A very comfortable and conveniently located property. Walking trail along the foreshore opposite, easy walk to general store and tavern. Sweeping views of bay from living area, well heated for a winter getaway.

Superb location overlooking the bay

Just the place for a bit of R & R and wonderful to take our dogs with us. Everything in the house that you'd need except a rack to hang clothes! Love the beautful new bathroom and laundry area & 2nd toilet will be a bonus once installed. Nice big family room with large windows looking out over the sea - what a view, it couldn't get much better. Cleaning a bit superficial [sticky kitchen handles, cigarette butts in plant pots, dirt under the matting] but nothing that can't be easily fixed. Pub and general store within walking distance. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thanks!

location location location,,,,aging but very clean house.. everything you want and very peaceful. beautiful green lawn out front near the waterline and with time the bushes and different plants would look amazing with a bit of pruning, care etc

I did send short email. Same dirty kettle, pipe rattling scared grand daughter Mick cushioned it.

Overall fine. Hard with Grand daughters issues with melt downs Mick got lots of negative looks. Screen on verandah worse than last year blow flies an issue with the heat. Concern for their security. Did send email re booking for January with 2 other places from 1st Jan to 7th Jan 2024 Istana and Siblys. We need close to the water for grand daughter and air conditioning. Left early as easier with our little girl. Thanks Sue and Mick

great stay with our pet whippet

Our 3rd time staying at Edith's cottage. Lovely quiet, comfortable spot to holiday. Our pet whippet loves watching the world go by while snuggled in her bed at the large front windows overlooking the bay. Such a treat being able to bring your dog along to enjoy the stay.

Disappointed

We were really disappointed with Edith's at Point Turton. The holiday home was deep down dirty and full of other people's stuff - including old used cakes of soap, old toiletries and past dated food supplies in the cupboards. The beds were uncomfortable and the shed was filthy with holiday gear and cobwebs. The windows had doggy nose marks which we cleaned. Not what we expected from the high ratings and good reviews on Stayz. We contacted the agent and were told it they never had any complaints about the venue. We supplied lots of photos of the substandard conditions and received no reply. Read carefully in the reviews - you will see that others have suggested the place needs a professional clean. The location was great and we had a lovely time in spite of the chipped crockery, absence of a salad bowl, lack of glassware and dirty venue.
