There was plenty to do and see in the local area, and the hotel itself was excellent - very clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The staff were polite, helpful, and genuinely friendly, which made a big difference. The pool was a highlight for us - we used it three times during our stay and loved it! "Firstly, the location was great. The Stork is near the M6 and minutes away from downtown Lancaster, yet you feel like you are in the country. We enjoyed a last minute stay at the Stork and feel as though we had found a hidden gem. If the rooms aren't brand new, they certainly appear so. We also had a gastropub style meal at night and a complimentary full English bteakfast in the morning. Both meals were very good.
