Luxurious Private Home Near Mamitas Beach

  • This is a spacious, luxuriously renovated private home located 4.5 blocks from Playa's best beach. We are located in a vibrant neighbourhood that contains a mix of locals and vacationers. Turn left and you quickly arrive at some of Playa's best restaurants and the famous fifth avenue. Turn right and you will find more restaurants where locals and tourists mix, as well as large grocery stores and fantastic local markets. Everything is walking distance and Playa's best beach is only 5 minutes away.

    This modern home has been recently renovated and features an open floor plan with high-end finishes including marble, granite and stainless steel. There is a full kitchen ideal for anything from making a simple smoothie or a margarita to preparing a complex meal. Have a smoothie before morning yoga at your breakfast bar, whip up a Thanksgiving turkey dinner and serve it on your dining room, or better yet, have ceviche cocktails and margaritas and enjoy them at your outdoor dining table. Connect to your Netflix account on our flat-screen smart TV and catch up on your favourite shows.

    We feature two full marble bathrooms including a master spa bath with a double rain shower, high-end egyptian cotton towels and amenities. We have a water softener and plenty of hot water and good water pressure.

    Two spacious bedrooms feature high-end king-sized mattresses, lush imported pillows and high-thread count linens.

    There is a beautiful oversized private patio and a lovely shared pool and garden area (photos to follow). The massive patio off of the back bedroom has a seating area with candles and recessed lighting as well as a hammock for lazing away the afternoons. We have an in-room safe, a washer/dryer unit and of course, air-conditioning.

    The house is well-maintained and its owners are very committed to the upkeep of the property.

    We offer a cozy and sumptuous retreat for your short or long-term stay in Playa del Carmen.

Very impressive! Highly recommended!

The property was great and Ursula was great to work with. The property manager greeted us upon arrival and went through the property with us. The place is very clean and well decorated. Bedrooms were comfortable. Bathroom, and particularly the upstairs bathroom, are very nice including a double shower. Ursula was very accommodating and ensured that we were taken care of and had everything we needed. Great restaurants and bars are close to the location as it is located in a convenient location. It was quiet at home but lots to do right by the home. I highly recommend staying here!

this was a scam. No response from owner after paying and no check in information received. had to contact VRBO directly and they could not get a hold of the owner. Luckily, VRBO is reputable and I was issued a refund although we were stranded day of check in. VRBO has a global guarantee that they upheld. We did not rebook through VRBO however and went in another direction. Stay away from this listing at all costs.

Listing was a scam!

Listing was a scam. Charged my credit card and sent us confirmation then the checkin email. Checkin email had no information. Have not been refunded. Never had this happen with VRBO before. Had to book another hotel in the plane to Mexico!

Brilliant - Fabulous - A true delight.

We truly enjoyed our stay. Gabriela who greeted us was a jewel. She presented us with a stunning arrangement of flowers and a bottle of wine. Such a touching gift that we cherished during our week. She provide us with all the information we needed and showed us around. The pictures are spot on! Very roomy, extremely clean and all the comforts that you may need are right there. Ursula has provided for all your vacation needs plus more. The home is first-class! The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are excellent (the upstairs bathroom very classy). Ursula had excellent restaurant, shops etc.. recommendations and was of great help. She went way beyond to make our stay comfortable and marvelous. A big thanks from the bottom of our hearts - Ursula!

Beautifully maintained, great location!

We had another wonderful stay at Toltec House. The location is ideal--close to the action, but not too close! The two-story apartment is beautifully maintained, with high quality linens, very comfortable beds, and a great selection of art. The appliances, including the air conditioners, function perfectly, and the apartment is very secure, clean, and well equipped (pots and pans, etc.). It is very close to great restaurants like Elemento which are off the beaten path (Fifth Avenue), and the neighborhood is quiet. We will be back!

A sanctuary after a long day.

This super clean and modern space was amazing. The ultra modern 2 person rain shower was wonderful....as were the two king size beds!!! Communication with the owner and property liaison was easy and friendly. Within walking distance of everything you could ever want and need. Would highly recommend to those visitors who want a home away from home feel to their trips.

Exactly as listed!

Beautifully decorated, clean, very comfortable beds. Highlight is the small garden and bedroom balcony with tropical plants and birds singing. Lovely original art. Awesome to meet the owners as well! We would definitely book Toltec House again. Great month, gracias to Gabriela and Alex as well!

Perfect extended getaway for our family!

We spent a wonderful three weeks at Toltec House with our 2.5 year old and 6 week old kids. The location is amazing: One block to cheap eats on 30th and three blocks to touristy places on 5th. The house was perfect for our needs - comfy beds, good A/C and a 15-min walk to Mamitas beach (faster without two little ones). Lots of helpful amenities like beach towels, sun hats and a large canvas beach bag. The kitchen was well-appointed and allowed us to cook meals at home if we couldn't get the family together to go out. The backyard and second floor balcony are lovely (but bring your mosquito spray!). The neighbors are friendly and the area feels very safe. It is quiet except for during the school day when the school across the street plays music and announcements. The Mega and Wal-Mart are walkable for any needs you have (for us, diapers, beach umbrella and chairs, and lots of water). Gabi (the property manager) and Ursula (the owner) are both lovely and easy to communicate and deal with. This is a great spot for two couples or a small family!

5* Shangri-La is a true delight for the senses !

Casa Tolteca is truly breathtaking. From the moment you arrive and enter the property you're struck with a sense of delight. It's obvious that the owners put alot of thought into furnishing this property. There is marble flooring throughout as well as beautiful art. The roofed back patio comes equipped with very functional furniture as well as a very sturdy hammock. The appliances are very modern as well. The backyard has its own hammock along with a table and chairs. I was sad to leave but I know that I will be back. Thanks for making me feel pampered Ursula !

Tolteca House es una excelente propiedad, la casa es exactamente como se describe en el anuncio y se observa en las fotografías, incluso ofrece mucho mas de lo que se aprecia en ellas. Todo lo que se necesita para una estancia como en su propia casa, utensilios de cocina, mantelerìa, ropa blanca, lavarropas. Decorada con un exquisito gusto!! Un patio trasero y un balcón de ensueño. La propiedad estaba impecable en limpieza y mantenimiento en nuestro ingreso. Estuvimos alojados 1 semana en Tolteca House y no surgió ningún inconveniente en nuestra estancia. La casa esta situada en una zona muy linda y exclusiva de Playa del Carmen, a solo tres cuadras de un gran supermercado, lleno de tiendas de servicios y restaurantes a los alrededores. La playa aunque en el mapa se muestra a unas 6 o 7 cuadras, es muy cerca en realidad, las cuadras son pequeñas, así que en 5 minutos uno tiene acceso a las playas Mamitas, de las mas lindas de Playa. Fuimos con vehículo de alquiler, el cual pudimos dejar en un espacio de estacionamiento que tiene la casa en la calle. Perfecto! La dueña de la casa, Ursula, siempre estuvo a nuestra disposición, aún en algunos requerimientos especiales que hemos solicitados. Kelly, la manager de la propiedad en Playa del Carmen, excelente servicio, atenta a cualquier requerimiento nuestro, muy amable, cordial y divertida. Sin dudas hemos disfrutado de nuestra estancia en la casa, volveríamos nuevamente y recomendaríamos en un 100% esta propiedad a futuros huéspedes. Gracias por su servicio, excelente!!!

Great Place

We just returned from a month in PDC staying at the Toltec House. Everything was great, the beds are very comfortable, it is decorated nicely, all the towels are top notch. The proper management was great. Hope to return.

Beautiful home in a perfect location!

We stayed at Toltec House for 2 weeks in December. The house is located perfectly - a few blocks from the beach, the famous 5th avenue, a major grocery store and walking distance to several good restaurants, coffee shops, gyms, etc. The house has everything you need to have a wonderful stay. The bed was very comfortable which is a definite plus. The second floor balcony is a great place to relax, have a drink and/or read a book. The owner is amazing! She provides guests with a welcome guide and answers any questions you may have in advance of your trip. Once at Toltec House, you are greeted by the property manager. She will make you feel at home and show you a few things around the house. We would definatively stay at Toltec House again.

Beautiful Place

The location is the best! Very close to everything! The place has just been renovated and everything is very good quality. The owners are amazing and really care about their property and their guests. I will definitely stay here again.
