Last year I taught world geography at our homeschool co-op and one of the class learning objectives was: spark a new love for adventure so you may embark one day on a trip of your lifetime! I, as the teacher, took that to heart and asked my family where they would live to venture to. Costa Rica, of course. My kids love Coyote Peterson and all his ventures to Costa Rica and learning about all the animals and bugs. This place did not disappoint! If you are looking for a place close to an amazing beach, Playa Grande, but not far from the Tamarindo area, this is the place to go. The property is amazing and the home we stayed in was clean. The host, Kai was so helpful and friendly! If the opportunity arises again, we would love to stay there again. Pura Vida!
We found this place in the dark in torrential rain. That in itself was an adventure, lol.
Side note, when you rent a vehicle in Costa Rica, get a hotspot along with the rental. The WAZE app is also great. It was included in our hotspot. If you don't have a hotspot, it likely can be downloaded to use as your navigation throughout the country.
Check out the little fruit stands along the roads. They have great local fruit and the prices are affordable.
Highly recommend going in the transition season as well.
