Superb holiday home for a relaxing break

We loved our stay at Villa Europa. The location is awesome; it is quiet and peaceful with amazing views and close to beaches and really etc. The house and grounds are lovely and really allow for you to relax and enjoy the beautiful island of Creta. The pool was especially a big hit for our kids.

Hi. We have rented properties all over the Mediterranean and this was probably the best we have stayed at. The layout and facilities are brilliant and the host & housekeeper and fantastic too. We have a brilliant 2 weeks in Crete and completely recharged. Thank you for an awesome holiday

An oasis of calm and beauty

The property is more beautiful than the description, the house and gardens offer a myriad of spaces to gather and enjoy while also offering private spaces for quiet reflection. The pool is perfect and Jakovos, the property manager could not be more helpful. The property is situated on a beautiful hill amidst olives and grapes but is close to beaches, restaurants and shopping. A wonderful spot. Thank you Jakovos and Wolfgang.

Fabulous holiday

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Villa Europa. Great location, with lots of good restaurants and shops nearby. Beaches on the west side are fantastic too. Jakob was extremely helpful, with some great suggestions for beaches, restaurants, and even the local wine festival !!! And the villa is spectacular, everything catered for. The pool, BBQ area and gardens are fabulous. And the cats are hilarious, our kids loved playing with them, especially as they were missing our two and dog back home. We will be back as soon as possible.

Sehr schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage mit tollem Pool

Das Haus ist sehr groß und der Garten riesig. Auch mit 8 Personen kann man das Haus daher sehr gut nutzen. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist super, der Kontakt vor Ort sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es hat an nichts gefehlt, wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit.

TRAUMHAFT und wunschlos glücklich

Ich weiß garnicht wo ich anfangen soll. Es waren 7 wundervolle Tage in der Villa Europa. Ich habe noch NIE ein so super ausgestattetes Ferienhaus gesehen. Wirklich nicht. Es gab einfach ALLES, was man braucht: Mikrowelle, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, TV, super Bluetooth Musikanlage, Pool, Grill, Pizzaofen, Hängematten, &&& Wir haben uns wirklich rundum wohl gefühlt. Auch die Katzen haben wir direkt in unser Herz geschlossen und uns um Bitzy gekümmert, als diese verletzt war - als wäre es unsere eigene. Wir kommen DEFINITIV wieder. DANKE!!!

Another lovely couple of weeks spent at this wonderful Villa. Great peaceful location with plenty of stuff to do nearby. Beautiful villa, stunning garden and lovely pool. Owners and local staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We’ll definitely be back!

Its doesn't get better than this.

Of the many houses we've stayed in throughout Europe this ranks as one of the best for comfort; quality and range of amenities; immediate environment; and location. The upstairs sitting room, with its well-tuned piano and smart TV, and outside areas, being various verandas and garden spaces, are spacious and comfortable. We didn't use the wood fire or barbecue so maybe next time. We both do a lot of cooking and found the kitchen space entirely adequate. It isn't huge, but it doesn't need to be. The pool is large and deep and irresistible on a hot day. The house is situated on a hill and enjoys breathtaking views of the coast and mountains and, with windows on all sides, is light and airy. The local town is a short drive away and has all that you need if you eat in; some great tavernas; and a beautiful sea. It's close enough to Xania to make a trip there, a must, very easy indeed and the three coasts are all within easy reach. We must say a particular "Thank you" to the house manager, Jakovos, who met us late at the airport when our delayed flight landed and did all that he could, willingly, to make sure that everything was ok.

Wonderful villa with amazing gardens and pool area. Lovely quiet location with local amenities within 10 minutes drive. We enjoyed our two week family holiday (7 people in total) in this amazing villa. Everything is well maintained and of high standard. Jacob, the local property manager is extremely helpful and has great knowledge of local areas of interest. Wonderful holiday with many treasured memories.

Wierderholungstäter...

2017 waren wir zum ersten Mal in der Villa Europa (siehe ausführlich Bewertung v. 2017). Für uns war damals schon klar, dass das nicht unser letzter Aufenthalt gewesen ist. 2019 war es dann wieder soweit. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt wieder in vollen Zügen genossen. Alles war, wie schon damals, in einem sehr gepflegeten Zustand! Der große Pool ist herrlich. Man kann hier wirklich sehr gut schwimmen. Problemlos auch mit mehreren gleichzeitig, ohne das man sich dabei in die Quere kommt. Der liebevoll gestaltete Garten steht dem nichts nach. Groß, ebenfalls sehr gepflegt und mit verschiedenen Ruheoasen. Zitronenbäume, Aprikosenbäume, Rosmarin, Thymian, Tomaten, Basilikum soweit das Auge reicht. Von den leckeren frisch gepflückten Aprikosen haben wir diesmal eine Aprikosentarte gemacht. Köstlich!!! Wir hatten vor dem Urlaub extra eine "to do" Liste gemacht, mit Ausflugszielen.... Tja, aber was soll ich sagen...Wie schon 2017 haben wir uns so wohl in der Villa gefühlt, dass wir lediglich nur zwei Ausflüge (Chania, Elafonissi Beach) unternommen haben. Elafonissi lohnt sich auf jeden Fall (ca. 1:15 Minuten von der Villa). Allerdings ist der Strand ab einer gewissen Uhrzeit sehr, sehr voll. Wir sind daher bereits um 7h morgens losgefahren und wurden mit einem fast leeren Strand und kristallklarem Wasser belohnt. Ein Besuch dorthin lohnt sich definitiv. Uns hat es in der Villa wirklich an nichts gefehlt, wir haben dort sehr, sehr gerne unsere Zeit verbracht. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind ca. 5 Minuten entfernt, Lidl ca. 20 Minuten, Ein herzliches Dankeschön an dieser Stelle auch an Ehepaar Brack. Beide sind sehr um das Wohl Ihrer Gäste bemüht und geben vor und während des Urlaubs wertvolle Tipps für Ausflüge. Die Kommunikation war jederzeit völlig unproblematisch und sehr zuverlässig. Wir können die Villa uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Für uns gibt es im näheren Umkreis keine schönere...Ganz liebe Grüße, Familie Seidel

Schitterende vakantiewoning met heerlijk zwembad

We hebben genoten van de luxe en het prachtige uitzicht. Eigenaren zijn zeer servicegericht en reageren heel snel! Zorgden zelfs voor ontbijt voor de eerste ochtend omdat wij ‘s avonds pas aankwamen. We hadden een ondernemende peuter en kwamen tot de conclusie dat dit pand hiervoor minder geschikt was. Maar verder niets dan lof!

Underbart boende. Innemiljön hade allt man kan önska sig och utemiljön mer än man kan önska sig.

Ett underbart hus uppe på höjden. En bit till havet men det löses lätt med hyrbil. Fin pool i en underbar trädgård. Trädgården har fem etage med massor av umgängesytor. Grym grillplats. Vi är jättenöjda!

Villa Europa...Ein Paradies auf Erden

Wir haben 14 Tage in dieser herrlichen Villa mit wunderschönem Garten, traumhafter Poolanlage und grandiosem Weitblick verbracht. Das gesamte Grundstück und die Villa sind sehr gepflegt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung der Villa ist bestens (z.B. Küchenutensilien). Man findet dort alles vor, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub benötigt. Die Grillstation ist überdacht und bietet daher auch in der Mittagssonne einen angenehmen Aufenthaltsplatz. Neben einem gorßen Grill findet man dort auch einen Pizzaofen und einen Wasseranschluss. Das dreckige Geschirr konnte demnach direkt an der Grillstation gespült werden. Es gibt verschiedene Ruheoasen, wo man sich zwischendurch gut mal zurückziehen konnte (Terrassen untere/obere, Poolbereich, Garten). Jeder von uns hat dort schnell sein Lieblingsplätzchen gefunden. Man hat von den Terrassen aus einen wunderschönen Weitblick. Man schaut bis aufs Meer und auf die umliegenden kleinen Dörfer, Berge und Olivenhaine. Der Ausblick ist mit einfachen Worten nicht zu beschreiben! Man muss es selbst erlebt haben! Der Garten ist traumhaft. Es gibt verschiedene Obstbäume, Olivenbäume,einen Kräuter- Gemüsegarten...Wir konnten während unseres Aufehthalts Zuchini, Aprikosen, Erdberren und Pflaumen und Peperoni ernten. Aus den Aprikosen haben wir frischen Aprikosenkuchen gebacken. Herrlich!!! Der Kräuter- Gemüsegarten war sehr gut sortiert: Basilikum, Thymian, Minze, Oregano, Erdberren, Zuchini, Peperoni, Dill u.v.m. Wir haben leider nicht sehr viel unternommen, verbrachten unsere Zeit lieber in der Villa, da wir uns hier so Wohl gefühlt haben. Die Eigentümer, Eheleute Brack, erwiesen sich vor und auch während des Urlaubes als sehr freundlich, kompetent und absolut hilfbereit/serviceorientiert. Wir hatten zu Beginn unseres Aufenthalts Probleme mit der Spülmaschine und dem Herd. Eheleute Brack haben ohne Zögern alles notwendige veranlasst, um Abhilfe zu schaffen. Am nächsten Tag kam bereits der Techniker und reparierte die Spülmaschine, eine neues Ceranfeld wurde umgehend bestellt und gegen das Defekte ausgetauscht. Das ging reibungslos. Beide sind wirklich sehr auf das Wohl der Gäste bedacht. Auch der Ansprechpartner vor Ort, Herr J., war jederzeit hilfsbereit und telefonisch erreichbar. Wir können dieses "Paradies auf Erden" bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen. Für uns steht fest, dass wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen werden!!! Liebe Grüße Familie Seidel

My family (mom, dad, brother, sister in law, grandma, husband, me... all adults) stayed here for two weeks and we loved it. It is on top of a very huge hill with panoramic views of the sea, mountains, spilia, olive trees, and grape vines. The pool is lap-sized and the garden area is divine (with a vegetable garden you can take from). We came for my mom's 60th birthday and she loved it The owner and staff are SO kind ( with Jackovos being very kind and helpful always). We had a problem the first night and after talking to Wolfgang everything was fixed the next day. If we needed something for the house we could just ask the cleaning staff who come twice a week. We were very appreciative. <3 to them! The listing is very accurate, the property is immaculate, and you will have everything you need (even baby stuff). Sometimes we would run out of towels and toilet paper, but I think this has more to do with my family randomly crowding one bathroom and family members stealing everyone's towels and soap than the house not providing enough. It might be good for the staff to add more trash bags, toilet paper, and soap "just-in-case" you have a family member who does that kind of thing. The internet can be slow in some places, but it works fine from the dining table and terrace. The kitchen is on the small side, but you have everything you need to cook (or grill!). We sat on the terrace every night, drank wine, relaxed, and watched the stars. There are two medium fridges and we were able to keep a few nights worth of supplies (and refreshments) handy. Places I would recommend to eat: "Farabi" "the Gorge" restaurant in Deliana, the taberna by the Olive tree, Palio Arhontiko in Kolymbari, Family Restaurnt "Hara" (for an experience!), and anywhere that Wolfgang and family would suggest. You can get good fresh bread at the bakery (go under the national road to the old national road, take the road towards kolymbari (not tavronitis) and there is an outdoor bakery and cafe. They have nice bread, coffee, pastries, and doughnuts. To Do: snorkel at the little Kolymbari community beach (take the road to afrata, pass the little city beach by the monastery, and stop at the tiny roadside parking area), walking the gorge of deliana, Samaria (ask Jackovos to arrange this for you!), and many more things. While there is a lot to do, this house is not cheap so I would suggest you also spend a lot of time relaxing and enjoying the UNBELIEVABLE HOUSE.
