York and Castle Howard are about an hours drive away and offer all the history and culture that any holiday would need. The neighbouring market towns of Pickering, Malton, Kirbymoorside and Helmsley are great destinations and are the hubs for many summer festivals and shows. The National Park and Coastline offer many opportunities for a great day out. The North York Moors National Park is on the doorstep with miles of open moor to wander through.
