Accommodation was very nice, especially the pool. We did have a lot of cockroaches and frogs at night. That needs to be taken care of before I would stay there again.

Very nice property, roomy and comfortable with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The architecture is unique and admirable. There is a nice restaurant at a nearby resort and a store you could bike to with their provided beach cruisers; the rest of the sights and destinations in Placencia are on the very far end so you will want to rent a vehicle of some type during your stay here. The manager arranged to have a golf cart dropped off for our use and that worked out just fine; they were also very helpful and available with planning tours and other activities in the area.There are some maintenance issues which seem to be known by the management but they are not resolving. A bathroom sink in one room did not work and there are a lot of cracks and things that cockroaches and geckos found there way through. The entire property was listed for sale at the time we were there.

Joyful relaxation

We did three rentals in Belize, and this was the best. Lovely and unique design. Gaudi-like. Good staff. Good text communication. Lovely pool. Relaxed setting away from the road and near the water. Top comment I can make… I would book it again. Miriam is good manager - friendly and helpful

Property is managed by 3rd party that communicates via WhatsApp. No direct line of comms between 3rd party and host. No concession for natural disasters. Wasted close to 4,000 on a trip we were warned off by 3rd party. Uninstalling app

Such a Unique Property

Wonderfully located a close distance to the main town of Placencia. This property was super unique and tucked back far enough you felt like you were super secluded. The accommodations were great and the staff attended to any issue that arose. Make sure to take the hummingbird highway down if you drive from the city. Also, don't forget to stop for tamales at Mrs. Betha's at mile-marker 26 on your way down. A couple of quick notes, you are in a tropical location, so we did have some little ants and other animals make it into the home, but nothing serious unless you hate geckos in the shower! The property is also on the lagoon side, so we were told to stay out of the water there although kayaks were provided as there are crocodiles that tend to live in that water. Super quiet, great pool, close to any needed amenities, and an all-around fantastic time. Highly recommended!

Great stay

This was a great stay for there were not very many people around, had pool and kayaks to ourselves. Felt safe knowing had security all night, great restaurant closeby. Building very unique and lots of fun.

Several hundreds of dollars was taken on the first day from this house from my purse that was in a bedroom. There are 5 doors that will go outside and the bedroom door was unlocked when we checked in (we did not know this). The safe was also strangely not working. Unfortunately, the staff is not to be trusted. The man that sprayed for bugs outside was seen by myself and my daughter checking doors to see if they were unlocked. The property is beautiful but that does not make up for the safety issue.

Wonderful Vacation and Fantastic Support Staff!

I had a wonderful stay with my daughters at Lionfish. The home and the property is everything I hoped it would be. We enjoyed the pool, the view and the jacuzzi. It was great to have a golf cart to visit nearby resorts, restaurants and Placencia Village. The grocery store was nearby and we made lots of trips for supplies to enjoy home cooked meals. Our concierge Veronique and local manager David were great. They were both very responsive and made sure we had everything we need. We were eaten alive by spiders so bring your bug spray! Otherwise, everything was fabulous!

The Lion Fish unit @ Swan Villas is very unique and the pool is great.

We enjoyed our stay at Swan Villas. Swan Villas is relatively close to dining opportunities and on the lagoon side of the peninsula. It is a short walk to the sea side of the peninsula and about a 7 mile drive to the Village of Placencia. We found the architecture of the unit to be very unique and a fun place to stay. The pool is very relaxing overlooking the water of the lagoon and just a few feet from your patio door.

Ideal waterfront accommodation

We had the two-bedroom ground floor unit of this unique waterfront house and couldn't have been more pleased. The Gaudi-inspired architectural design and the perfectly-appointed interior were so special The infinity salt-water pool make this feel more like a resort except with lots o privacy. The Manager met us to get us settled and to shared interesting places and things so the service was great. We loved it.

Swan Villa, Placentia: Belize

Signed up for this on an impulse when I saw the photos. Looked very interesting. Met by the property manager on arrival. She was wonderful, pleasant, helpful and then gone until we needed her. Spectacular setting. If you're a self serve sort of person you'll love this place. If you're looking for an all inclusive go elsewhere. Architecture was wonderful, not a corner in sight. Every bit as good or better than the photos, which is often not the case. Clean, well looked after, everything you could want. Even a washer dryer, which after a day of diving was a real treat. A bit of a drive from Placentia Village, perhaps 20 minutes or so. Probably should have a car. People staying at resorts nearby seemed to rely on taxi's which might be an inconvenience. Only issues that kept this place from being perfect: 1. HomeAway customer support was useless, 3 attempts to resolve a simple issue prior to leaving for Belize and they passed the buck. Try to avoid having anything to do with HomeAway, or at least have very low expectations of them. 2. No hot water on the day we left which was inconvenient and was being resolved as we left. Diving nearby was good (but the reef is suffering), lots of operators to chose from. A good variety of local places to eat and shops to visit. Friendly locals. Give Swan Villas a try, you won't be disappointed!

WOW!

The whole experience from booking to checking out was flawless - easy, great communication. The house is amazing and is exactly what you see in the pictures. The property and surrounding area is stunning, truly a highlight of our 2+ week trip to Belize where we stayed across the country in a variety of accommodation - we didn't want to leave!
