Nice quiet cabin in the country
We enjoyed a very nice weekend at this property. It was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The setting is unique in that it is remote and provides a nice pond for fishing. The owner was very nice and helpful. There were plenty of activities in the surrounding towns. Looking forward to a return trip.

Texas Tree House Getaway
Just had the best VRBO experience in Pittsburg Texas. I was lucky enough to book this gem by a lake during the great total solar eclipse of 2024 and had a wonderful experience. The owners, Nancy and Ron couldn't have been nicer and we made life long friends with them. By all means route your next trip through Texas by way of their place you won't be disappointed...and bring your pole, fishing on the lake is fantastic!

We had an amazing get away at your beautiful treehouse. Enjoyed fishing and quality quiet time away from the everyday hustle of daily life. Thank you for telling us about the Prayer Tower downtown, it was beautiful and we definitely sent up Our Prayers. Would definitely recommend a stay here and would like to return.

The property was quiet and peaceful. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. Two things that kept this from being 5 stars: The heating unit was very loud and abrupt every time it came on. The mattress was not comfortable.

Just as advertised
Very comfortable, clean, and well-equipped for a memorable stay. The lake and fishing were a welcome combination of relaxation and entertainment. The host, Nancy, along with her four-legged assistants, a welcome note, cookies, and biscuits were an added treat. We hope to revisit in the future.

Peaceful place to fish and relax
Great place to go for fishing and relaxing. Caught soooooo many fish! Nice to just sit and look at the water from the dock and unwind. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Tree House Get Away
Wife & I enjoyed our stay at the Tree House. The fishing was good. The provided boat was perfect for the lake. Nancy was a very gracious host. We are planning to come back in the near future.

Nature lovers delight!
Beautiful property with horses and trees galore. Host greeted us, was very friendly and responsive. Cottage was very clean, smelled nice and was cooked down for us. We had complimentary biscuits with the best peach jam in east Texas. We will definitely go again!!!

Great Anniversary Get Away!!
My husband and I stayed here March 16-19, 2023 to celebrate our 34th anniversary. I forgot to do my review at that time, but I made a reservation to come back June 21-24, 2023 with my sister. Unfortunately, due to a storm, the Treehouse lost electricity and we had to go elsewhere. When we stayed in March we enjoyed it so much! Very clean!! Very pretty and cozy!! We took walks around the beautiful property! We enjoyed Kai visiting us! We enjoyed coffee on the porch! It had everything we needed. Nancy left us bisquits, which we had every morning for breakfast as well as Apricot/Raspberry Thumbprint cookies with our coffee. :) It was very relaxing and restful!! Thank you, Nancy! We also went in to Pittsburg several times. We loved the coffee shop there and the shopping downtown. The Prayer Chapel was our favorite, and we were so glad that we took the time to stop there! It is beautiful!!

Wonderful stay, wonderful host, wonderful get away!
Best place to stay to get away from it all. Wonderful pier and fishing with a boat if you want, beautiful woods and landscape, and the treehouse is absolutely amazing. Roughing it with fridge, ac, internet and cable tv along with a stove and microwave! Plenty of things to do in Winnsboro or Pittsburg well as Gilmore and all are close by. The host Nancy is a very nice soul and a great pleasure to talk to and if you need anything, she is there in minutes. Easy check in and out.

An absolute GEM!
This property is an East Texas GEM! The treehouse is a perfect getaway. The accommodations are clean, neat and they have everything you need. The bed is quite comfortable. The property is secluded and covered in nice tall shade trees - you feel like there is no one around you for miles! As nice as all of that is, the crown jewel of the property is the private lake that is just full of fish. It's my favorite place to fish and my favorite property to stay at. The owners are as nice as can be. Great communication, very prompt, very helpful. A great place to stay!

Refreshing
What an amazing weekend we had. This was our base camp for the weekend. The location was beautiful! Nancy was amazing - she went above and beyond to make our stay special. From the sweet card to the cookies, popcorn, biscuits, jelly and eggs! It is the perfect place to relax and take a break from the busyness of life. We will definitely be back!!

Great place to relax and fish. We have stayed here many times and enjoy fishing at the pond. The pond was down this trip but the fishing was still great. Worms and minnows worked the best this trip. The owner's are really nice. We will be back!

This is a lovely property in the country. Quite remote but close enough to several small towns with good food and some shopping. Antique shops abound. I have no complaints. Just make sure you are able to walk up stairs.

AMAZING!
It may seem small when you see it online but everything is perfectly placed to make it seem spacious and comfortable. It’s so nice to just walk down to the dock to fish or relax. It is hard to say which is more beautiful sunrise or sunset! The owners couldn’t be more gracious and their jelly is to die for! It isn’t far from several small towns if you really want something to do, but relaxing in the treehouse or outside is the best! Wonderful experience all the way around!

We had a wonderful relaxing quick 2 night getaway in the treehouse. The owners add nice special touches, are so sweet, and are quick to respond to any needs or questions. The property is beautiful and we caught several bass in the pond. I definitely recommend this as a peaceful getaway and would like to come back with our family and rent one of the other homes on the property sometime soon.

Just what we needed!
The Treehouse was amazing and the property was a dream. My husband and I found ourselves talking in whispers because we didn't want to disturb the serenity and peacefulness of the place. We loved sitting on the deck and just listening to the rustling of the trees, Paula was very helpful in suggesting local restaurants. But our favorite surprise of the trip was falling in love with Rojo, the world's friendliest cat. He made it feel like home for us. We want to go back in the Fall!
