Great house! Such a beautiful location. Will definitely be looking to stay again if we’re visiting NY. Our host was wonderful and accommodating. So nice to see the local wildlife and listen to all the sounds.

Loved the long weekend

I liked the large rug in the entry that made it easy to remove your shoes. Beautiful hardwood 1st floor, upstairs was all nice carpet.Plenty of dishes, pots, pans I enjoyed the random spices and other kitchen items. The grill and deck chairs allowed us to cook a fun supper out back. We only needed help with a couple things and the owners were very friendly and fast. They had dry. There were many extra towels and blankets and sheets firewood so we had a pit fire

Family Getaway

We booked this home to go to Legoland and Kartrite and it was not too far from either. I had no idea just how beautiful New York was! We got to see all of nature at this home, lots of beautiful deer, birds, and even a black bear which is a memory we all will hold forever! There was ample space in the home and plenty of seating for eating and playing games. Thank you for our stay!

Great place and location

Stayed here for a few days with friends and had a wonderful time! The house was clean, spacious, and peaceful -- we especially enjoyed relaxing on the porch and in the backyard. The surrounding area is very beautiful, especially in the fall, and the house is a short, scenic drive to Minnewaska State Park, where we went hiking. Brian was very accommodating and gracious and made sure we had everything we needed. There were a good amount of ladybugs in the house, but they mostly kept to themselves, and we and Brian vacuumed some of them up as well. Definitely recommend this place and would stay here again in the future!

Clean and well maintained House

We came to the house to have a small vacation with friends. We had a pleasant stay over all, House is very clean, kitchen is well stocked with utensils and we had a nice grilling experience as well. Nice to have- Owner could maintain the grass outside of house so children can run and enjoy in the grass.

We enjoyed the property. It was clean and spacious. Lots of parking, able to grill easily, close to lots of great places to visit and hiking trails, very clean, kitchen well equipped. Issues - 1. air conditioning very lack luster, one room was not air conditioned at all, air conditioner for downstairs really inadequate for size of room. 2. lots of noise from apartment below us - heard voices well into the night the first night of our visit. 3. stove - saw note not to use highest settings, but a pot of water would not boil on level 8. 4. could use better lighting - difficult to play games for us old people Overall we were satisfied and would stay there again - just hope for beautiful (not hot!) weather.

Beautiful Location

Spacious, nicely appointed, clean, secluded without being remote. Enjoyed nights on the back porch, seeing the deer in the mornings. Close to hiking and state parks.

Great living room for being with friends, sad about the rain and not being able to utilize the outdoor area. There is a rooster on-site so early mornings we were able to wake up to the sound of being on a farm.

Exactly as advertised

The home was very clean and looked nicer than in the pictures. The remote-feeling location, with hiking nearby and a chicken coup right next to the house was exactly what we were looking for. A truly relaxing weekend to get away from it all. We had a blast.

The house is very spacious and lovingly maintained. Since our stay was in the middle of a string of snowstorms, it was yeoman's work to get the driveway, path, etc. plowed in time for check-in. And Bryon kept at it, making a snowspotless property.
