The condo was all we could have hoped for, clean, and the property is well maintained. Excellent location! The owners were prompt at replying with any questions we had. The housekeeper is friendly and thorough. Thank you Oscar & Andrea for a home away from home--we will return!

The home was very clean and comfortable. Access to the beach via the Reef hotel was busy as Oscar promised, but the side access worked well!We had one day where the running water wasn't working. Oscar explained that this is because there's a tank shared by the whole building and if the building is really full sometimes it runs out before the staff can re-fill it.

We enjoyed walking, pool and beach. The management was highly responsive when needed. The condo property was very well maintained and provided a quiet friendly environment.

I gave an overall 3* mainly because of the listing stating “pet friendly” while the are NOT permitted nowhere on the property. We were there with our mini Yorkipoo of 7 pounds for 91 days but decided to leave almost 3 weeks earlier. Dogs are not welcome on that property. You cannot walk on the property with your pet: not in the small wood behind the property, not on the grass around the property, not in the parking or the aisle of the property, nowhere! And watch out to make sure you dog 🐶 does not make any noise close to barking even ounce, you will receive a complaint and may have to pay a fine. So I walked a lot … on the sidewalk. Just too bad the owner post the property as “pet friendly” because otherwise it is a nice place as described, although the interior of the condo is rather dark and the kitchen was missing a few items (cutting knife 🔪, oven mitts, cast iron skillet 🍳, etc) that we bought and left behind. The owner has always been polite. We were lucky to meet marvellous people from Québec (just like us) on site, they save our vacations. Otherwise we were to come back after 2 weeks because of the problem with the dog, the NOT pet friendly environment.

Whether you want to relax by the pool, enjoy the beautiful weather on the balcony this is a great location. It had everything that we needed. We walked to 5th Avenue, down to the beach or just swam in the pool. The house keeper was simply amazing and our stay was great!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The condo is in a small complex with a great pool and security. It was never crowded and the neighbours were friendly. It is away from the resort noise and crowds but easy to get to restaurants etc. Right across the street from the beach and you can go for the day using the resort lounges. The only minor complaint is a lack of patio chairs and loungers as many were broken (the condo owner say that they are trying to fix this). Also it would have been good to have some basic spices like salt and pepper and a bit of laundry detergent for guests. The housekeeper is pleasant and does a great job. I would recommend this property and would stay again.

Just returned from staying at this condo the week of New Year’s and had a great time. We’ve visited Playacar several times and this is one of the best condos and location we have stayed at. Oscar was great with communication and answered any questions we had promptly. The condo is very well equipped and clean and was nice to have a housekeeper come a few times during the week. The pool rarely had anyone there so no problem getting lounge chairs. Although it was New Year’s week, we had no problem getting into the Reef Club at 9:00 am and getting beach chairs and umbrellas. We also used the path to the left of the Reef Club to get to the public beach. You do need a Resident card which Oscar provided to show the security guard who will then let you through the locked gate. When leaving the condo heading to the right walking about 10 minutes, you will find a Starbucks, shops and booths to book excursions. Or head to Playa del Carmen the other way. We would not hesitate to book this condo again. Thanks Oscar!

This complex is right across the street from the Reef Beach club. For those who want to hit the beach in Playacar you just can’t get a closer to the beach! A 15 min walk gets you into Playa del Carmen and some excellent restaurants. Taxis are plentiful if you don’t feel like walking. Playacar has lovely wide sidewalks that make walking super pleasant. Unit is well appointed. We especially enjoyed the comfortable beds and loved the luxury bedding. In our experience rough sheets seem to be the norm in Mexico and were thrilled st the lovely soft sheets. There is a fantastic pool in the complex that we found was rarely used. 3 of the 5 days we used the pool we were the only ones using it all day long Overall, another really great stay in PDC

Stayed here in Dec 2016 and had a very pleasant stay. Condo is very nice, close to the beach, everything you may need. Nice and quiet as well. Access to The Reef Resort was a plus. It's right across the street. Be there by 8:50 a.m. to get a wrist band and then enjoy their beach, towels, and pool. The other plus, for us, was the washer dryer. I prefer to stay in a rental for this main reason. There is a new w/d and I did laundry every day. Only 2 minor things that could help out...supply more towels for a family of four. And perhaps a hair dryer. Other than that anything we needed we bought at the local grocery store (MEGA).

First of all Oscar has a great home in Playacar. It is clean and comfortable. We stayed April 1st to 15th 2016 and was everything as advertised. The easy access to the Reef Playacar across the street was awesome (must be there by 9am to ensure entry ). They only allow 20 resident cards a day and 4 people to a card. Lots of grocery stores close by and restaurants for supper if you don't want to cook. The cleaning lady was there 5 times in two weeks and does a fantastic job. We stayed March 22nd to the 29th 2016. The property was just as described, very well kept and clean. We had everything we needed to prepare food. Sam's Club is just minutes away by cab. The condo is close enough to walk to Playa. The public beach access is just a few minutes walk from the condo, and it was less crowded then the beach and the Reef Club, just bring towels or chairs as there are not chairs to sit on at the public beach. The pool was wonderful and well kept. There were never more then four or five other people at the pool at one time so it was very private. The grounds around the condo are also very well kept and clean. The housekeeper was great and did a wonderful job. We had one issue with one of the shower handles not working, but the owner had someone there within an hour and had it fixed. We went to the Reef Club to get beach access for the day and had no problem, but soon found out that if we wanted to leave for any reason we had to "check out" and turn in our bracelets. We were not able to come and go during the day once we had our bracelets. If we wanted to come back it would depend on how many residents were checked in as they only allow 20 resident cards per day. The Reef Club was nice and the beach was comfortable with plenty of seating. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing at home feel who wants to escape the hotel scene.

My family of four stayed at the condo for 7 days in March. The condo was perfect for the four of us. It was spacious and had everything that we needed. Elia came in twice during our stay to clean and maintain the property - she was awesome! The condo pool was great and the overall property was well-maintained. We used the Reef club pass only once, but also spent time on the beach through a public access point nearby. It was only a 15 minute walk to downtown. Overall, a great stay!

I'm not a five star rater but this place is close. I wish I could do 4.5 stars. I just believe that nothing is perfect and everyone has different expectations. Anyway... My husband, two kids (7&9) and I had a super two week vacation here February 28-March 13, 2016. The condo is well stocked and the two king size beds are very comfy! We met other of our family & friends on this trip who also stayed at different condos at Chac Ha. The group of us with all the kids certainly took advantage of the pool! The owners that were in residence during our stay were very welcoming and helpful. Oscars place is on the second floor so there wasn't too many stairs; all his appliances are new and if we had questions on anything, he promptly replied. The housekeeper Elia, even cooked us some Mexican food for supper one day! We rented a car during our stay, which we would do again but you certainly don't have to because the condo is so close to everything. A taxi was always around 90 pesos for the down town area. Access to The Reef resort was a great benefit, just make sure you are there before 9am. If you 'miss' it you can buy an all day inclusive pass or get to the beach on a path a couple blocks away. We loved the Playa Del Carmen area; there is something for everyone and we are definitely coming back to Chac Ha!

We had a great time staying in playacar Feb 15-21 of 2016. The condo had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. The condos location is perfect. It is literally across the street from the beach ( access through the Reef hotel). It is within walking distance to 5th avenue for shopping and restaurants. Plenty of cabs are available if you don't feel like walking. There are grocery stores close to stock up on supplies for your stay. The condo was cleaned during our stay. It is very clean, safe and we definitely would return.

We enjoyed our stay and the condo met all of our needs. The location is great with close proximity to 5th avenue. Access to The Reef was nice since it was right across the street. This make the option to purchase the day pass extremely attractive which we did twice during our stay. The condo itself is very roomy and the balcony was also large. The unit was clean and maid service was provided 3 times while we were there. I strongly recommend that folks using the condo rent a car (at the Cancun airport) for the time that they will be there as the condo provides parking and you can take day trips to either Tulum, Xcaret or other places.
