friendly staff.
The best breakfast.
The property is a little dated, and the bed isn't the most comfortable, but it was all good for a one-night stay. Would recommend."

"A very pleasant surprise as a solo guest. Needed an overnight stay for an event in Abergavenny, went with no expectations, just needed a comfortable, clean place and that's what I got. Yes the place needs a bit of tidying up, decorating, updating of furniture but that doesn't bother me as long as everything works for it's purpose which it did. I booked a room at the back with a balcony overlooking the river and the view was wow! On the hottest Bank Holiday for years, I left the French doors...

"This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted. "This was the very best hotel and staff. The room was lovely. Staff were friendly, and they couldn't do enough for you. They would do anything in their power to make your stay a pleasurable experience.
I would strongly recommend the stay, with the Marina literally two minutes away, and the town center a 10 minute walk away.
My only problem was the food. It's not the best, and don't have the breakfast you'll be wasting your money, it has very poor quality ingredients. You'd be better off eating...
