"The front door was not secure. Many times I found the lock open. The lock showed obvious signs of someone trying to force their way in. The parking included with the room is an out right lie. The options were park on the street or paying for the use of a car park. My interactions with the staff made it obvious that asking for a refund against the cost of my parking was pointless. My room had at least 3 holes in the wall patched up with brown paper. The bed sheet was ripped.My doors lock...

"Beautiful stay at the Haven Crest. Rooms were immaculate. The breakfast was 5* and served by a lovely friendly helpful lady. The premises is just outside the main town but a lovely walk along the coast to reach it, about 15 minutes. A lovely bar with fantastic views right next door. The Manager was was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend this B&B"

"The bedroom & en suite were very tastefully decorated, with the decor exactly to our taste! The Bella Rose coffee shop was used throughout our stay & the staff were very welcoming & accommodating. The 15% discount was used each time we ate there which was a bonus as thought it might be a one-off. Peasholm Park on the doorstep was a huge plus too! My only criticism of our stay was that I made the owners aware that I was allergic to fur & feathers beforehand & I particularly queried any cushions...

"Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit. I asked the owner Stacie if I could therefore cancel my second night and obtain a partial refund for it. Stacie agreed...
