Slice of heaven! The Tiki Toucan is AMAZING! The beach is right across from it and if you’re laying at the pool you’re looking at the ocean… it’s GORGEOUS honestly. There is a pier in front where we had coffee every morning. My husband and I stayed here for a week after spending four days in San Ignacio climbing the ruins and floating the caves. We took the puddle jumper since we returned our car at the airport but we rented a golf cart for the week to get to town. This is located about 10 minutes north in a golf cart and worth it 100% as we didn’t want to be right in town. The golf cart can literally take you all the way up to Maya Beach it’s a beautiful drive. The owner, Judith lives above and is the kindest lady. We barely saw her but when we did she was so kind and accommodating and has lots of recommendations for eating, etc. The place is spotless and so cute and we were so happy there and it’s literally a gem! We will be back!

Perfect location to enjoy all of Placencia.

The Tiki Toucan was a great place to relax away from the village, yet close enough to engage in activities within just a few minutes drive. The suite was thoughtfully designed and equipped with necessities and luxuries. The pool, complete with a view of the sea, was beautiful as were the grounds and outdoor sitting areas. I will definitely return!

Quiet and cozy

We loved our stay! It was quiet, peaceful, adorable, spotless and with everything you need to be comfortable. The pool was fun with a beautiful view of the sea. Exactly as listed. The managing company was very responsive and the owners were kind and respectful of our privacy. Thanks for a relaxing weekend away.

A slice of Heaven

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here for eight nights. The photos really don't do justice to this incredible property. The king sized bed is super comfortable and the suite is decorated so lovely. The outside seating area was wonderful and we spent a lot of time there. The owners are very kind and keep to themselves. We cannot wait to come back!! 10 out of 10.

Private beach

This place was well appointed and directly next to a awesome English pub. I rented a golf cart that had all wheel drive and went all over the place. The beach right outside of the front door is as good as any you'll find around Any other island. Unfortunately you're in Placencia and their spectacular beaches up and down. This is a very wonderful location and convenient. You need a golf cart to get around so pick a spot with a bar next-door. And it felt like being in a US sports bar. The house has a beautiful pool, And swinging chairs where I hung out when the wind was blowing. Around the corner was a fire pit for cool nights. Worth it Very beautiful very Private.

A Perfect & Peaceful Sanctuary

A stunning & thoughtfully designed space in a lush & gorgeous setting! While it’s obvious in the photos just how beautiful the Tiki Toucan is (even more so IRL), it also provided an extremely comfortable sanctuary from May’s heat & humidity. The picture-perfect beach was a three-minute walk away, but I preferred the Tiki Toucan’s private swimming pool and used it every day. It provided a much- appreciated reprieve after a long hot day of activities. The unit’s quiet AC and ceiling fan kept the room cool day & night, allowing me to sleep very comfortably and peacefully. Excellent internet speed throughout the property- my favorite part of the day was listening to the birds while I ate breakfast & used my laptop in the covered patio by the pool. The Tiki Toucan was ideally located near the air-strip (a 5-minute drive) and the restaurants in “downtown” Placencia (less than a 15 minute drive). I highly recommend the Tiki Toucan and would definitely return for a future stay.

Private, relaxing, get a way destination

This is a very relaxing and private place to stay. The property is as described in the listing and photos. We didn’t use the pool while we were there. We did thoroughly enjoy the pool deck, drinking coffee, watching the birds, ocean, and visiting. It’s an amazing view from the pool deck to enjoy throughout the day and evening. The room is comfortable and the layout works well. My husband and I went there for an anniversary trip and found it to check all the boxes. The bed is firm and comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and well organized. The micro-kitchen is just right for the space. It’s close enough to town to grab food and explore, It’s very close to the airport, and next to the Flying Pig. This was our first time to Placencia and found it to be very relaxed and the people genuine. But it does have more vehicular traffic than I was expecting. We had been to San Pedro before and primarily golf carts were used for getting around.In Placencia, it’s about a 50-50 split between golf carts and vehicles. It’s very easy to get around and we enjoyed exploring while we were there. A few recommendations would be to: The food at the Flying Pig is good & convenient.Omar’s seafood definitely has that local flavor you should experience! Amazing food and relaxing setting.The Chillpoint has wonderful coffee! Probably the best I’ve had anywhere in the world.Seahorse Dive was great for diving and also offers snorkeling tours. Highly recommend and would stay here again.
