We would all return without hesitation!

We all had an absolutely wonderful time. Villa Cecilia is everything we hoped for, and more. We loved the design of the house and the garden, inside and out. The pool is lovely and a good size. It was perfect for relaxing. Castlebuono, the nearby town, was really worth a visit, particularly the frescos in the church crypt. We had an incredible meal at La Posada restaurant, many dishes all cooked by Signora Rosa. A day trip to Palermo was easy taking the train from Cefalu. I'm only sorry not to have explored the Madonie national park more but the villa was so relaxing and restorative that we rationed our days out! Visiting Pollina up top had fantastic views and intriguing narrow streets while all our groceries came from Finale at the bottom. We would all go back again.

Excellent avec vue incroyable

Un gîte excellent avec un soutien d’Andrea lors de notre arrivée. Une maison avec une vue exceptionnelle on peut se reposer et profiter de tous les endroits du jardin selon les moments de la journée. Piscine extra, nous garderons de très bons souvenirs la pizzeria de Pollina avec son incroyable vue, les gorges del Tiberio, Gangia et bien sûr la plage. Nous ramènerons de belles images et de beaux souvenirs

Lovely rural setting

The house was in a beautiful setting close, in a car, to the lovely hilltop Pollina with its restaurants and at the bottom of the hill Finale with supermarkets. Initially we were concerned as layout of property not ideal for toddlers but Andrea had provided a cot and we managed - great family eating area. Thanks we would recommend the place to others

Leuk huis, mooi uitzicht

Jammer genoeg hadden we een week met veel mist en regen, waardoor we het meeste van de tijd binnen moesten verblijven. De gaskachels die er waren deden het gelukkig goed en de elektrische dekens waren fijn om de bedden op te warmen. Huisraad was er meer dan voldoende, buiten overal leuke plekjes om te zitten en prachtig uitzicht (als de zon schijnt!) Er waren wel een aantal kleine mankementen die we doorgegeven hebben aan de eigenaar. Het enige wat we echt misten waren een paar lekkere stoelen om op te zitten (zowel binnen als buiten). Wegens de weersomstandigheden het meeste van de omgeving per auto gezien (het rijden in de supersmalle straatjes was een belevenis op zich)

Het roze huis aan de blauwe zee

Het roze huis is prachtig ingedeeld en doet denken aan de huizen van New Mexico. Met een klien binnenplaatsje, een apart verblijf op het lagere niveau en terrassen rondom. Pollina is niet ver weg, met een goede bakker. En je bent zo op het strand. En als je daar geen zin in hebt is er natuurlijk het zwembad. Wij hebben er genoten.

Ferien mit den Geschwistern

Casa Cecilia bietet den idealen Rahmen für einen entspannten Aufenthalt im Kreise lieber Menschen. Das Haus liegt perfekt in die Natur eingebettet abgeschottet vom Trubel der Aussenwelt und zeigt die Spuren seiner Geschichte. Man spürt, dass hier eine Familie viel Lebenszeit verbracht hat und fühlt sich zu Hause.

Een ruime woning op een prachtige, rustige plek. Voldoende ruimte in de woning. Prachtige tuin met zwembad. Tip: Een paar stoelen en/of een bankje met een goede zit in de woonkamer zou een verbetering zijn.

Vacances siciliennes en famille idéales

Quelle jolie maison de famille... nous avons adoré cette parenthèse enchantée sicilienne. En fonction des moments de la journée nous choisissions notre petit recoin favori. La vue est époustouflante... La famille d’Andréa a le souci de nous faire plaisir....très belle rencontre avec Séréna et sa maman.... Nous avons visité Cefalù, l’Etna, Taormina, Palerme (nous avons pris le train), la Villa Romana del Casale, la Vallée des Temples... biensûr de grosses journées avec quelques heures de voitures! Les sites sont à couper le souffle de beauté ! Mais quelle satisfaction de rentrer à la Villa, de se prélasser dans la piscine avec un verre de vin sicilien... à Pollina la pizzeria sur la place de la tour est trop bonne...et la petite épicerie avec ses petits gâteaux faits maison miam miam. Bref de belles vacances... et si on revenait. Céline et sa famille ( juillet 2019)

Wunderbare Tage

Wir (eine fünfköpfige Familie mit Teil erwachsenen Kinder) haben die Zeit in der Villa sehr genossen. Wir hatten etwas Sorge vor der Hitze im Juli aber diese war aufgrund der Hanglage am Berg auf 500 m Höhe und durch den großen, sauberen Swimmingpool jederzeit sehr gut erträglich . Das Haus hat sehr viel Charakter und ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet . Die Terrasse und der Garten bieten viele wunderschöne Plätze zum Verweilen, Essen und Ausruhen . Das Panorama zumMeer hin öffnet den Blick auf die Liparischen Inseln, welche an manchen Tagen zu sehen waren . Die frühen Sonnenaufgänge über dem Meer waren fantastisch. Abends ist der Garten stilvoll beleuchtet. Im Dorf Pollina wurden wir herzlich empfangen . Der Blick vom Theater und der dortigen Pizzeria ist fantastisch. Gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gab es in Finale , dem jüngeren Ortsteil am Meer . Auch hier gibt es einige ursprüngliche Restaurants . Zum Einkaufen in größeren Supermärkten kann man nach Cefalu fahren, wo natürlich sehr viel mehr touristische Aktivität herrscht. Ausflüge nach Castellbuono und in die Schlucht Gole di Tiberio haben uns gut gefallen . Andrea stand jederzeit über Telefon und Whattsapp zu schneller Hilfe und Beantwortung von Fragen bereit - Herzlichen Dank dafür ! Ich hoffe, wir können irgendwann dortigen wiederkommen !

Haus mit Charme

Wie haben eine Woche in diesem schönen Haus in wunderbarer Lage verbracht. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und es waren ein paar Kleinigkeiten zum Essen und Trinken vorhanden. Am Abend noch in der Pizzeria in Pollina. Das auch sehr gut zu Fuß zu erreichen war. Das Haus hat viel Charme, der kleine Mängel vergessen lässt. Nichts ist perfekt. Besonders der Kamin bescherte uns sehr gemütliche Abende, da es noch empfindlich kalt war. Andrea hat uns das Holz besorgt. Alles sehr unkompliziert. Am besten gefallen hat uns Castelbuono zum Einkaufen, Bummeln an Ostern, der ganze Ort war scheinbar auf den Straßen, um leckerste Dolci essen und Kaffee zu trinken.Nicht so touristisch wie Cefalu. Und für Wandermöglichkeiten in der Nähe sind ebenfalls sehr schön. Sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft.

Sehr schönes Haus in toller Lage

Das Haus liegt wunderbar in den Bergen mit einem tollen Meerblick. Es war sehr sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Insbesondere haben wir in der Küche nichts vermisst, es gab sogar eine Saftpresse. Durch die Autobahnanbindung liegt es ideal für Ausflüge, man kann aber auch direkt vom Haus aus los wandern. Ein Schlafzimmer liegt zusammen mit einem Bad und kleinem Wohnraum separat und hat vom Garten aus einen eigenen Eingang, was für uns aus der Beschreibung nicht so klar war. Einen kleinen Abzug gibt es, weil die Haustechnik im Frühjahr noch nicht einwandfrei funktioniert hat, der Verwalter war aber sehr bemüht. Gut ist es, wenn man italienisch spricht, weil die Personen, die die direkte Hausübergabe machen, ausschliesslich italienisch sprechen. Wir können dieses Haus sehr empfehlen und würden wieder kommen.

Bedårande genuina Pollina.

Lugnt och fridfullt i en bedårande vacker miljö med Fint boende och bedårande utsikt. Ett fint och rymligt hus med alla bekvämligheter. En känsla av det genuina Italien fick vi relativt snabbt. Promenader i bergen och till den vackra byn Pollina var en fin upplevelse. Många underbara utflykter med den hyrda bilen tog oss till fina platser på Sicilien. Vi vandrade uppför Etna, badade i havet i Cefalu och gjorde ett statsbesök i Palermo. Åt en fantastisk middag i byn Castelbuono.

Une maison de rêve

J'ai adoré la villa Cecilia. Mon mari et moi avons choisi la "suite" séparée: salon chambre et salle de douche de plein pied sur le jardin. Nos enfants disposaient d'une grande chambre avec un lit pliant pour leur bébé de deux mois, lit adorablement arrangé comme par une grand-mère. Un autre jeune couple avait une chambre plus petite mais agréable et notre dernière fille une chambre très petite mais suffisante. Les chambres disposent de grands placards et penderies. Deux salles de douche confortables pour ces trois chambres. Draps, serviettes et serviettes de plage étaient mis à disposition. La pièce à vivre, la cuisine, la terrasse, la salle à manger extérieure, la piscine, partout des vues époustouflantes sur la mer et des petits coins tranquilles. Un goût exquis et un accueil chaleureux. Merci à Giovanni et à Andrea en particulier. Nous avons passé des vacances formidables. Beaucoup de temps à profiter de la maison, quelques excursions à la plage, à Pollina et Castelbuono surtout pour les courses, Cefalu très agréable pour aller prendre un verre ou dîner le soir. Merveilleux dîner aussi chez Valerio à l'agriculturismo de la manna de Zabra (je pense que j'écorche un peu le nom de mémoire). Nous sommes aussi partis pour la journée, une fois à Syracuse et une à Taormine, un peu loin tout de même dans la chaleur de l'été. L'idéal serait une semaine à faire le tour de la Sicile et une semaine à la villa pour se reposer! GPS indispensable.

Really nice house

Me and my family (4 persons) had a really nice stay i july 2017. The house is clean, very nice with lot of nice details. Nice terrasses, pool and garden with the most stunning views. Nice restaurants in Finale and especially Castelbueno. We can only recommend this lovely place.

Lovely and restful vacation at Villa Cecilia

We very much enjoyed out stay at Villa Cecilia. The house and setting are very beautiful, it is well equipped and a real plus is that it is designed in such a way that there are many different and private spaces so you can have some time alone should you choose to do so, without sacrificing comfort or view. The nearby towns and beach are interesting and charming and they provide everything you might need in terms of basic services. I would stress that this is a place to go if you are not looking for a lot to do, but if you want to kick back by the pool, play at the beach and make an adventure of shopping for supplies, wandering through labyrinthine cobblestone streets with amazing views everywhere you look, this place is perfect. Our one frustration is that the house didn’t come with any information. We were met by two charming women – we think perhaps one of them was, in fact, Cecilia – but they didn’t speak any English so even though they ran around and showed us how most things worked, we weren’t able to ask questions and we only understood bits and pieces. We had to figure everything out on our own which wasn’t horrible, but other rentals have provided info like the closest grocer, recommended restaurants and how to deal with the trash and recycling, to name a few examples. The owner, who we made all the arrangements with, does speak English, but we never met him and he deferred everything to one of the women. Overall, we would recommend Villa Cecelia. The views, the setting, the house, the nearby beach all make up for any communication lapses.

We were unfortunate to say the least, 5 friends and I, set off for a week of sun and relaxation in Sicily. The former only popping out for two of the 7 days but the villa was a charming retreat from the prevailing rain. Photos can't capture the architectural brilliance that this house exudes. The living room, dinner room and kitchen form the start of a journey around the central courtyard, which finishes with the private bedrooms at the back of the house. Truly charming and enjoyable to live in. The outside spaces all with their unique characters meant we drifted round the house following the sun throughout the day. Lovely barbecue and outdoor kitchen which we would of used more if it wasn't for the weather. Two nights we spent huddled round the log fire in doors to keep warm! I would honestly recommend this villa to most if not all people. We were 6 people in our late 20s but I think it would work really well for families too. The more private bedroom and living room downstairs means that you can get a bit of peace and quiet from the rest of your group. And whatever you do, do not forget to have a shower outdoors over looking the sea! Billy Stayed June 2016
