"Not all units have a pool but I had a nice tub and didn't miss the pool at all. This beach was great for finding little sea shells. This resort is better suited to 1 or two night stays because it's very remote and it's not practical to come and go. I really enjoyed my time here."

"Firstly, upon arrival, there were no staff present to complete our check-in. We were left waiting to be addressed for 10 mins. In addition, we noticed a sign stating that there would be construction between 9am-5pm; it stated that the construction had no relation to Makara Villas. We came to find, it was in fact, the villa across from ours in the complex. This was unbeknownst to us as there was no mention of construction prior to making our booking. However, awful roads surrounding the villa, nowhere is walkable, lots of noise from stray dogs, bikes and from the town below. Whilst some staff were lovely, they weren’t proactive. Food left going mouldy in the room and not removed during cleaning. We had a power cut which was out of their hands, but we had to contact them to find out if there were any battery or solar lights. El lugar es muy tranquilo, ideal para descansar, y el personal fue súper atento y amable en todo momento. Nos ayudaron con todo lo que necesitamos. La ubicación también es excelente: muy cerca de Thomas Beach, restaurantes y mercadillos, lo que hizo nuestra estancia aún más cómoda y entretenida. "This place is a must stay on our return to Bali. We stayed in 4 locations on our trip and this one stole the show. Small, stunning views, excellent food, nice people. We especially loved the view from the restaurant and the pools. Our room was a real treat, clean, modern and stunning environment, the monkeys swinging in at dawn were an extra bonus."

Just one thing to note you will need to rely on grabs or ground transportation to leave and come back to the hotel but I believe that is typical for the area. Overall a lovely stay!"

"Die Anlage ist wunderschön. Allerdings fand ich da Zimmer etwas ungemütlich und dunkel - Geschmackssache. Einen Stern ziehe ich ab, das es ein sehr begrenzte Auswahl im Café gibt und das nur zur bestimmten Uhrzeit, in unmittelbarer Umgebung ist sonst nichts. Mit Bike alles schnell erreichbar."

"The room was not very clean, the pictures online are not accurate. However, the staff was very helpful and attentive and the pool area is great."

"Pretty disappointing. The electricity didn’t work well and when it worked, the AC was not working either. The room was quite dark and the bathroom was not the cleanest. It wasn’t the most expensive hotel but also not cheap for what you get. It looks 100 times better in the pictures. I don’t recommend it at all."
