Angie and Phil have the most amazing place! We loved every minute of our stay and would go back in a heartbeat. This listing was one of the rare occasions where the pictures really do it justice... It was everything we imagined from the photos. We loved the private pool and beach but we also really appreciated the quiet privacy of the location; off the main road and tucked away, and far enough away from the main attractions of Placencia that we truly felt like we were all by ourselves at times. The farthest tip of the peninsula was about a 25 minute drive but very easy and beautiful and we were glad to have some separation from the busier areas. Highly recommend staying here!

Girls Trip 2025

What can I say about Angel’s Landing…the house was everything as described and more. Angela and Phil met us upon check in with hugs and big smiles. Four women on our first girls trip did not disappoint. The beds were comfortable, the ac worked amazing, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The hosts will give you suggestions on good restaurants, tours and anything you need. They were super fast to respond.The pool was so inviting and relaxing (we left floats for the next guests). Plenty of lounge chairs and places to sit. We did not get in the Caribbean due to the seaweed (normal this time of year) and roughness of the water. Shopping in Placencia Village is a must! So many quaint shops run by the locals and many bargains to be found. We actually drove up there every day!The airport is just over a 2 hour drive, but there are “hopper” flights you can take; however, it is approximately an hour drive from the Placencia airport, so I would suggest renting a car and enjoying the sights.You cannot go wrong with Angels Landing! I can say with 100% certainty that I will stay there again when I return to Belize!

Great location and relaxing stay

Angel's Landing was in a great location to hike in the nearby national parks, explore southern Mayan ruins, and to catch the boat for our snorkel trip. The house and grounds are well maintained and clean. We appreciated the larger kitchen filled with amenities to accommodate eating in a few nights and making smoothies daily. The pool was a definite plus as the ocean was a bit turbid during our stay due to the recent storms. Angela and Phil were extremely helpful and responsive to our questions during our stay. Overall, we had an enjoyable and relaxing vacation in this bit of paradise!

Paradise in paradise

We had the greatest experience. Beautiful property, beautiful beach. It was quiet we felt safe Easy access to Placencia. The owners were fabulous and made our check-in super easy. The food, the culture the excursions were all noteworthy.

Paradise for 4

Property was just as expected and we were greeted by owners as we arrived to provide a quick overview. Great owners! We rented a car and drove from Belize City; it was a nice drive. Easy to drive down to Placencia Village 30 min or Hopkins. We preferred this location verse being in the busy parts of town. The kids (12 and 15) enjoyed the pool and beach. We fished everyday from the beach and the kayaks were a bonus. We ate at the Green Parrot three times; highly recommend. (Cedric was the best). Overall, 10/10 was just what we were looking for.

Idyllic getaway on the beach

The house was clean, spacious and in a perfect location - in a quiet part of the Placencia peninsula (off the main road)- but we were a fairly short drive away from other destinations we wanted to visit. The kitchen was well equipped so we could cook and dine there. The outdoor dining area on the beach was also lovely. And the pool and kayaks were terrific bonuses. The house has great views and a nice balcony overlooking the pool and beach.Our host Angela went above and beyond in being welcoming and helpful throughout the process - providing info on local destinations, suggestions on car services... and especially when our daughter arrived early - drove her into town so she could get groceries.

Great stay in Belize!

The property is just as advertised. The house is clean and comfortable with amazing views of the sea during the day and star watching at night. The location was perfect for us. It's private and quiet and also close to many activities within a short drive. The hosts Phil and Angela were also great and provided lots of information about the house and things to do in the area. We really enjoyed our time here and will definitely consider staying again in the future.

We didn’t want to leave!!

This place is an absolute gem! It was our first time to Belize for our family of 4 (including a teen and pre-teen). We shopped locally and stocked the fridge and pantry with groceries for the week and the house had everything else we could possibly need. The views are outstanding and we felt like we had the entire peninsula to ourselves! We’ll have to come back another time to explore the ruins and waterfalls because this time we just enjoyed hanging out in the pool, on the private beach, and in Philville so much that we barely ever left the property! Thank you Phil and Angela for sharing your beautiful home, and a shout out to Tanya who was very quick and reliable to answer any questions that came up, we felt even safer knowing she was just two houses down.

Excellent location, beautiful home

The home is just as it is described, on the beach and in a beautiful location. It would have been nice to know that the only way into the house was up a steep, winding staircase so up older folks could have known what we had to deal with. Angela and Phil were the best hosts and responded to every question we had.

Beautiful place! We swam in the pool and sea every day. You really do need a car to stay here. Angels landing is 30 min from downtown Placentia or 40 speed bumps. Since the majority of guests have spent most of the day traveling, a welcome basket of coffee and snacks would be great! Also, the beds are not very comfortable and could use an update.

Winter getaway

This property did not disappoint. Amazing place right on ocean with a private pool for an incredible price. Angie and Phil wonderful host and hostess. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of water jugs supplied. Wonderful pool seating. Great space in house. The tower was great for sunrises and sunsets. Pool temp was perfect. Easy to find location with plenty of restaurants and stores within 20-30 minutes. A vehicle is a must. Easy to get around. Excursions to do snorkeling to laughing bird national park and monkey river and rain forest are must dos. Enjoyed our massages under cabana with Lori. She was amazing. Loved the island and people. Exceeded expectations

The property and property managers (Angie & Phil) are great. The property exceeded expectations, it was perfect, very homey and quiet but not secluded. It's about 10 minutes from Maya Beach and 30 minutes from Placencia. The drive is scenic, we enjoyed it every time; had the roof of the Jeep off often. There was minimal beach foot traffic, only the odd neighbor, no sales people like in Maya Beach or Placencia. When we arrived Phil and Angie met us and showed us around the property then gave us recommendations for supper and a grocery store, which were spot on and reasonably priced. We swam in the ocean and pool every day. Our adult boys used the kayaks and snorkeled in the ocean. Philville (tiki hut) was our favorite place to chill. We had many cocktails there and played games protected from the sun; it's a wonderful spot (might build one at our own cottage). The only issue with giving a glowing review, that is deserved, is that it will be harder to secure accommodations when we come back. We definitely will, but for longer than the 6 days we stayed this time. It was a wonderful vacation.

Everything we pictured!!

The pictures are gorgeous but, honestly don’t do justice until you walk in and really get the feel of the property. This is my new favorite Vrbo ever. Privacy , beach and pool . Wonderful hosts who know how to live the Belize best life . Take advantage of the kayaks they have for your use. Restaurants close by and just a short drive to grocery stores and Placencia village. Not one thing I’d change about this paradise in Placencia . I’m already wanting to go back.

Amazing accommodations and stress free!

Our hosts Angela and Phil were great. If we had any questions they answered them right away. Having the pool and beach was wonderful (the both of best worlds). We could fish off the beach, having the kayaks was an added bonus along with the Tiki Hut and the tower you could go up on the watch the sunrise and sunset. Just beautiful. One thing to note which we did not find out till our last week was there is a baker who comes twice a week on the street, someone selling fresh veggies and every Saturday they also stop by to see if you want meat. They had chicken, lamb, pork and I think juice as well. We bought the chicken twice and it was very good and tasty. Maya Beach was close to buy some groceries and the Bistro had great food. For a little change we went to the Jaguar Bowling Alley for supper one night and bowled a game. If you are looking for a quiet area this is it. We were there for two weeks and we did not want to leave. You will not be disappointed.

Magnificent House on the Beach

Angela and Phil have an absolutely perfect vacation property! A nice size pool, right on the beach, kayaks for use, close to 2 great restaurants- Maya Bistro and Umaya resort has a restaurant and a separate wood fire grill pizza restaurant. We got massages at the Umaya resort- outstanding, dove with Splash, and toured the Xanantunich ruins followed by a refreshing river cave tube tour. The house is spacious, great views of the ocean with entertaining pelicans. Lots of chairs, chaise lounge chairs, a bar down by the water and more! Just gazing at the beautiful view from the rising sun to the full moon will cure one of all stress! Bravo Angela and Phil!
