Absolutely amazing place and hosts! They made everything super easy and relaxing. The cabin was clean and cozy, and we loved the area. Our hosts provided lots of amenities and even a little welcome gift for us AND our pups. Located near Ouray, Telluride and Silverton - we got a chance to explore and relax all in one trip. We enjoyed our visit so much! Marianne was so hospitable from beginning to end, even leaving us a personalized welcome note. She was extremely helpful in helping us decide how to plan our time there because she is very well-informed about the area. The cabin is adorable and homey, with great little touches in the decorating and theme matching the area. It was a pleasure and I will enjoy going back!

I cannot recommend this BunkHouse enough. It was the perfect little place for us to stay in while visiting Telluride and Ouray. It is very affordable and peaceful compared to staying in town, and hosts Marianne & Larry went out of their way to make us feel so welcomed and relaxed while staying in their Bunkhouse. It was very reassuring knowing that our hosts were so responsive, friendly, and caring about their property and guests. The bunkhouse was stocked with everything we needed to cook a few meals and had a beautiful deck to sit on and enjoy our evening drinks and morning coffee. We will certainly be staying here again if we find ourselves in the area again and will be telling all of our friends and family to stay here as well.

The property is beautiful. The location is remote which is nice but it’s a little farther from Telluride than we thought. Our hosts are very nice the remembrance of our stay was a lovely touch.

We had an amazing time at the Bunkhouse! Cozy fires, breakfast and dinner on the deck overlooking the mountain, warm welcome by the hosts - and that does not really capture the magic of this place!

Our stay

The deck was a nice place to have coffee in the morning or watch the sunset in the evening. The Bunkhouse is in a quiet location but an easy drive to Telluride and area hiking. The hosts were the best!

The absolute best and most beautiful place to stay. It was clean, cozy and perfect for a mountain retreat weekend. The hosts are so kind and friendly that I will book here for every trip in Telluride. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

A little slice of Heaven

My wife and I stayed at the Bunkhouse this weekend during a trip for our 6th anniversary. This cabin is nothing short of beautiful. Marianne and Larry were the nicest hosts and definitely put in the extra effort to make the stay comfortable and special. The cabin was super clean and has an awesome view off the back patio. Will definitely stay at the place again in the future.

Beautiful Cabin in the Woods

It's lovely and secluded. Plenty of room. A deck out back for watching the stars at night. Sweet host and hostess. A great jump-off point for hikes in the stunning San Juans.

Quiet cabin

Cabin was clean and in really good condition. The owners were very friendly and had everything setup and ready. They were personable with what was set out. It was somewhere we would definitely stay again.

The Most Wonderful VRBO We Have Ever Stayed At . . .

This VRBO is awesome!! The best VRBO we have ever stayed at (and we stay at quite a few). If we could give it 100 stars, we would. Close to Telluride, Ridgeway and Ouray, but in the mountains away from all of the congestion. The bunkhouse is beautiful and comes with everything needed (the bed is super comfy). We sat on the back deck and enjoyed watching the deer, wildlife and night stars, and hiked the property. Hosts Marianne and Larry are wonderful and made sure we had everything needed for a perfect trip. Thank you so much Marianne and Larry for a wonderful stay :) We hope to be back soon!

Great place

We stayed in The Bunkhouse in Piney Woods for 4 nights. Larry and Marianne are exemplary hosts and are very kind and welcoming. The Bunkhouse is cozy and comfortable and has a beautiful view. We would love to stay again.
