Definitely worth it

Amazing property. A 1903 custom home turned B&B. Lots of history and artifacts from around the world. Crystal, the manager, took us on a room by room tour and explained the details.

This B&B is wonderful. Crystal is so welcoming and loves sharing the history of her beautiful home. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Water pressure in shower was great —( sometimes I have found it lacking at B&Bs). Breakfast was delicious — we had an early college visit booked and the chef prepared us delicious omelettes quickly and got us fed and on our way If she decides on a school in Pittsburgh I’ll definitely be staying here when I visit!

Romantic getaway!!!

The Mansion at Maple Heights was fantastic, a beautiful building. Crystal was a fantastic hostess and the room is immaculate! We would definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants to get away for a little while and a turn of the century mansion! the bed and breakfast is very romantic and secluded while at the same time close to shops and dining, very well located!

Beautiful 115 year old mansion in a quiet wooded setting. Comfortable rooms plus a library, sitting area and huge back porch. Great place to stay and see Pittsburgh or just relax for the weekend. Wonderfully gracious hosts. Definitely will return.

wonderful staff complement charming BandB

My mother recently stayed at the Mansion at Maple Heights and we were so well taken care of by the exceptional staff. Crystal was accommodating and enthusiastic in welcoming us and touring us around the property despite a late check-in, and GM/Chef Shaun went over and above in serving us and making us feel spoiled. The property is elegant and stately and I recommend this place highly.

Just remember it's an old bed and breakfast.

We were greeted with warm cookies and shown around the mansion. Then up the creaking floor staircase to our room. So nice and inviting. Also nice to have a vintage suite but the bathroom was newly remodeled.

a quasi "secret" driveway in the middle of Shadyside, leading up to a lovely Mansion getaway. COmfy, cozy, homey, lovely, with history that further enchants this Bed and breakfast.

Beautiful old mansion

We got an extensive tour of the house before heading up to our large, clean, third floor room. The queen beds were comfortable although i am not a fan of memory foam. Water pressure in the bathroom was excellent. I recommend getting at least one pancake at breakfast, just delicious.

Thankfully, being renovated

We were disappointed with the overall condition of the setting. It is a beautiful building but reportedly has been used extensively as an event venue, resulting in visible wear and tear to the building. Our bathroom was super clean and luxurious, but the room we stayed in looked dingy, with carpet that needs replacing and walls in need of repair: We still paid full rate. I would happily pay a reduced rate for a room under these circumstances but expecting one thing and encountering another amounted to deflation.

Lovely mansion!

Great location, interesting and historic building. Staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. Stayed in the Berger Suite - very large and clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and service was quick and pleasant. We absolutely stay here again the next time we are in Pittsburgh.

Gorgeous building, nice owners, beautiful porch

Stayed 5 nights, which meant 5 breakfasts, all very tasty. House is beautiful, with amazing woodwork. Parts of it are showing some wear, but that doesn't detract from the charm. Some of the modernizations are a little uneven, for ex. I had the a/c vent blowing directly on me while lying in bed. The porch is unbelievable--great place to hang out and watch the rain, or the sunset. Quiet house, quiet setting, still very close to CMU/Pitt/Shadyside/Squirrel Hill. Owners and staff were friendly and helpful.

Classic old mansion gives excellent experience

We only needed a single night stay over in the Pittsburgh area - and found this inn by searching hotel sites. It looked absolutely gorgeous, so we booked it. And when we arrived everything looked exactly as it did in photos. The host greeted us and gave a quick tour - we were time-constrained so she was quick to take us around and explain rules and procedures. Our room was spacious and clean, with everything you would expect in a standard hotel style room. We got back late so didn't get to enjoy the first floor amenities as much as we would have liked. The room was clean and comfortable, which was most important. In the morning we had more time to enjoy the library and fireplace rooms before and after breakfast. They are large and relaxing and very comfortable - and just invite you to sit and relax with a cup of coffee! Breakfast was prepared to order, and was excellent. We'd missed out on dinner the night before so were ready for a hearty meal - and the cook delivered. As you would expect, there was personal attention and plenty of interaction. Before leaving we wandered around the grounds a bit and chatted with the property manager and cook, super nice guys who really love and appreciate the property and worked hard to deliver a relaxing experience. As expected in a place this old, there are creaky and uneven floors, but in general the place is in good repair and very clean. Highly recommended!

Quick Trip-Pitt Grad

I was in town for a graduation. Enjoyed my stay because I love the feel of B&B's. Only 2 issues: I need to print of tickets for graduations. The printer for residences wasn't immediately accessible and breakfast was from 8:00-9:45am. Just thought that window was small for breakfast. Otherwise, it was a nice option because for the cost, location and atmosphere, the price point was far better for what I got for my money when comparing to hotels nearby.
