  • The port 26 is born from the desire to recover and rehabilitate a wing of a century-old building, keeping his own architectural style of the time, in harmony with comfort elements and comfort today, with the aim of creating a welcoming, functional and urban environment.
    Guests will be able to enjoy a suite with living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom with double bed and a bedroom with two single beds. There is a fantastic porch where guests can relax and enjoy the quiet nights of Ponta Delgada.
    The port 26 is one of the most beautiful and historic areas of Ponta Delgada. It is 5 minutes walk from the city center, the Carlos Machado Museum, the Sant'Ana Palace, seat of the Presidency of the Azores Regional Government, Gardens Jose do Canto and Antonio Borges. Is a 1-minute walk from Antero de Quental Garden, Public Library and the beautiful Church of All Saints, known as the College Church.

Absolutely perfect!

What a wonderful place. Spacious, clean, well appointed and very central to all things Ponte Delgada. Francisco met us at the property as planned and was very responsive with referrals for tours and taxis. A perfect stay.

A beautiful flat in central Ponta Delgada. Very bright with high ceilings; much larger than we expected. Feels "homey"! We were pleased the outdoor seating area is very private. Host Duarte very respectful of our privacy, but very quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend!

Great Location

We spent two weeks in this large comfortable home. Perfectly located a short walk to everything of interest in PDG. I can not recommend it enough. And if you have a car plenty of street parking plus a garage just up the street. We will be back !

Charming

We loved our stay at this charming guest apartment. The decorations were so nice and gave that warm and homey yet historical vibe. Very comfortable. Communications were easy with the owners and property manager. We had no problems. Parking was free at a nearby parking lot and it worked out great for us. Highly recommended.

Cozy place in the earth of Ponta Delgada

Very nice and big apartment within walking distance of everything in Ponta Delgada, restaurant, grocery, visit. Easy free parking around. Would highly recommend this apartment.

Perfect Place in the City

Close to everything, gracious place to rest after a busy day. Hosts were generous (small gifts of food and coffee) and kind. Comfortable beds and nice linens. The front bedroom hears street noise, especially on Fado nights (Wed and Fri) but the back bedroom (2 twins) is quiet. (But for those who want to experience the classic Portuguese music, it's just down the street!) Relax on the private back deck in the evenings. Highly recommended.

Wonderful stay in the city!

Porta 26 is perfect!

Great property on the edge of the historic district of Ponta Delgado making it great for an easy walk to all the sights. Porta26 was also quite central on the island, making it an ideal home base to explore beautiful Sao Miguel. The property was very clean, beds were very comfortable with lovely linens, kitchen had everything you needed to cook a great meal after shopping at the Farmer's market and it was decorated with care making you feel right at home! Owners, Catarina and her husband welcomed us on checkin and gave us a tour of the apartment and answered any of our questions. Francisco, the property manager was only an email away if we had any questions/concerns during our stay. They really went out of their way to meet all our needs! Would definitely highly recommend Porta26 .

Great apartment in the center of Ponta Delgada

We stayed five nights at Porta26 during the first half of our trip to Sao Miguel. The apartment is more charming in person than it is in the pictures. It is well equipped and central to everything in Ponta Delgada. It was a great base for exploring the beautiful island. We walked to nearby restaurants and the supermarket (Continente Mercado). There is free parking about a block away from the apartment. Duarte and Catarina were wonderful hosts and provided some local cheese and food for us upon arrival. Francisco, the property manager, was so helpful. He met us at the rental car agency so we could follow him to the apartment. He worked with my husband to set up a fishing charter, as well. If we ever make it back to Sao Miguel I would definitely stay at Porta26 again.

A lovely introduction to the Azores

Excellent. Apartment was top-notch in every respect: large, well-decorated, close to the town centre and perfect for a family of four. Would definitely recommend. The service we received fron the apartment's owners was faultless as well.

Outstanding Apartment in the City Center

This was a great place to make our home base during our stay in the Azores. It is well apportioned, spacious, quiet and very close to all the shopping and dining. It also has very close free parking which was a huge plus as well. Our hosts Duarte and Catarina were wonderful and even provided us with several area food staples upon our arrival which was tremendous considering our very early morning flight. The property manager Francisco was also a great resource when it came to activities, dining and getting around the island. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Residence Porta 26

I have just returned home after a two week stay in Ponta Delgada in the beautiful residence Porta 26. This house is old Ponta Delgada in its beautiful location by Jardim Antero do Quental, within 8-10 minute walk from the historical city doors and includes all the amenities of our modern era. I enjoyed the beautiful wooden floors and the shelfs and cabinets filled with antiquities as well as the well equipped kitchen and the complimentary treats left by our hosts. It was also very helpful that bathroom and kitchen supplies such as shampoo, soap, laundry and dishwashing soap were included. Our hosts, Catarina and Duarte gave us an initial tour of the house and showed up the last day to say goodbye. Although they had always made themselves available we had no need to contact them because their house completely met our needs. I look forward to my next visit and hope Porta 26 will again be available! Thank you, Catarina and Duarte. Ate a proxima, Filomena Pacheco
