"Such a lovely hotel , amazing view of the river , was given a upgrade wow it was a 2 bedroom apartment floor to ceiling window in lounge to relax and watch the boats sail by what more could we ask for . The food was all delicious, we had breakfast , lunch and dinner , staff were all very friendly . The hydropool in spa was relaxing everywhere was clean . There were a couple of niggles in the room , the bed was making creaking noises every movement which was a bit annoying so maybe the bedstead...

"We had dinner the first night. My husband enjoyed the steak pie. I had the mushroom burger and have to say that it was not good. The mushroom patty was very overcooked and the dish was tasteless but I did not say anything at the time as it was our anniversary and I did not want to spoil the evening. "So glad to have discovered this place- off the main roads. The whole experience was great- staff were lovely, dogs were made welcome too! Like stepping into an Agatha Christie movie, beautiful furnishings of an era in history. The grounds were well maintained and we loved the Monet Garden - with deer resting near the pond, all very magical.
