The villa and the surrounding land was stunning in many respects. We enjoyed the pool area and tennis court and the overall space and the lovely pots and flowers, outdoor seating areas etcWe didn’t however fully appreciate the disjointed living space with some bedrooms in the tower and some in converted buildings There were several kitchens whereas one central one would have been better The living quarters were rather smelly and mouldy at first as though the place had been unoccupied and not aired properly. This did disappear after a few days. The bathrooms in the block with 4 bedrooms were rather tired and in need of updating and the shower over the bath didn’t work very wellThe bedding also needed to be more appropriate to the climate. The duvets and quilts were very heavy and some cotton sheets would have been lovely.Finally, the directions could be improved as everyone got lost on arrival and sometimes in the evening although the pots along the drive were a useful landmark coming from the Port
