Awesome view, right on water, kids crabs & fishing from deck. Decent BBQ. Extras included.Whiting at tavern w ocean view. Close drive on beach Flahretys- safe shallows- amazing morning. Stingrays at jetty & squids. Takeaway & fresh bread general store Our best beach shak stay yet ( no wind & plenty of shade) easy walk nature playground/ bike track esplanade

Nothing "Classic" about this Shack

Beware. The Classic Shack is without doubt the worst Stayz listed property we have had the misfortune to book. The online photos are misleading and deceptive. The light and airy shots are not representative of the old dark dingy and smelly joy that awaits you. We arrived, entered the property, chose not to stay and drove straight home, ruining our planned stay at Point Turton. What a dump.

Stunning location and outlooks

Magnificent views, great location, and cozy lodgings. Great location for exploring surrounding coastline and sights. Nearby beaches are superb. Quiet setting, very peaceful, and great shack. Well worth a visit!

Classic shack maybe a couple minor of tweaks

Was a nice place to stay, very clean for what it is and great location. Has had a nice little Reno on the living areas but the toilet and bathroom area is still very original, not that it really bothered us at all. The only thing we found annoying about our stay was the entrances. Road access was there but only if you entered from the beach faced balcony/pergola area and opened from the inside. The sliding door lock was very temperamental and probably needs a replacement as it’s definitely on its last legs. If they were to change that lock and place one also on the road facing door where the parking is would make ease of entry much easier, and maybe a new fly screen door on the front also as the original wooden one is very tight to open and shut, especially trying to be careful as to not void a bond refund. Again no front handle to open from road entrance on fly screen door. Other than the entry situation the kitchen could do with a cheap microwave. These aren’t complaints at all, rather tips for the owners to maximise return visitors. Nice spot and very clean, we’d come back. Cheers.

Great location, beach shack description accurate. Having to supply bedding, towels and toilet paper seems harsh considering the price. Shower dripped all day/night with faulty valve. Bathroom generally sub standard. No microwave a surprise. With a few improvements it would be a great place. We did enjoy the views and walking trails.

Cute place in a nice location. Short walk to the playground and walking along the beach

Easy to book and communication was great. The house was clean and tidy. Bedrooms are quite small but enough for our young family of 5. The kitchen utensils like pans and knives are a bit outdated but we made it work. The views are lovely and there some board games available under the coffee table

Shack with a view

We enjoyed our time in The Shack. It was as we expected, not 5 stars but comfortable and clean with a great view. Sunrises over the bay, pelicans and hooded plovers, playing in the shallows. There is not a lot to do at Pt Turton itself but relaxing and no pressure is good. Pt T. is a great place to use as a central point to visit other sites. Meal at the Tavern (crumbed whiting)...excellent. overall good value.
