The property is lovely, and the owners very friendly. The place was spotless when we arrived. Plenty of room in the cabin, and 4 beds in the kids' room was great.
What we loved: Beautiful landscape & friendly cattle cattle wandering around outside, awesome location for RENFEST, or to just escape the rat race for a few days. The owners gave us a nice tour of their property and let the kids interact with some of the animals. It was a great experience.
Some things to consider (not in the brochure):
1) Getting there. You will drive on a well kept dirt & gravel road through a pasture for about .2 miles from the road to the cabin. If you have a low clearance sports car it may be tricky in spots. I had no issue in a stock Subaru WRX, but a Corvette would have to think about it.
2) Privacy. There are whispy curtains rather than solid doors at the entrance to the bedrooms, and hang to about 7 inches above the floor. So, very limited. On the plus side, if the kids are fooling around past bed time, Mom & Dad will know. On the down side, if Mom & Dad want to fool around past bedtime, the kids will know... No real privacy except in the bathroom, which has has a solid door.
3) WiFi. There isn't any. This is fantastic if you are getting away to unplug - I was still able to get Verizon 4G, so there is cell data connectivity if you need it.
4) Plumbing. The house rule sheet instructs residents to put toilet paper in the wastebasket instead of the toilet due to the septic system. Be aware if this is a consideration for you.
