My parents and I stayed here for 4 nights and 5 days and had an absolutely fantastic time. Only a short stroll away from busy Picton, this hideaway is the perfect place to unwind and relax with a glass of wine and fresh home-made cakes on the balcony of a charming and historical home at the base of the Picton hills. It was the perfect mix of historical charm with modern facilities and appliances. But the excellent amenities and services can hardly compare to the incredible warmth that Stefan and Michelle bring to the homestead, where you are looked after like a member of the family. Michelle and Stefan were also kind enough to provide lots of fantastic gluten-free and dairy-free alternatives for breakfast and afternoon tea (which were actually so delicious that we had breakfast for dinner on a few occasions).
When you first arrive, you are immediately greeted by the friendliest and cutest puppy in the world, Harvey, who was only too happy to provide cuddles and lots of games of fetch and tug-of-war on request. (I genuinely considered ‘accidentally’ missing our ferry just so I could spend a couple of extra hours hanging out with Harvey...)
We will definitely be back again soon and would recommend it to anyone, whether you are looking for a couples retreat, a small family get-away, or just on your own, this is the perfect choice.
