Very nice southwestern house in a prime location
This is a very nice southwest style house in a neighborhood far enough away from Phoenix, but not secluded. Lots to see and explore within 25 miles, including Anthem and Cave Creek Owners are very responsive to any needs which occur.

Honest feedback
We did enjoy our stay here & Casey was very responsive but I do believe in honest feedback. The house looked like someone had just moved out. If you are someone with back or disability issues this may not be the best place. There were several cleanliness issues & maintenance issues, some resolved while there. Would hire new cleaning crew.

I’m disappointed to hear that the house was not to your satisfaction despite our many efforts to meet your requests. I offered for the cleaning crew to return immediately, but the guest declined. Please know our guests’s satisfaction is our #1 priority. The house is thoroughly cleaned prior to each check-in. This guest was pleased enough to request to stay again next year though 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nice stay in Anthem
We enjoyed our stay at Casey’s place for the month of Dec. It is a spacious house in a nice safe neighborhood - easy highway access which we liked. Close to grocery and restaurants in Anthem Casey was very responsive and kept in touch to see if all was well She even sent us a lovely gift basket for Christmas since we were there for the holidays . We love Anthem and how family friendly it is . They decorate the town park beautifully for Christmas . Thanks Casey!!

Anthem Getaway
My wife and I enjoyed a comfortable stay in Anthem. The home is well appointed and quite comfortable. It is close to freeways and stores. Casey always responded quite quickly to our emails and consistently sent out inquiry’s to make sure we were enjoying our stay.

Big house with lots of room
We stayed here over the holidays and the house was spacious enough for us to have our extended family of 8 join us. It was well stocked and clean. The owner was accommodating and easy to talk to! Great place!

Nice location, but some cons
Pros: The house was in a nice location and the owners were responsive by email. There were everyday cooking items to use. The front door locked by code so we didn’t need a key and that was convenient. The master bedroom was on the main floor and was large and a washer and dryer was also on the main level. Cons: The pots and pans were nonstick and most were so scratched up that they were dangerous to use and some handles were very loose. The sofa was well used and soft to sit on. We weren’t able to put our SUV in the garage. The Wi-Fi was spotty.

Firstly thank you for staying with us. I only wished you would’ve brought any issues to our attention during your stay so we could’ve helped. The listing does mention “2 spaces to park on driveway.” We’ll be replacing any damaged cookware asap. Our goal is for you to have a pleasant stay.

Great place to stay.
The place is amazing. Great place to stay if you're planning for family get away. The owner is so friendly, and available if you need him for anything. He does check-in time to time during your stay. Property is well kept and clean. Location is very good and in a quiet neighborhood. I will definitely booked the place again if I ever come back to Phoenix. Thank you

Convenient and Comfortable
The home suited my family's needs perfectly during our transition into a new home. The home was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our time there. Owners were great about check in process and checking in and repsponding.

Owners were extremely accommodating . Neighbors friendly. Only negative was at busy location. However we adjusted welI .House was very clean & has nice back yard. Views are outstanding in area. Wish we could rent this in future.

Not a fun experience
Where do I even begin? First off, this property owner is new to VRBO and boy does it show! They have very little business sense. It all started when I needed to add a couple of days to the booking and it was a major hassle. I went to them and they said to contact VRBO. So I contacted VRBO after about a half hour on the phone and they said to reach out to owner. Ultimately theyaccommodated but it was a major hassle. Next, I have young kids and this house is NOT is a good location. It’s right next to a busy street, and it’s the first house in the neighborhood so tons of cars pass it all day. When we got to the house we found scorpions. Some dead lying in the back yard. I was hoping to use the backyard but we couldn’t because where there should have been grass it was just all mud. We didn’t use the backyard even once which was super disappointing. Don’t be deceived by the backyard! The first 3-4 days in the house were miserable. It smelled horrible of a dog and all of our allergies were horrible. Our throats swelled up every minute and even though the owner tried to help, we all still suffered. The house is generally older and feels its age. One morning I went to turn the water on in the master bedroom and the faucet handle broke. To this day the owner still thinks it’s my fault. The handle was completely corroded and was going to break no matter what! The owner was very upset with me even though I paid a nice security deposit and damage insurance against anything breaking! I did nothing wrong but to this day the owner made me feel like a horrible person for doing this. Then come to check out time we did everything that they requested including doing all the dishes and putting them in the dishwasher and starting it and putting all the linens by the washer. But guess what? The cleaners apparently said that the house was dirty and they charged the owner an extra fee for cleaning. First off, my wife and I are super clean people. Second, we did everything that was asked of us and the owner was still very upset at us and even wanted to charge us the extra fee! I would NOT recommend this property to anyone. The owner is very difficult to deal with and extremely argumentative. They didn’t show any gratitude that we paid thousands to stay at their property for a month. This was an unpleasant experience and I would not recommend this property to anyone!

Dear future guests, we are surprised to learn that despite ALL our efforts we were not able to please this particular guest. I would like to clarify a few things...although we are new to Vrbo, we are super-hosts on a similar home rental site...so the satisfaction of ALL our guests is a TOP priority. Firstly he wanted to check in a few days earlier which we were unable to accommodate since the house was already booked. We lived in this home for 4 years with 2 children & had no issues with the location. Our neighbors also have children. Anthem is a great place with several nice parks. We provide the cross streets upon booking so the location is known. I do let guests know that they may find some scorpions in the yard, which is typical in the desert. We do treat regularly, but the desert is their natural habitat & we’ve never had issues.. The house & yard are EXACTLY as pictured (photos taken recently), there is no grass or mud at all. The house was built in 2007 & very well maintained. As animal lovers, we originally accepted a pet. Since the 1st guest did have a dog, I offered several times to have the carpets cleaned during their stay but they declined. We have now changed our policy to no longer accept pets. Unfortunately this guests did leave several items damaged & left the house very dirty. We covered the costs of all repairs & extra cleaning fees. The carpets & upholstery have all been professionally cleaned since. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions as we are here to help. Wishing you safe travels & we look forward to hosting you.
