Family get together

Plymouth Get-A-Way
We enjoyed our time in Plymouth very much. Shane was very welcoming and informative upon our arrival, oriented us to the accommodations and provided us with a number of excellent restaurant recommendations in the area as well as suggesting interesting local activities. The apartment was clean, well furnished, and had a lovely large sauna-like tub, and the yard was welcoming with a comfortable sitting area and fireplace. We loved the private beach (about a 4 minute walk) and the surrounding wildlife preserve. The area has a lot to offer, has easy on/off access to Cape Cod while being less busy and hectic than many areas of the Cape can be. Thank you Shane, John and Bonnie.

One of the Best places we have stayed
We loved this place! perfect spot to just unwind and relax. Owners were very nice and made us feel at home and comfortable. The beach was just a short walk away and only a few people there. The guys were able to fish right from the beach. Thanks Shane for the great conversations!

Lovely stay
The location was great. Right next to the beach and the backyard was lovely. Inside is about the size of a studio apartment and was comfortable. The bath was a great way to relax after a long day on the beach. The owner also rents out the room above so if there are other guests staying you can hear muted footsteps and may have to share the backyard.

Picturesque, quiet location
My wife and I rented this lovely, small basement apartment for a week this summer and throughly enjoyed our stay. Our adult daughtler joined us for three days and slept on the pullout sofa. The aprtment was cozy. There is limited privacy for a third or fourth guest using the sofa bed, but the bathroom iis very large and includes a double sized jacuzzi bathtub. We really enjoyed the patio and garden in the rear of the house. which were great for reading, napping, and eating al fresco. There is a very pleasant sand beach a short walk away next to marshy grasslands. The water is very cold, but swimable, when the tide is receeding and the water has warmed up in the sun. We recommend wearing flipflops or swimming shoes as there are many small rocks at the edge of the water. Bug repellant is a must except on windy days. This apartment is a sort drive to a few small restaurants, a cafe, and bar, a CVS, a supermarket,. and service stations. It is only a few miles drive to the Sagamore Bridge to Cape Cod where there are a few beaches with warmer water, lifeguards, rest rooms, and snack bars. However, parking is typically $30 per day, and the lots fill up quickly. In sum, we enjoyed this apartment for its comfort, quiet, beautiful garden, proximity to a quiet beach, and nearby shopping. The hosts were very pleasant and prompt at answering our questions and addressing a few things we needed (e.g., an ironing board, openig the door, when we locked ourselves out, etc.) . We hghly recommend this cozy, low-key getaway that can be reached without dealing with much of the traffic crossing the bridges to Cape Cod.

I have stayed in many places, but none as awful as this one. The place was dreary, dark and very old. The bed was not the queen as advertised and had three layers of tiny blankets. The sheets were old and did not stay on the mattress properly. The furniture was shabby. There was NO CLOSET. No place to hang anything up. No luggage rack, no regular TV. The kitchen had a window between it and the bathroom! The shower was so tiny that you hit the sides with your elbow. The shower ceiling had water damage, and nails protruding from the wall. The wall near the tub was cut and the plasterboard was removable. The decor looked like a garage sale threw up in it. This place had NO SMOKE DETECTOR AND NO SPRINKLER SYSTEM. This space was unsafe.

Magical Garden Hidden Treasure
The hosts were gracious and responsive, but offered us privacy even though they were living on the property. Their artistic sensibility and sense of the enchantment in nature surrounded us, both inside and outside the apartment. The kitchen and furnishings were comfortable and complete. My one note of caution is that the bed was super squishy, which was not to my preference as an older person with a tricky back.

A peaceful retreat
We were greeted personally by very friendly owners who had kindly chilled a bottle of wine to welcome us. This was a property with lots of character; beautifully decorated. Just a couple minutes walk from a deserted private beach, it was a safe place to allow my 16 year old to explore tide pools by herself. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom is a treat with a large jacuzzi tub that I used every night to relax. And despite being remote, a less than 5 minute drive to restaurants and grocery and pharmacy. We also easily traveled to Boston for an afternoon at the MFA; also very close to Cape Cod. My only suggestion is that if you plan to cook, bring cooking utensils (one spatula, a can opener and wine bottle opener are the only cooking utensils provided), and your own dish soap, sponge, and disinfecting wipes or spray as there was nothing there to tidy up - during a 5 day stay it’s nice to be able to clean the countertops and clean the cutting board and knives when cooking a meal. If you are planning to eat out for all meals you are all set! Overall a wonderful, relaxing vacation which is exactly what we were looking for!

Vacation, finally!
We had a great time. The apt. is very cute and comfortable. We enjoyed chatting with the owner and wished we had more time to spend relaxing in the beautifully landscaped yard. We didn't realize the beach was so close when we rented, it was a nice surprise.

The place was clean and the hosts were very accommodating. The queen bed was comfortable but the pull out bed is not suitable for older adults to sleep on. The beach is private and very close by. It was a natural shore line, seaweed and rocky but we enjoyed it. They had beach towels and chairs available and the outdoor fire place was a nice touch. The jetted bath tub worked fine for us. The location was close enough to Boston and Cape Cod, perfect for us. The unit is the lowest level of a three level house so it was a bit musty but better when we opened some windows. The people above us had kids so we could hear them running around but not an issue after 10pm. Overall I gave them 5 stars as it was a great value for your money. Plymouth was a great town to visit! Thanks for having us.

My friends and I had a great stay here. The beach really is secluded and is quite beautiful for walks. Stay was comfortable and quiet. Make sure you bring a car. We had a really hard time finding Uber’s.

Nice apartment feel
The location is very secluded, but nice. My friend and I stayed here and we really liked the amount of room. There is a small indoor shower, but we preferred the outdoor enclosed shower, plus it was roomier. Large patio and backyard to use if you’d like, and a grill. The kitchen is fully outfitted if you want to prepare meals, as well. If you are a plus-size person, you may find the mattresses a bit uncomfortable, but an air mattress was a small price to pay for having a nice place to stay. I only met John, but he was very kind and informative. The entrance is on the opposite side of the house you park on, but it’s a short walk for moving your things to and from. We stayed during a heat wave, so we were eternally grateful for the amazing A/C. The beach is a pleasant walk away, and very quiet.

Nice getaway near a quiet beach
Great hosts. Very clean place and nice private beach. They provided beach chairs and sand toys and even left a bottle of wine as a finishing touch. We enjoyed our stay and found a few cute restaurants in Sandwich with great food.

Wonderful Experience
The host was very hospitable, but not overbearing. They were careful to make sure that we had everything we needed, but we good at letting us have privacy. The property itself is Wonderful. It was a short 2 minute walk down to the private beach. Most of the time we were the only ones on the beach. The area itself had some surprisingly great food. The Irish pub was great, Rock Bottom Seafood was very tasty and The Blue berry Muffin was a great breakfast spot. The food up north in Plymouth proper was still good, but not as excellent as the places near this property

A Home Away From Home
The property and location were great - quiet and comfortable. The Blaneys were excellent hosts - very friendly and welcoming. They live on the property and are there if you need them or have any questions. They stayed in touch during our drive from New York and check-in was very easy. We had lovely beach walks and some nice day trips. Flynn's Irish Pub nearby has really good food and a great range of beers (flights available). The scenic drive along historic Route 6A is a lovely drive with great shopping and eats - Father's Kitchen & Taphouse in East Sandwich, is highly recommended. We had such a nice long weekend and can't wait to return! Thanks Bonnie, John and Shane!

Great break
All our vacation plans had fallen through due to COVID and we had been in our house living, working and studying since March 8th. This simple escape was the break we needed. Short walk to the beach and we really enjoyed the outdoor space in the backyard. The owners even let us have an old friend stop by for dinner and that was so good for the soul.

Perfect Beach during COVID
This is the perfect location if you want a safe getaway during COVID. The beach is private, a 3 minute walk from the house, and at most there were 12 people on the entire beach when we were there. We recommend water shoes as the beach is rocky, but if you go during low tide, there are sand banks that form which are perfect for little ones. The owners were very pleasant and provide the essentials, plus access to their beautiful backyard. We enjoyed having dinner in the evenings on the patio. They live onsite, but provide you with the necessary privacy for a relaxing vacation.

Amazing!
This property is right on the ocean, seriously amazing how close, maybe a three minute walk. The hosts were very nice, even though they are above you- you won’t notice them at all so don’t be scared! The best little ocean house ever. Fire pit, outdoor wash area, grill and a beautiful little puppy! Thank you guys so much! Can’t wait to come back!

2nd visit and we loved it again!
My spouse and I rented the Sea Side villa last year and absolutely loved our stay, so we wanted to enjoy as soon as the Covid rental restrictions were lifted. Bonnie, Shane and John were very nice and helpful. The unit was sparkling clean. We enjoyed the beautiful yard and the beach (really a few minutes away). I would highly recommend this place.

Perfect private getaway
Beautiful property with all the amenities. Easy access to a private beach, outdoor hot water shower for when you return, and air conditioned studio apartment to cool off. Enjoyed the jacuzzi as well. Ordered food from local food store through Instacart, it arrived less than 2 hours later, and we were set for the long weekend.

Nice place!
Great little place, beautiful yard, short walk to the beach, quiet neighborhood. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a restful getaway... (Parking was a little tight, ok for a car, but a big van might be tricky...) We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

Great birthday weekend
My fiancé and I had a great relaxing vacation staying at the Seaside Villa celebrating our birthdays. I am extremely picky when it comes to cleanliness and can honestly say that this was the cleanest place we’ve rented on Homeaway. We had everything we needed during our stay. John, Bonnie and Shane are the nicest people. They’ve left us a nice note and bottle of champagne for our celebration. The spot is a hidden gem, by an amazing beach. Morning walks on the beach during low tide is highly recommended! :) Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay and hope to visit the Seaside Villa again in the future.

John was a very nice and accommodating host. The cottage was absolutely wonderful.
My family and I had a great experience and delightful vacation. I cannot say enough how clean the cottage was and it had everything that we needed. The property was great! We went for our anniversary. Upon arriving the owner was waiting outside for us to give us a tour and gave us a bottle of champagne to start our celebrating! For being in the same house as the owner, you would not have known. So peaceful and relaxing and private with a private entrance to our room! The beach is a short walk away. The beach was pretty rocky but there are sections of sand to sit and relax. Overall it was very nice and relaxing getaway. I would recommend this for anyone looking for some tranquillity. We would go again!

Perfect beach get-away
We had a great time visiting Seaside Villa. The unit was exactly as described, the fridge was even a bit bigger than we anticipated so we had plenty of room to put drinks and snacks while we were there. The beach is a short walk (~3 minutes) and was very private. It was perfect for my 2 daughters to run around and play. The gardens on the property are beautiful and there is plenty of seating outside to enjoy them. The hosts were easily accessible when needed and offered helpful advice about the area and navigating to Boston. They even left a bottle of wine for us. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property!

Prime location, two minute walk to the beach. Property was really cute and back patio very peaceful and relaxing. Hosts were attentive and helpful. Check-in and check-out a breeze. Plymouth is great town to visit where history abounds. Highly recommend the Plimouth Plantation. Best seafood in Cape Cod within five minutes of the home. Highly recommend!

Secluded Seaside Villa
My wife and I used this location as a home base to visit Plymouth and Cape Cod. The location was great for exploring both. The three minute walk to a private beach was great for a relaxing day when we needed a break from site seeing! Shane was very responsive to all our needs. We had a very nice stay at Bonnie, John, and Shane's place in Plymouth. Owners are very friendly & communicated well. Beautifully landscaped yard. The bottle of wine and chocolates on arrival was a nice touch! Very close to the beach as described and a short drive to Plymouth Center. Would recommend!

Awesome Vacation Destination!!!
My wife & I chose this as our honeymoon/ vacation spot. It was easily one of the best choice that we ever made! Our hosts Bonnie, John, & Shane were in constant communication until our arrival, and John was there to greet us when we finally arrived. He gave us a quick layout of the area, and then let us get acclimated and do our own thing. Bonnie went out of her way to provide us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate our new marriage! Shane made sure that we had all of the information we needed & was our main contact for the duration of our stay. The apartment itself was very nice and more spacious than any hotel room that you would find. The outside of the house is beautifully landscaped, and you have access to anything on the grounds if you're inclined to have a small fire, cook on the grill, or just sit & relax. The entire area is private & secluded with the beach literally a short stroll away. Plymouth is not only a great place to checkout when you have the time, but it also close enough to every spot in MA that anyone would want to explore, also. This was honestly the best vacation that I've ever had!!! The best part was definitely the fact that after a long day of exploring, it felt like you were returning to your home away from home. It's hard to pick what was the best part of our stay. There are so many options. Our hosts were kind & considerate. They were never intrusive or bothersome. Yet, they always checked every day to see if we needed anything. Seriously, anything you might need, they'll help out in any way they can. We will definitely be returning. Hopefully, it will be around the same time next year. Once again, you cannot go wrong with picking here as your getaway place. A big THANK YOU to Bonnie, John, & Shane!!! Great people and good location. Beautiful wetlands and water close. They have a beautiful backyard! We used this place as a hub between Provincetown and Boston but Plymouth is awesome as well! Our hosts were very kind and went out of their way to have wine for us and make sure outdoor fire pit was ready to go. Washer and dryer are available but not right in the cottage if that matters to anyone. My husband does laundry constantly and that was not ideal for him lol. Grateful for our hosts and such a great area.

Our second visit to the Seaside Villas was peaceful and serene. We stayed in the garden level this time and only missed the view of the beach and ocean.

Quiet, clean, perfect, fantastic, everything we needed, comfortable
Short walk to the beach. Great for beach combing. Not alot of waves and shallow areas for the kids. Beautiful scenery. We saw seals swimming and popping their heads up. Great patio area for a night time fire. Wish we could've stayed longer. Short drive to shopping, dinner and historical sites.

Amazing landscaping and very friendly and courteous owners...
The grounds were breathtaking with gorgeous flowers, plants and trees and even a fluffy, furry hedgehog. The beach is literally a 2 minute walk and extremely private just as advertised. When we arrived there were goodies and a bottle of wine waiting, which was super. Also, the first morning we were there Shane went out and got us DELICIOUS muffins for breakfast, extremely thoughtful. We also really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. We will be returning and this time will bring our son.

We traveled from upstate New York to enjoy a weekend at the ocean. We couldn’t have chosen better.
Shane was very personable and professional. Our room was stocked with a fresh bottle of wine and chocolates. It was very clean and accommodating. The ocean is a very short walk away and the privacy and serenity can not be beat. My boyfriend, sister and myself enjoyed a long weekend that was unforgettable. We are already planning our return trip to this little gem. Thanks for such a nice stay!

Great stay!
We we’re very impressed with our time at this home. Our hosts we’re very hospitable and responsive. They thought of everything and more. The private beach is just around the corner. Definitely recommend this property to others!
