The house was great, the views were excellent. The property was well taken care of, and we had everything we needed. One thing to point out is that one bedroom only had bunk beds, but the pictures make it look like there are three regular sized beds. Not a deal breaker, but could be important if you are planning on rooms for three couples.

absolutely a wonderful stay! beach pool pier and seclusion! a great space for a family of 4and if you need there is another casa on property so you can rent both spaces for a family retreat! simply a wonderful perfect place for our family of 4!!! couldn’t have asked for a more perfect space! 30 minutes from placencia but we didn’t want to be in the touristy spot! this was a perfect place for us!

The property itself is amazing, with a beautiful and peaceful beach, lovely dock, pool area, etc — and the house is equipped with everything you need, very clean, comfortable and modern. The host and property manager were wonderful to work with and very responsive — wouldn’t hesitate to book here again!

Family vacation

The La Vida house is located on the north end of Placencia peninsula. The house was perfect for our family with three adult children. Also the house is well equipped and clean with everything you would need, including snorkel gear. Kind of off the beaten path, which is exactly what we were looking for in a rental location. We wanted to get away, but also have restaurants and things to do close by. Loved our entire stay and would definitely book this place again.

La Casa Vida

Lovely home with pool and beach in your backyard. Beach had palm trees for shade and was completely private shared only by the second rental property on this site. Private dock with chairs to watch sunrise and enjoy the ocean breeze. Property is on the main road leading to Placencia. It is about a 20 minute car drive from the town of Placencia and 10 minutes from Maya beach area.

Great House with Beach Access!

My family stayed here in January and really enjoyed the property. There were 5 of us and we all fit very comfortably. Note that one of the rooms does have twin bunk beds so that may be better suited for a family traveling with kids (rather than all adults). The kitchen was well stocked with necessities and the shared beach acces was a great bonus! There were plenty of toys available, kayaks, paddle boards, cornhole, etc... plus the pier was a great spot for morning coffee. Easy drive to the southern end of Placencia. Recommend getting a car if you want to travel out further (which I would unless your vacation is truly to lounge and relax). Property manager and the house caretakers were great and really helpful with recommendations for things to do. There is another rental on the property so you may have neighbors to share the grill & beach with but there's plenty of space to accommodate two groups! I would recommend this vrbo.

The owner and property manager were always available. We had 3 days of rain that caused the bugs to be very bad. On day 3 there were dead bugs around the sliding glass doors and any inside wall. The property manager had it cleaned up while we were away and never had another problem like that. The gecko was another issue entirely. We kept hearing a high pitch chirping and found scat on the floor and other surfaces. We were told it's tropical and they eat the bugs. This was unacceptable to us. We had problems relaxing indoors and sleeping. We left a day early. That morning my daughter found scat on her pillow! These were not the only issues we incurred. When we booked it was not made clear to use that there would be others on the property. We had a 3 bedroom, 2 bath villa and beneath us there was another couple. Also a studio cabana had at least 2 couples come in and stay while we were there. We did not know we would be sharing this small space with others, let alone the beach and pier. When brought to the owners attention he said no beaches in Belize are private. It was intrusive and uncomfortable. Also the villa is located at the north end of Placencia. It is at least 20 minute drive to restaurants and the main areas of the town. I'm sure this is an isolated incident. This is probable a beautiful peaceful place to stay if the weather is hot and the geckos are not inhabiting your bed.

Better than my expectations

Everything was perfect. Kitchen area well stocked. AC functioned well. Walk to beach 100 yards. Beds comfortable. Enough space for 4. Pool refreshing. Location good but 1/2 hour to southern end of peninsula. I was hesitant due to one bad review on google. It must have been some prima Donna. That review was fully wrong. No mustiness, well lit, great supplies available. Beach was more than fine. Recommend booking a day /overnight in Tikal and San Ignacio. ATM cave is a must. Sea Horse scuba were very helpful. We will return.

Living our best life!!!

La Vida Belize was a great experience for me and my family. All the amenities were modern, and accessible to us. Im from Belize, and wanted something away from the village and city. This place was perfect. Kids swam everyday for hours. We had great weather also! I mean what better to wake up to the sun, and at night a little rain! PERFECT!! Even though there was construction next door, they were never a bother, you wouldn't think anyone was around! Lucas (manager) was super awesome, and Mrs. Dora (housekeeping) took care of everything, and left us with a beautiful and clean home to stay in! What more can i say, i would definitely want to rent this home again, and would advise this place to everyone!

Amazing!!

This property is beautiful. From the first communication with Brad to (reluctantly) leaving the property to head home at the end of our stay, everything was perfect. Brad's communication was outstanding and very accurate. The local contact was also great and very fast to respond to anything. He also linked us up with a fantastic contact for a couple of local tours where we paid the same price for a private tour as we would have for a group. The property itself is stunning - perfectly clean, exactly as described / shown in the pictures, (the aircon was great!), the pool is perfect and the beach is incredible. Having the shaded seating by the pool as well as all the amenities you would ever need for a perfect family vacation. There were even a couple of toys in the pool for the kids - nice bonus :-) It's a very peaceful and private location and easy to get to and find, but bars, restaurants and towns are a very short drive away. I would also recommend heading out to Cockscomb Jaguar Reserve which is closeby. Thanks again Bran / Gaylyn / Lucas - this could not have been a better stay.

Wow, what more could you ask for?

Wow, what more could you ask for? La Vida Belize has everything you need! First of all, Brad is great to work with. Brad answered any and all questions and kept me up to date on everything. The caretaker, Lucas, was very helpful while also being very aware of privacy. We greatly appreciated his assistance and his knowledge of local culture and dining options. The Villa is clean, very well appointed and on a great stretch of the beach. We apricated being just north of Placencia Village but also found it to be an easy drive if we wanted to go to the village. The house floor plan was intuitive and spacious. We enjoyed the deck that had easy access from any part of the home as well as the air-conditioning that helped us sleep comfortably at night. The beautiful pool became our number one spot to relax and cool off. Please don’t forget to eat at Maya Beach Bistro, so yummy. The little road-side farmers market in Placencia Village (almost at the end of the road) was a great stop for fresh vegs and fruit. Omar’s in Placenia has wonderful seafood.
