Hotel es muy tranquilo, la vista de la habitación a la playa es muy bonita pero la habitación falta refacciones en el baño. El buffet desayuno no es muy bueno, la atención no es tan buena.

Muy antiguo y nada de atracciones
El hotel se encuentra en muy mal estado, la idea es buena, pero ni la playa ni el hotel ofrecen nada interesante y se siente que la gran cantidad de dinero invertida no ofrece ninguna recompensa. Estuvimos tan solo 2 días en los que no pudimos pasar nada en el hotel porque no tiene nada que haga que uno se quede, el All inclusive se perdió en la cena por el dress code que tienen, el cual para un hotel en la playa no tiene ningun sentido.

Podrían haber incluido el desayuno, o al menos que no fuera tan carísimo. También podrían haber facilitado el transporte desde el aeropuerto. Días antes contacté por e-mail para preguntar por esta opción, así como por los alquileres de coches, y jamás me respondieron.

The sink was leaking the bathroom was leaking. Got there and had to wait long for a room to be prepared. The customer service at the front desk was good however, the staff in general was poor except for the young man who did the grilling & serving exceptional service. The bartenders were rude.

We do apologize for the inconvenience caused having to wait longer than expected for your room. This has been addressed with our Housekeeper and Front Office Manager to better manage the room stock especially when we have unforeseen call outs. It is unfortunate that you felt that there was not enough variety in the food offering. We offer a full breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet with a combination of both local and international dishes, along with D'Bay Grill a la carte (offering 17 options). We also offer for the afternoon tea snack a combination of pastries ans savoury options. That said, nonetheless, your comments will still be shared with our ChefRegardsLeslie

The staff, food, entertainment, property and overall surroundings were great. Even got to see turtles on the beach at night. Would just recommend mats by the sliding doors for the ground floor rooms and better tv viewing options. We did have a great stay.

Comfortable rooms, ocean view , excellent carribbean food and other European dishes. Managers afforded us an opportunity to celebrate a 60th birthday privately boy providing a verandah / open air venue . We had to provide all the party stuff, cake drinks, decorations and there was a pennysavers store nearby - driving 15 mins away . Excellent vacation for a mid price range .

The resort was always clean. The staff very friendly and every night was entertainment. The limbo and singers were splendid. The beachfront was beautiful and the food was always to die for. Spent 3 nights with my daughter in law and this is her third and my second. We'll definitely return. Ideal for couples and families.

The beachfront was adequately maintained.However the beach chairs and tables were dirty and broken . The rooms were poorly cleaned. The bathroom fixtures needed proper cleaning. The price for dinner is overly priced for the value and quality of the food served. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The breakfast is amazing and the nightly entertainment is mediocre.. The resort has a lot of potential to be a five star.. investment is needed to realize it's potential

The pool is the highlight of the property. Rooms need urgent updating, dining menu is limited (no allocation for vegetarians or vegans), stray animals on the property. Some staff are extremely friendly while some need extensive customer service training!

Thank you for posting your review and rating on what the hotel offers, and we will use your comments to guide our efforts in the various departments to influence the necessary improvements.For clarification, we do cater to vegetarians and vegans once it is brought to our attention. Our Chef will meet with the guest to plan a particular menu offering based on guest preferences. The issue with stray dogs on the beach, in particular, is one the hotel has been working with the local animal shelter to sort out. We are caught between a rock and a hard place, with hotel guests encouraging the dogs by feeding and petting them. The hotel will continue in its efforts to keep the dogs off the beach. We would agree that the hotel is not of a modern structure and design, and albeit it offers a true 80/90 Caribbean hotel charm, and we are working to improve where necessary. I enjoyed everything about this hotel the last time I stayed here (February 2023), however it was not the same this time around (December 2023). Service was not as good, food options were limited and rationed. A lotta times certain foods ran out and we were just told there is t anymore. Long lines to get food, had to wait for plates, beach towels. Just overall terrible. I recommended here to so many people because of my initial stay but I’ll have to give them a rest for a really long time or find some place else. I’m not sure if they could not handle to capacity of guests that checked in for the Christmas season. Starfish please fix asap

This is our third stay at starfish. There has been many updates since our first stay in early 2022. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. WiFi was good throughout hotel. Food was delicious. Both restaurants were excellent. Noticed many new staff. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We loved the addition of the covered seating areas by the pool. We met a new manager at the managers event. Very nice touch! It was obvious that he had done a great job making positive changes. He was so polite and pleasant towards us. We absolutely loved our stay.

The property was accommodating however my expectations were misled by the advertising of what to expect. My understanding to be treated as an exceptional guest you must invest in an all inclusive package which I’m never interested in I like the freedom of moving around, I wouldn’t rate the resort as one of the worst but staffing improvements are needed. Overall I’ll rate them a (3).

I was very dissatisfied with my stay there. After waiting over 3 hours to check in, the hotel was unable to confirm that I had already paid for my trip. The receptionist insisted they were not contacted by Expedia in any way, only to say 4 hours later that their phone was down and they could not be contacted. I therefore had to pay for my stay twice! Upon check out the hotel was still unable to confirm any contact from expedia. Contrary to the description, there was no wifi in the rooms or anywhere else, except for the lobby. The running water was yellow and smelled of sewage, so did the toilets. The sink took overnight to empty even though the water pressure was incredibly low and the shower handle was broken and squinting water im every direction. They did not even provide hand towels and beach towels required a deposit. If you did not purchase the all inclusive pass, you could not purchase drinks at the bar, you had to pay at reception and then return to the bar or leave your card open for the duration of your stay instead of being able to charge to your room. The check in staff was incredibly rude and really gave the Tobago trip a terrible start. The only redeeming thing about the hotel was the beach, the natural beauty is hard to compete with. Also if you're a vegetarian you will starve there. They will not serve any meals to your room, nor are you allowed to take any hotel meals up to your room.

We do apologize for the discomfort experienced upon check-in; however, the delay was mainly because the payment had to be made at the resort on check-in. This is the initial and follow-up information received from Expedia. Once this was sorted out, you were issued your room. The hotel policy clearly states that all reservations must come with confirmed payment before or on arrival at the resort. So based on all of the above, you were not charged twice for your stay.We do apologize for the lack of WiFi access, which is caused by weaker signal strength in some of the rooms. This is presently being addressed with the service provider to have this sorted out.The issue you mentioned about the water quality is correct, but unfortunately, this was the water being supplied by WASA at the time, not only to the hotel but to the general community. Hence, later, we had to shut off the lines coming from WASA and open our reserve tanks.The issue highlighted with the plumbing was investigated and proven to be true. We would like to apologize for the lack of attention to detail on the part of our maintenance team. This has been addressed very firmly with our Maintenance Supervisor. For clarification, the hotel does not offer cashing services at the food and beverage outlets to control payments. Hence, just like all international hotels, a standard deposit is taken on arrival to cover any incidental charges incurred. Check in to 3 hours before we got into the room. The food is horrible and to salty. Over charged for the food. Rum punch is good. The beach is beautiful. Pool always has sand in it. To much sand.

Didn’t like the fact the toilets seats were old and dingy , the floor ( ground floor) was cold to wet, which made it feel unclean .

The issue with the floor being wet may be caused if the air condition was left on with the door/s open causing condensation. Old Rustic Bargain Hotel
Old hotel with rustic charm. Courteous and helpful staff. Great buffet breakfast which was included with the cost of the room. Excellent location. All rooms look out on the bay with its turquoise clear blue water.

Great stay option for a getaway all inclusive or breakfast inclusive. Food was tasty, resort was well maintained. Drinks were fine. Most staff were nice and my favorite member of staff would’ve been the omlet chef as she was kind, interactive and very warm and welcoming. Also shout out to the assistant manager for taking an international step to provide free breakfast for an early check in. That somehow set the tone for the staycation!

It had about 2-3 food outlets on the property, so there was no reason to go far for food.

I enjoyed my stay at Starfish Tobago; however, there is NO internet unless you are in the lobby (or maybe a room close to the lobby), also it is very far from all of the action of town and even the next closest bar is too far to walk. If you stay here, I recommend renting a car or preparing to pay for a taxi everywhere you go. The facilities were nice otherwise. I very much enjoyed my stay. It is a VERY quiet resort, so if you are looking for a lot of entertainment, or any at all, this is not the resort for you.
