Great house Great Location.

We spent 8 days with our entire family. This home was the perfect setup. Top floor master suite was great the bed was just right for us. Second floor kitchen and 1 bed room was perfect for our daughter and grandson. Main floor was great for our son and his wife. Plenty of space for everyone. Pool was the place to be all week. Beautiful sunrises every day. We were able to see rays several varieties of fish and crabs. Even seen a pod of dolphin and a few manatees off the neighboring peir. Overall a nice place to stay.

A great multigenerational family house

We had a wonderful 2 weeks staying at the Jammin Gecko villa. We were a family of 10 ranging in age from 21 months to 70 years. One of the reasons we picked Jammin Gecko was that the bedrooms were on different levels. We, the grandparents, enjoyed the great top floor suite and considered it our quiet zone. The middle floor with one bedroom was nice for our childless couple and the lower level with 3 bedrooms was for our daughter’s family with the 4 children. The other reason we liked Jammin Gecko was the pool. We made very good use of it! We had lots of family time but could spread out and find quiet places when we wanted them. We were able to snorkel from the beach, kayak, and fish from the shared pier. The location allowed us to go to the zoo on our way from Belize City. We also toured the Mayan ruins, took a catamaran cruise, went diving and snorkeling, and took 2 great sunset cruises. Mabel and Mindy kept the house spotlessly clean and our laundry done which is a lot of work with small children! Orlando cooked for us 7 days which was a wonderful treat until I got on the scales after returning home😬. The pool and the beach were well maintained and always clean. I felt like the only negative was that the furniture was not particularly comfortable especially in the main living area. A house this size needs a living area that is big enough for everyone to gather in if they choose to. I would however still recommend this house. Hopefully we’ll be back again.

Fantastic week in Placencia

We loved our week at the Villa Jammin Gecko! It was a perfect fit for our group of nine. The beds were comfortable, the property is well furnished and clean, and we loved the beach and pier area. We also had Manuel cook for us a few of the days and the food was delicious!

Never disappoints

This was our third stay at Jammin' Gecko and it has always exceeded our expectations. This was the first time that we booked Chef Domingo for our entire stay and it was more than worth it. Excellent food and much less expensive than going out to eat. He was always very flexible in accommodating our meal times based on the activities we had scheduled. Top notch staff and very friendly.

Fantastic Family Villa

It was very easy and efficient to rent the Jammin Gecko Villa for our family of 6 adults and 5 children. The villa was very clean and well appointed with nice furnishings and a very functional layout. Beds were comfortable with modern bathrooms adjacent to the bedroom. Housekeeping kept the inside and pool and outside areas very clean and tidy. Very abundant supply of beach towels and bath towels. Our chef Manuel was excellent with tasty meals and a variety of entrees. Seaside location and private pool with toys made play time for the children great. The bar downstairs provided an excellent place for wine and rum tastings. This is the PERFECT family villa!!

We spent 6 days at Jammin Gecko and had an amazing time. The beach is wonderful. The dock adds a fun view and place to take pictures or just relax. The staff exceeded all of our expectations. They were friendly, knowledgeable and down right awesome! We would stay here again with no hesitation.

Birthday Trip

The Jammin Gecko was amazing! I celebrated my 50th birthday with family and friends. Mabel and Manuel were fantastic. I highly recommend you ask for Manuel as your personal chef. He is perfection. Mabel cleans the house and washes clothes daily. You will never want to leave. However, watch out for excursions some of them are scams and their credit card machines NEVER work, conveniently.

We recently stayed with 10 people ( 4 kids ages 7-10, and 6 adults). The property was immaculate. The staff was helpful, assessable, and super hospitable. We elected to have Domingo cook for the full week, and every meal was on time, nutritious and delicious ( definitely worth the extra days to have worry free meals, and given the distance of other restaurants for a party that size without a rental van). The portal was helpful in deciding which excursions we wanted to try. Transportation was arranged, and timely. The pool was a hit for the kiddos ( and adults). Again, the staff and management of the property was wonderful. We would highly recommend, and would love to return for another trip. Our only recommendations are to confirm quantity of groceries on the portal to stock the house ahead of time. For example, it says "coffee" with a quantity to pick. It wasn't clear if that was pounds, bags, K-cups,. This recommendation is relevant for all quantities of items being ordered through the portal. Another recommendation is for installation of towel hooks out by the pool/pool house, and within the rooms. Lot's of wet towels with a group that size. Also be prepared with cash to pay for all groceries, and overshoot how much you will need, as we were not as prepared and needed to make a trip into town for the ATM's. Highly recommend the snorkeling and Laughing Bird Caye, it was beyond our expectations, the staff was very knowledgeable and kid friendly. We also did Monkey River, which BE OVERLY prepared for bugs. We following the instructions with long loose clothing, hats, and DEET spray, and it was no match for the jungle mosquitos. The manatee stop on the way back was a fan favorite from our group. We loved this property and loved our travel to Belize!

Perfect house for a friends getaway

From the booking process through checkout, we kept thinking this was too good to be true, but it was all real! The staff was incredible and was able to offer as much or as little help as we wanted at every step of planning our trip. The house is beautiful, well designed for both privacy and group gatherings and meticulously maintained. The owners have thought of everything--from the pool table to the wine cooler by the pool to the house cell phone for making local calls. They missed no detail in offering the guest a smooth and relaxing experience. Our trip was wonderful!

great experience

We loved our stay. We loved not having an "all inclusive." The pool was completely ours, the property has a wonderful private beach, kayaks, etc. We debated on whether we should have the chef cooks for us. So glad we did. Grocery store shopping in Belize is not what we are used to. We did go out to dinner several times, but just eating at home was so much easier and relaxing. It tasted great, so convenient, and clean. The staff was wonderful. We also had a great scuba diving tour with Sunnyside Tours.

It Couldn't Have Been Better!

Another vacation is in the books for the 10 of us (5 couples)...ages 56 to 73...from Michigan and Wisconsin. This property fit us perfectly from the 5 ensuite bedrooms, to the large kitchen for cooking / dining, to the well maintained pool that leads right out to the sea. The house was spotless. The cleaning staff was attentive, friendly and our beds / baths attended to daily. Our laundry was done for us every day. We hired a chef for 3 days who arrived at our chosen time to make breakfast, came back to prepare lunch, and came back again to prepare supper. All the meals and desserts were top notch. They set the table, prepared the meals, and cleaned up the kitchen afterwards. The property came with a golf cart and we rented another golf cart to meet our needs. With at least 25 years of annual vacations under our belts, this one was by far one of the nicest. To have the laundry done, the meals prepared, and a lot of other details attended to made our trip that much more relaxing. 2020 Oakland family vacation, 1/8-18

We enjoyed our stay at Jammin Gecko. This was a fantastic beautiful house for our family of 13. Loved having our own pool and beach. Enjoyed swimming everyday in the pool. playing volleyball and pool, and kayaking. Geri and Mabel were very accommodating and helpful. I must say it was a disappointment that Domingo was not able to fix our Lobster dinner, but the Cochinita Pibil Soft tacos for lunch were amazing! Unfortunately we were not able to do all of the excursions we wanted to due it raining everyday, but did have a great time swimming at the waterfall and the snorkeling trip was awesome too! The golf carts worked great for our trips to the village of Placencia and the nearest grocery store. It was a very nice much needed relaxing vacation! Thanks Jammin Gecko!!

Our home away from home

We always enjoy our stay at the Gecko homes. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The house is perfect. Volleyball is so much fun on the pool. Shooting pool with the family until late was a nightly thing. If you want to get away and enjoy a beachfront home, Jammin is the place to be. We vacation there every 2-3 years and will continue to return.

Great House

The house was beautiful, much better than the pictures. Very clean, house staff was kind and accommodating. Chef was amazing- I wish we would've booked him for more nights! About a mile up the road there is sand dredging going on so the beach infront of the house has murky water. (nothing the house can control). overall great experience! Would stay again!

The house and staff were all as described! The food was great the staff were very nice and accommodating! I would definitely stay there again with friends! Rent a car or an extra golf cart to get to local restaurants, their food was amazing!
