Christmas 2025 Family Reunion

From the first contact to the final wave goodbye, the staff at Gecko Vacation Rentals was knowledgeable, professional, welcoming and accommodating. Mission Bay Villa was beautiful and the location was perfect! Erica, Jorge, Yeymy and Salvador all helped make our family reunion a huge success. You can't go wrong with the Gecko Vacation Rentals crew!

Better than we could have imagined!!

We had an absolutely amazing time in Belize!! The Mission Bay property was better than we could have imagined. The staff were amazing. Everything was clean and well taken care of. It was truly an amazing tropical vacation and it was better than we could have imagined!!

Wonderful Villa

We rented the villa for a family reunion. Three generations with three children 4,8 and 12. The Villa was perfect for a large group. Plenty of space for everyone to have privacy and plenty of space to be together. The house and grounds are perfectly maintained. The staff is exceedingly attentive and helpful. We all enjoyed the lovely meals prepared by the chef. The paddle boards and kayaks allowed us to view the manatees off the dock. Would happily rent from Gecko again

Wonderful Experience!

We had an amazing experience at this beautiful and well-maintained rental property. From the moment we arrived, the staff on the premises were incredibly attentive and always available to answer any questions we had. A special thank you to Erica, who was exceptionally responsive throughout the entire planning process and continued to be helpful during our stay. The property itself is stunning—clean, comfortable, and clearly cared for with great attention to detail. We felt relaxed and well taken care of throughout our visit. We strongly recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to Placencia and are already looking forward to our next stay!

Unforgettable ❤️

We had a group of 11 and this house was perfect. It was great to have some privacy but also be able to all hang out together at the pool or at dinner or at the beach. Loved that you can walk right out onto the beach and pier. So many fun things to do at the house like volleyball, paddle boarding and fishing. We also went scuba diving at Seahorse, went on the Monkey River Village tour and the catamaran sunset cruise. All of which were incredible! We loved all of it. Chef Salvador, housekeeper Yeymy and maintenance guy Jorge were all absolutely awesome! They took care of everything with a smile! Just a wonderful experience all together. So thankful we stayed here. Our trip was truly unforgettable!

Great Place!

We enjoyed our time at Mission Bay chef. Anthony was awesome and we had the best meals on the days he cooked for us. Beautiful sunrise. We were a group of 8 adults and the house was perfect for us.

Perfect family vacation

This was a perfect vacation spot for our family-9 adults and one infant. From booking and communicating info on tours, to housekeeping, to the chef. Relaxing, safe, beautiful! We're all ready to go back.

This place is wonderful for a Group, lots of individual, yet private space, views, location was wonderful, The Chef( we weren't sure on this as have never had)-Wonderful experience, food, and a true Help in meals, House was clean and as advertised-, The Caretake Jorge & Housekeeper Yesyme-- PRICELESS-- They were kind, informative, helpful beyond.. Belizean Vacay

Mission Bay Villa was Awesome. Namir was the best hostess and housekeeper. Chef Anthony's food was amazing. Olvin the caretaker keeps the grounds in immaculate condition. We loved the pier and spent a lot of time there and in the pool. It was a fantastic trip.

Love the property care takers!

Yayme and Jorge were wonderful. I don't think I've had better. They were friendly and took great care of us. I had some communication problem with our concierge, Erica. Mission Villa is in a perfect location. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Fun at Mission Bay

11 of us stayed and visited Belize as a big family vacation. The staff (Anthony, Namir, Olvin and Maverick) were super friendly and accommodating. There were plenty of things to do at the house which we took part in like paddle boarding, kayaking and just sitting on the dock. It was great.

Mission Bay Villa, Placencia, Belize

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The staff could not have done better or more! They took extremely good care of me and my family of 11. Should have had Anthony (the chef) cook for us all week - best food ever! None of us wanted to leave and are already thinking about returning! HIGHLY recommend staying at Mission Bay and visiting Placencia! People are so nice and it’s beautiful there!

What a wonderful expererience

I can't say enough about the wonderful week we had at Mission Bay. The accommodations were perfect for us and the staff could not have done a better job of creating the experience we had. Everything was excellent, they were friendly, professional, responsive and helpful in answering all our questions and with their suggestions for things we could do. All of the add-ons, from the drummers to the painters and the massages and the photographer were well worth it so I greatly appreciated their thoughts on those things. And the food--oh my. Our chef prepared fantastic meals and was very accommodative with our special requests. If your family is looking for a place to spend a nice relaxing and fun week with wonderful people in a beautiful environment this place is perfect for you.

Fantastic

We stayed at Mission Bay for a week vacation. Words can’t express the hospitality we received from Jorge & Jeyme. They were fabulous!!! They answered questions & helped us with what we needed during our stay. Very kind, fun, & honest people. Orlando was our chef- great guy that makes delicious food!! The house was great! Plenty of room for 6 couples. The outside living area was perfect. Was nice to have the option of a pool, even tho the ocean was steps away. Had a fire on the beach. Coffee in the morning on the pier. Excellent stay!!!
