Plymouth hotel

Room was very large with a nice big tv It was a little bit tired but still comfy. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Happy to return....

The greeting was warm and friendly. Very helpful and positive person on arrival. This counts for a lot. The room was clean and comfortable with enough space too which is a bonus. We were able to leave our bicycles inside which is a great thing for peace of mind. The location is great too, only 5 minutes from the Port which was perfect for us. For the price it ticks all the boxes.

Uni stop over.

Not the Ritz, more Faulty Towers. Only stayed one night for the Uni open day. Basic accomodation, lots of clutter around, old mattresses, odd bits of furniture etc. We stayed in a top floor room, no air conditioning, room quite hot, but comfortable bed and on-site was ok. Towels were provided, but no additional bits or pieces. We did not eat at the place so can't comment on that. Location wise, easy walking distance to town and it backs on to Central Park.

In my partners words “that was just horrible”!

Not worth £50 odd quid a night. Spent a while trying to decide if better or worse than the dodgy hostels I’ve experienced in Thailand. Might be ok if you’re in Plymouth 1 night and your criteria is somewhere soft and dry for the night. Pros: New clean pillows polite friendly staff Shower water was hot Better than a park bench Cons Smelly bed Shower was like a wasp spitting on you and water didn’t drain away Only 1/4 lights in room worked No heat in bedroom Old windows =could hear traffic like window was open Carpet in need of replacement (frayed/stained)

Super value, excellent location.

The visit was to attend an open day at Plymouth University. We drove 300 miles to be there so a stopover was appealing. We had free parking, free wifi, a spacious clean room of character. For character I mean, high ceilings and space, that you tend to get with an older property. The appliances and decor where a mix of old and new. The situation is ideal for the city centre. Our rate for a twin room included breakfast, which was cooked by a charming local lady and served by a resident gentleman. Parking is to the rear and is free either onsite (two spaces) or in the access road. I am fussy about parking and I felt the vehicle was safe and a much better option than the 'self parking' that some hotel chains offer and you have to pay for. I love these private establishments that offer such great value over the super chains. Long may they continue. I would book again in a heart beat.

Good quaint stay

Very surprising room , large and comfortable . Tv Ariel needs some work as one channel worked but overall good and would stay again

nice guest house,easy parking,nice large room comfy bed.We were not able to have breakfast because it was only available at 9:30,which was far too late for us,we were on a working trip.but everything alse was very good.

The hotel was ok, cheap price which was good. The room was fine as we were just spending one night there before travelling on, for someone planning a holiday of a few days in Plymouth they would probably be advised to look for something more comfortable.

Don't think about it!

This hotel was dirty and smelly. After checking in we went up to our rooms - we had booked 2 x twin rooms with ensuite - only one had an en-suite - the other had a bathroom down the corridor with no lock on the door. In 3 of the beds there were curly personal body hairs and stains on the sheets and in the en-suite sink there were lumps that looked like dried nose contents stuck on the inside of the sink. Went down to reception to speak to the member of staff who couldn't care less and said there was nothing he could do. We checked out and didn't stay here - sleeping in the car was preferable to trying to sleep in this dump.
