We had a fabulous stay at Ophelia‘s Villa. The house is gorgeous and worked great for our group. The pool and view were especially enjoyed by all. Also, the location was great and worked really well for our group whether we were heading out for adventure or heading down to Placencia for dinner or boating. We would definitely stay in the same location and same house in the future. A big thanks to Ida for the delicious dinner and birthday cake she served our family one evening. Thank you so much for a fabulous vacation!

Our family loved our stay at Ophelia's Villa. The property is top notch and helped to create a beautiful, relaxing vacation. We loved the pool and games, Ida cooked us a fantastic Belizian dinner, and the owner was easy to communicate with and made a number of helpful recommendations. We had all the perks of a resort stay in a comfortable home setting.

We had a wonderful stay at Ophelia's Villa. It has a beautiful view, amazing sunsets, great wi-fi, lovely pool that was the perfect temperature, comfortable beds, and air conditioning that kept us all comfortable. Our favorite spot was the shaded porch area overlooking the pool. The owner keeps this home in excellent condition and the management team provides clear and timely information. When we didn't want to cook we simply walked across the street to a great restaurant at Azure del Mar or drove a short distance to Naia. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The owners of this property go to great lengths to communicate- very atypical in VRBO rentals. WHen I was on the plane, I even got a message wishing me a safe trip to the house. The owners created an excellent virtual guidebook that explains everything about the house, and gave excellent directions. It even recommended local restaurants, beaches etc. I referred to it many times. Even with all the information, I still had questions, and Heather was always quick to reply on our pre-arranged What's App group (and the information was in the guide but I missed it!)

Can I give this more stars than just 5? Cuz I would!! House is incredible. Has allllll the things. Bikes. Kayaks with life jackets. Robes so you feel fancy schmancy. Very comfy bedding. A shelf of kid books, toys and games. A library of local guides - recipes, birds, fish etc. loved loved loved this house. And the hosts are just as amazing too! The place we were supposed to stay before Ophelia’s Villa cancelled on us last minute, host sent me a ton of other places to reach out to (because Ophelia’s was already booked before our check in date). Just go ahead and click book. You’ll love it.

What a beautiful stay! The host truly thought of everything all kinds of thoughtful little details that made our visit special. We arrived to a lovely welcome basket, the space was spotless, and the robes and toiletries were such a nice touch. There were great activities available, and overall it made for a fantastic vacation experience. Great communication from beginning to end!Highly recommend Ophelia’s Villa and we would happily stay again!

My friends and I (4 middle aged women) took a Birthday Trip to Belize (first time) and we loved Ophelia's Villa. So many good things to say, but here are the standouts:- Beautiful space with the comforts of home (well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, lots of spaces for playing games/relaxing/gathering) and vacation (great pool, outdoor areas, ample towels, kayaks & bikes)- Luti (the caretaker) and Ida (the cook/cleaner) were both wonderful. Ms Ida cooked us a meal and it was delicious!- Quiet neighborhood. Tips for other stuff:- The card/discount provided for Inky's was helpful and they will come pick you up!- The beach at Azure del Mar (just a bit north) is accessible and they even let us borrow their kayaks!- The bakery nearby (Bake Me Up) was yummy - their bread was excellent. - The store nearby had slim pickings, but we were able to supplement the groceries that Ophelia's provided (we paid for the welcome groceries).

Beautiful house and was exactly as described and pictured. We really enjoyed all of the recommendations made by Heather as we utilized a photographer and two of the excursions, all of which were fantastic. We did go during off season so many of the extras were closed but Heather went out her way to find alternatives.

A lot of care has clearly been taken to make this property as good as it could possibly be. It is genuinely like staying in a property that the owners use themselves (which I believe they do). We loved it. Home from home. Fabulous view. No awful seaweed (including no smell). Everything is fresh and new. Lovely airy high ceilings throughout. Air-con works as it should and ceiling fans as well. Games around pool, kayaks, lots of big comfy outdoor furniture, pool towels, bikes, floatation vests etc. They’re even kind enough to allow use of fishing gear. Also, having stayed at 4 other places on our trip around Belize, we thought the pricing was excellent for the quality. Does need a hire car as not in the thick of it. Communications were great too. Would not hesitate in recommending this place.

Ophelia’s Villa was AMAZING! The house is absolutely beautiful. My kids especially loved the bunk beds and pool. We all enjoyed the outdoor games and luxurious space. The landscaping and hummingbirds were wonderful to take in.You will need a car or golf cart to get to placencia village. We only went to the village 2 days because we found plenty to do around Maya Beach. There is a convenience store within biking distance to the house with all of the essentials. We really loved the food at Maya Beach Bistro and the pool at Ceiba Resort. Luti, the groundskeeper was so nice and helpful, along with the pool guy. It was a magical trip. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Our time at Ophelia’s Villa was absolutely amazing. From the onset, Luti and Ms Ida were wonderful and attentive. Heather is an excellent host who responds quickly and offers so much help! We booked all our excursions through Capt Jaks who took awesome care of us! Definitely recommend Pablo!!!You couldn’t ask for more out of a vacation home. The house has everything and I was so pleased to find out it looks just like the pictures!!! The views of the mountains over the lagoon are breathtaking. The villa is pretty centrally located and an easy golf cart ride to anywhere around Placencia. Also, a huge bonus was being on the lagoon side we didn’t have any of the seaweed!!!!I would highly recommend Ophelia’s Villa to anyone I know going to Belize!

Family vacation

We had a great stay! House was very clean. Excellent communication with Heather and Luti. We stayed on the ocean side for the first half of our stay, and it was nice to stay on the Lagoon side the second half and enjoy the Mountain views. Very quiet with no road noise. Lots of fun touches that families would enjoy, pool, kayaks, bikes, big Jenga…We biked to the bakery close by for great cinnamon rolls and blueberry muffins. Took a 3 hour ATV ride through the jungle that my kids ages 14-25 thoroughly enjoyed. Enjoyed a day sail to MoHo for snorkeling with Blue Water Sailing, and they were a great crew which provided a great day. Many great new memories, thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

Amazing

This home was absolutely amazing. The location was perfect. The pool was very refreshing. All the beds were very comfortable. I don't have one bad thing to say about our stay. We hired Ida to cook a breakfast and dinner for us and it was wonderful. We cooked alot of our meals at the house and all the basic cooking needs were provided.

Beautiful Villa!

We had a wonderful experience staying at Ophelia's Villa! The villa had everything we needed. We enjoyed the pool, games, and kayaks. The sunsets were incredible.Luti was great about answering questions and keeping the grounds in great shape. Ida made us a wonderful breakfast! Family Spring Break 2025

Ophilia's Villa is everything as advertised AND MORE. Heather and her team have gone above and beyond to attend to every detail to make your vacation a DREAM vacation. The home is perfectly laid out for a family of 4 to 8 and has spectacular views. The advice we received booking our excursions took the guessing game out of it and were AMAZING adventures. This is the only true 5 Star VRBO we have ever stayed at. Modern appliances, comfy beds, clean outdoor furniture, great water pressure and temp, spacious kitchen and comfortable back deck all make Ophelia's an amazing base for Belize's natural wonder. THANKS AGAIN to the entire team.

Exactly as Advertised!

We had a wonderful time at Ophelia's Villa. This was our very first trip to Belize and it did not disappoint. Heather, Kevin and our Ophelia's Villa hosts were extremely responsive and very helpful whenever we needed recommendations - they are excellent hosts. We had two families staying together, with 9 of us in total - 4 adults, 4 teenagers and one 9-year-old. There was something for everyone. They have done a great job with the games area at the ground floor, to provide plenty of poolside entertainment options. Inside the villa, they were also well stocked with all we would expect and more - even having books to read and games to play. Placencia and Maya Beach are wonderful locations to spend time bonding as a family, with some great activities nearby. We did a guided fishing tour of the outer reef with Fin Obsession (thanks to Ophelia's for the recommendation), a snorkeling tour with Captain Jak's to Silk Caye and Moho Caye, and spent time using our complimentary access to the beautiful Placencia Beach Club that comes with the stay at Ophelia's. Before arriving at the Villa, we also took some time to enjoy the San Ignacio area exploring Mayan ruins and doing the ATM cave excursion with MayaWalk, There really is an incredibly diverse list of things to enjoy in this beautiful country. We hope to return someday! A big thanks again to the Chance family for being such welcoming hosts - you really have created a beautiful place to enjoy!

Villa perfectly located

We had a great time in spite of very rainy weather.The house was comfortable and filled all our needs when we couldn't be outside.Owner and staff were all great.Location was great. Near many good restaurants and great access to Maya Beach through the Green Parrot restaurant and bar.Enjoyed a great meal prepared by owner's personal chef.Could not have asked for more.

Family Trip November 2024

We had a great time staying at Ophelia’s Villa. The home was very clean. Well equipped and comfortable. Communication with the owners and property managers was great. Heather helped us plan all of our adventures and made everything painless. We loved having the lagoon views as well as all of the close restaurants. 10 out of 5 stars would highly recommend staying here. Great space for larger groups!

I traveled with a group of 8 people and the space was so accommodating and a wonderful experience! The private pool overlooking the lagoon was the perfect place for us all to hang out and relax.

Fantastic Stay at Ophelia's Villa

Ophelia's Villa was exactly as described, and in person, even better. The view of the lagoon and the Mayan mountains is extraordinary. The villa is extremely well thought out, and the communication with the Owners and Property Caretakers was the best I've ever experienced. The location was perfect for our family-- close to everything but also provided privacy. I definitely recommend this villa. Loved our visit to Belize.

Perfection 10/10

Ophelia’s villa impressed from beginning to end. The pictures accurately show each area of the home that we found so much enjoyment in. The owners created a digital guide that contained information about arriving into Belize, how to find the villa, check in process, local guide information, and even contained a link to local weather information. The owners have thought of everything, from the guide to the details of their home and welcome basket. We just really couldn’t be more impressed with the communication and care these owners put into ensuring our vacation was perfect. The high end finishings and furnishings of the home made our stay comfortable. There was plenty of room on the property for our group of 8 to come together or spread out when needing space as well. Kevin and Heather really put a lot of care and attention into making their guests feel welcomed and cared for. Thank you for providing an amazing stay for our family to create lifelong of memories.

Amazing Stay at Ophelia's

My family and i just got back from staying 10 days at Ophelia's Villa in April. Heather and Kevin could teach a class in how to properly manage your VRBO. I was blown away at how much work they put into to making their website and guidebook app. They truly thought of everything. Any question we had about the villa was easily answered in the guidebook app. We drove in from Belize City and the listing was easy to find. The villa is absolutely beautiful and you are immediately transformed to a relaxing and tranquil environment the minute you set foot in the door. The views are amazing and it was so nice to be located on the quieter lagoon side. The pool, fish dock, and outdoor games were great. Luti and Ms. Ida were both such lovely and helpful people. Any questions we had they were able to answer and Luti was really helpful with the few things we needed help with at the villa. We really enjoyed our time in Placencia and Maya Beach. The food in the area was excellent and I wished we could have had more time to try even more restaurants because we did not have a bad meal the entire trip. We were also very pleased with the tour company they recommended called Dtourz. Their guides were very knowledgeable and our tours were so much fun! I highly recommend staying at Ophelia's Villa. We cannot wait to come back and we are so in love with Belize now after staying at your house. Thank you Heather and Kevin for all that you have done to make our vacation so special.

6 stars if I could!

What a house and experience! This is by far the best vacation rental I have ever booked. Heather, Luti and Ida were on top of everything we needed. Our kids lived in the pool most days. And it was so nice to come back to fresh cooked meals a few times from Ida after some local adventures. Book this property, you won’t regret it.
