"No suelo poner malas criticas de ningun sitio, porque siempte intento sacar lo bueno. Pero, vivimos un momento bastante malo. Una de las noches nos llamo a la puerta el chico aue vigila de noche. Se puso a llorar diciendo que si podiamos darle dinero para su padre enfermo. Le dijimos que no. Al rato volvio y dijo que habia conseguido dinero y que se iba a meterlo en el banco. "This place doesn't even feel real. Raw, untouched, pristine nature. The Chumbe Island team have done a wonderful job with the hotel. It's an incredible experience to go to this place. I was having second thoughts about our booking since the price was out of our usual travel budget. But we decided to give it a go and I'm so happy we did. "We were a bit sceptical about the resort at first due to previous reviews. However it was a great 10 day stay for us. The food was lovely, couldn’t get enough of the prawns. The room with the sea view was amazing. The staff were great, thank you Maria you made our stay very comfortable. If you need some where close to the airport and 5min away from Stone town then I recommend Zanzibar beach resort. "

"The area is terribke, and the hotel looks uncozy. Breakfast is poor, Staff are friendky but the hotel is for locals, a bit rundown. I couldn't wait to get out. Certainly, it looked better in the pics. No elevator. Breakfast on floor 5. At breakfast, tv on with the burial of some person. Not the idesl program to wnjoy breakfast. The linen and towels had seen better days. Not a 3,5 hotel at all. Exoedia shoukd rate better."

"Hi, this is a good place for the cost, is staff who try their best and they are helpfull, but they lacked a bit knowledge for my questions, could be lack of training. i would stay there again for hort time, if i needed in that area. very noce garden and goos breakfast with fresh fruits and such. treating each gues individual of what was wished for breakfast."

"Difficult to find, but once you do find it you'll be pleasantly surprised. Staff are nice and helpful, there's a nice garden-type atmosphere in the common area, and the room was clean and spotless. Breakfast was quite delicious, with a general mix of an omlette, crepes, fruit and/or vegetables; it does change if you stay more than a day. A nice place to stay if you can work remote. No TVs in the rooms for those who care."

"The pier is no longer there, it should nto be the first pciture of the hotel. Overall, people were absolutly lovely with us! Their electricity generator always work (and that is a BIG PLUS in Zanzibar) Rooms are a bit old but according to the pictures. Thank you ! we have a good time in your hotel. We were so happy to have some doggies around, kittens, even a MONKEY ! The hotel has many beautiful spots for pictures! "

"My stay was great. The airline lost our luggage and the front desk staff went above and beyond to help us locate it. We are forever grateful to them. The hotel itself is newer so it’s really clean and the rooms are quite spacious. We only had the breakfast at the hotel and they had a lot of good options. "This is a lovely hotel, very comfortable bed, convenient location in Stone Town. The staff is very nice. However, we will never stay there again as we had major security problems. Items of ours were hidden so the staff could keep them once we left (we found my husband's had, lost my $80 sandals which were not in my suitcase at the next stop.
