The home was great - just as pictured and described. Very clean. Our host was outstanding with great recommendations and advice, including arranging a van to pick up our group at the airport and deliver us back at the end of the trip. We rented a mid-sized SUV that was delivered to the house and picked up there afterward. Recommend that vs. golf cart at this location.

First and foremost our host was amazing! He had great communication and was genuinely concerned about our arrival and making sure we arrived safely. Our house was perfect! Almost halfway between Hopkins and Placencia it had lots options for things to do. We had the best sleep we’ve had in weeks in the upstairs suite. The bed was so comfortable. Thank you for the stay!

Herbert provided lots of helpful guidance as we planned our trip, from recommendations on tour services, grocery stores and restaurants along our drive from the international airport to Our Special Harbor. The house was as promised, clean, well stocked enough for the private chef we hired to prepare a wonderful meal and check in and check out were easy. We loved our stay and the two very friendly pups who visited us daily.

Our family had a lovely time at this property. It was perfectly relaxing and it had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves! The property manger was very responsive to us and we had a wonderful family vacation. We would highly recommend the Mayan beach bistro as the go to nearby restaurant. It was our favorite!!

Bright Belizean Vaca

We had a wonderful time despite the rainy weather. We enjoyed the pool and kayaking daily. We took a fantastic fishing/ snorkeling day trip with Patrick Tours out of Hopkins. The house was well appointed and the host was very responsive and thoughtful.

Private space for all

We each had our own bedroom & bath for privacy. The house was clean & well supplied with everything we needed. I was pleasantly surprised to see tv's in both lower bedrooms since it was not mentioned in the description.A bit sad not to have a hammock to nap in but we kept busy. AC works well & beds were comfy. Highly recommend! Thanks Herbert!

Heaven on the beach!

We absolutely loved everything about this property! The house was SUPER comfortable and cozy with the most spectacular views of the sunrise and beautiful ocean. Herbert was very helpful and communicative, and we had everything we needed to enjoy our time at his home. He has books and games to use, bath and pool towels, kitchen essentials and some extras - like 5 gallons of drinking water per floor and coffee. The kids loved the pool...it was very clean, and floats were provided. We didn't get to take out the kayaks...the water was too rough. I think going on the lagoon side might have been an option, but we ran out of time. We went snorkeling and sailing from Placencia, and we had such an amazing time! Eating out, we loved Maya Bistro, especially for breakfast, Green Parrot (the best key lime drink ever), and Laguna. There are so many delicious options for food though. Thank you for a wonderful trip, Herbert!

Fabulous Vacation

We had a fun, exciting time with friends, great weather and the locals are so amazing! Made lots of friends and tons of laughs. Experienced some amazing tours and food! So nice to have a place comfortable for 7 Adults in their 60’s to come home to after a long day!

Nice place

Beautiful view, nice bed, stocked kitchen, and plenty of sun! Went diving, snorkeling etc. Hung out at the house most days laying in the sun. The neighborhood dogs are fine and not an issue. Fun place to visit.

Beautiful home with private beach

My family and i stayed here for 4 days and loved the location and the privacy of the beach. The house is super clean and top pf the line amenities. The ONLY thing we had triuble with was the internet but that seemed to be the problem everywhere it isvery very sloe. We would stay here again for sure!

Family get away

This property was amazing! We were looking for a quiet place where we could relax with our adult children and this was the perfect home for us. Honestly, the house is what made our trip so great, mostly because of the porch. It rained quite a bit and the sun barely came out for our 8 night stay and yet we still considered the vacation a huge success. We canceled some of our planned excursions because of the foul weather and just relaxed together. We highly recommend this property!

Perfect Beach Paradise!

We absolutely loved our stay and the house was set up to allow each group their privacy while still staying connected. The beach is beautiful, the pictures of the house are accurate. We would book here again. The only downside (which can't be helped) is the ability to walk on the beach for a bit unless you hop in the water on occasion. I love to take a mile or two stroll first thing in the morning and was not able to do so. The property managers were very available to us and did everything possible to make the stay very pleasant.

A great peaceful location and accommodating host

We loved staying in this home along the nothern part of Placencia Rd away from the cities and crowds with direct access to the sea. Herbert was a fabulous host who was very positive and responsive to all of our inquiries. The home was well-equipped and our 2 young adult children loved having their own floor with their own bedrooms and bathrooms with a kitchen! The construction next door was loud at times, but not the fault of our host. It looks like they were almost finished. A few men approached us at our private pool and front door to sell things, but were polite when we asked them to leave. We loved having our own pool at the house and the kayaks provided were also very fun to use. We highly recommend this property for a relaxing stay in a convenient location to explore both Placencia and mainland sites.

Perfect multi-generational home

Our family truly enjoyed staying at this beautiful home that provided the space we needed to celebrate my husband’s 80th birthday. The home had everything we needed to spend time together and make delicious meals. The kids lived in the pool and having 2 kitchens really made this house exceptional. Home was very clean and welcoming. I highly recommend this home and working with the host was amazing. he was so helpful with all of our questions.

Family vacation

Excellent, we really enjoyed the home, location for us was perfect. Beds are comfortable, plenty of air conditioning, and you will need that. Private pool is what we were looking for, and we loved it.

Absolutely perfect

This place could not have been more perfect for my family. The set up is such that it's like have three apartments. My husband and I had the top floor and my two adult sons and their significant others had the two room on the main level. It's so nice for everyone to have their own space and bathroom. Herbert was very responsive and helpful. I'm not saying this as a negative, but just for informational purposes, our wifi wasn't great with T-mobile, but someone else in our party has At&T and it worked better for her. The place is great, the beds are super comfy and the pool was larger than we expected it to be! Hope we can return.

Great place!!

The house was beautiful and well appointed. The house is as described in the listing. The beach was beautiful and we enjoyed the pool. We had daily visits from the neighbors very sweet and dogs. My girls LOVED that! We ate a Maya Bistro a couple times and it was delicious (just down the street). Check-in and out was easy! We loved our trip to Belize!

Relaxing location

Perfect home to have the best of both worlds — relaxation with proximity to adventure! Pool is refreshing, and kayaks were an added bonus. Palapa shown in the pics was disassembled, which would have been great for shade on the beach. Clean home with great AC. Herbert is very helpful and provided great suggestions for restaurants, groceries and tour guides. Very responsive!! Great place to provide quality family time!

It was amazing

We traveled to Placencia with our 2 children (11 & 10) and my in-laws (70s). The house was a great set up with 2 bedrooms and a kitchenette on the main floor which walked out to the pool on the beach! The upstairs has another bedroom with kitchen and living space. The house was very clean and communication was excellent. The house is about 20-25 minutes from Placencia. We actually did not spend much time in Placencia but rather enjoyed the nearby chocolate tour, an amazing day of fishing and snorkeling, and enjoying the house. Maya Bistro is about 10 minutes drive and has good food with very friendly staff. Leo’s car rental was very accommodating and Captain Jak’s set us up with a great experience at Mojo Caye which was amazingly beautiful.

Perfect Private getaway!

We loved staying in this house on the beach. If you are looking for a relaxing and private get away than this is it! The house had comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen and the beach and pool were perfect for spending time reading and kayaking. Herbert was an excellent host as well:) Some tips: It is about 25 min from Placencia so you will need to rent a car. We used Leo’s Car Rental and they were great. It’s about 10 min from Maya Beach and we loved to eat at Maya Beach Bistro. We took the car North 30min to visit a chocolate farm and hike to waterfalls in the Mayflower Bokawina Park. You can also visit Cockscomb national park that is only 20 min away! For tours, book with Truly Wild Belize. You won’t regret it! Stock up at Publix in Seine Bight for food. Enjoy!
