Great place to stay for a night or longer. Friendly staff, clean rooms, cute pool for the kids to enjoy and not far from the beach!

This place is a dump. Appears to be for sale. Bathroom was tiny. A/C window unit was very loud. Weird colonial era furniture with modern gray plank flooring. Nothing was done well here and for over $300 a night it is a rip off.

It was not true the information on their website had to walk 15 blocks boardwalk and the beach wad 6 blocks away. It was ok but not updated fair .

The staff was wonderful. They were very accommodating and helpful. However, if you got a room on the second floor, the bathroom was not updated and the shower was old and it looked as if there was mildew on the grout of the tiles. There was also very limited space to store things. There were no closets and just a few hooks in the room. Room was otherwise clean but the condition of the shower was hard to overlook.

Don’t recommend- sorry- old and not clean enough
Check-in was fine. Nice gentleman at the front desk. Hotel outside and anywhere you walked inside (to get to your room) was not cleaned up (at all, it seemed) pool was cloudy and not skimmed. We didn’t swim at all. Room was tiny but as clean as an older room could be. Warped bathroom door. We won’t be returning and I wouldn’t recommend if traveling with kids. Just isn’t clean or nice enough. Location is many blocks away from the boardwalk also.

Nothing special at all about this place. Staff was friendly and the grounds relatively clean but the rooms were a little musty and the beds were very old. Pics are a bit deceiving and the entry to the beach is a 10-15 min walk not right across the street as advertised.

Thank you ! We use all branded good quality cleaning supplies from top retailers in the country. Generally we do not have any issues from guests as we thoroughly clean, disinfect and freshen up all rooms before check in. Now fragrances, how they smell is something subjective as each guest has their preference which is hard to comprehend and beyond our control!

This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms are clean and quiet. It's an easy walk to the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment which was plenty roomy for the 3 of us.

Third time staying at Dunes by the Ocean. A great experience each time. Close to the beach, as well as the boardwalk. Restaurants nearby. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

It worked for what we were looking for. A shore motel that was close to the beach and had a pool. The rooms were a little bit smaller than we would’ve liked but the staff was nice and friendly and attentive and the place was clean. The only thing we would suggest is maybe bringing a broom and small mop/swifter with you because the floors get sandy and soaked, no matter what you do.

Our vacation stay was okay - room a little outdated, very small room (queen bed with double bed)- especially the bathroom. Sheets had black marker on them. Hotel needs a much needed facelift. Staff is very friendly & kind.

Sorry, but we have to take authorizations from the cardholder if they are not present in person for identification/verification at the time of check in and it is hard to guess that they will not be coming along when the booking is made unless we are informed about it. Thanks.

Nice people ran the hotel. Pool was nice. Bed was ultra soft, squeaky and uncomfortable. Room was on first floor and was dark. Shower and shower curtain were stained.

Family time.
I needed some family time. This was my 10 year old son's first time away from home. The Dunes was perfect for our needs. We will be looking forward to next summers stay. Maybe a weekend here and there as well

NO BUGS - None ever reported ever since the hotel has been operational!! It is extremely sad guests falsify events and make false statements about a property when they are refused a refund by hotel/motel or Expedia for random spot cancellations or when they do not wish to stay at a property last minute on the day of check-in ! You should call/check before hand to address your concerns before making a reservation, not falsify and make hideous claims against a property especially when they are no such issues and the intent is just to create malicious reviews !
