¡Un paraiso!
¡Un paraíso! Viajamos desde ciudad de Guatemala por tierra hasta Placencia, el viaje fue muy bonito, Belize tiene excelentes carreteras. Llegamos al hotel usando Waze sin ningún problema. El hotel es precioso, tiene la peculiaridad como de que tiene ubicaciones tanto del lado del océano atlántico como de la laguna, o sea que para los amantes de los amaneceres y atardeceres, tienes los dos! El amanecer en el Atlántico y el atardecer en la laguna. El hotel tiene una hermosa playa, con Kayaks gratuitos, una hermosa piscina, nuestros hijos disfrutaron tanto la playa como la piscina. A una distancia corta hay un supermercado para poder comprar los comestibles si desean usar la cocina de la habitación, lo cual nosotros hicimos y nos fue muy bien. El restaurant del hotel es excelente. Tienen un servicio de shuttle gratuito al pueblo de Plascencia, el cual no tiene mucho que ver en mi opinión. Seguramente volveremos un lugar maravilloso.

Estancia agradable con una vista espectacular.
Las instalaciones, servicios, limpieza, paisaje perfecto. Pueden estar mejor si invirtieran en capacitar al personal, el personal tiene interes, tiene voluntad, tiene la actitud sin embargo hace falta profesionalizarse en servicio al turista, brindarle mas calor humano al servicio le daria un plus y los elevaria a un nivel mucho mas alto.

Lugar muy tranquilo, estas a 20 minutos del centro, los departamentos son muy grandes, la cocina tambien. especial para descansar, no esperes el mar cristalino del caribe ya que cuando hay viento levanta mucha arena y se pone turbio, a la mañana es un placer. La comida del hotel no me parecio tan buena con relacion al precio, pero el lugar para cenar es hermoso. La atencion es muy buena siempre.

Very friendly staff and super attentive. Unit could use more kitchen items and the bathrooms need a major overhaul. Pool needed maintenance, as well. Amazing, clean beach and staff were constantly working to keep it clean. Housekeeping did not come until dinner, but when asked for extra pillows, someone came right away. Laguna was great food and service. Pizza place was yummy, but expensive. Our family of 5 had a wonderful time.

The property was clean and very quiet with easy access to the beach even if your room was on the lagoon side. All of the staff were kind and helpful as well. This was exactly what we needed to disconnect from our busy schedules.

Please note that Don Tonito's Pizzeria is open daily from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Restaurante Laguna serves breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., lunch from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., lunch snacks from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. We hope this information is helpful and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

My Family of three enjoyed a beach front two bedroom penthouse. It was very spacious with a great view of the beach. We enjoyed our balcony where we played card games. The site had nice bars and restaurants. Beautiful pool and jacuzzi. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very relaxing.

Terrible! Terrible service. Do not have any events here, spare yourself the headache and stress. I ordered 4 course meal. Did not get the vegetables nor deserts with no explanation. Over 35 guests booked and stayed at Umaya. I didn’t even get a free coffee. The staff knew that I was celebrating my 60th and took business to them both in room, restaurant and alcohol sales. Umaya charges all rates and events in US dollars but the service doesn’t match the prices. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Loved the design and landscape of the property. Room was very spacious and you can go to either lagoon or beach side. Restaurant onsite was wonderful. Beach and the dock were very nice and staff were friendly.

Rooms were spacious with 2 bedrooms and two baths. Wifi was very intermittent. No pool on lagoon side and no beach. Had to walk across street for pool and beach. Restaurant was expensive but good food. Everything was in American dollars which was confusing at times because the rest of the island is in belizian dollars. Overall good but not excellent. Would probably stay again but on the ocean side.

This resort is a nice resort but could use some updating. Sink had major rust under the glass top, fuzzy growing stuff on some sealant to The wood sink base and things just looked tired. The staff were nice and helpful despite a rough start of them not being responsive. The food was good. Bring your bug spray as mosquito and sand fleas are out in the mornings and after dark.
