We had a three day stay in Phelps. Really nice lakefront home on a gorgeous lake. The house is quite close to several other homes and piers, but none were occupied during our stay. Beautiful lakefront, nice pier, great fire pit. Beds are comfortable. Plenty of quality towels and linens. If you're coming with plans to cook, be sure to bring your own kitchen basics like S/P and cooking oil as there were no staples in the house. The house has a standby generator which was a real plus as the area experienced a 5 hour outage while we were there - and it did not impact us at all.We drove 30 minutes where there were some excellent supper club options. And we did drive 45 minutes to Bond Falls in Michigan which was truly stunning.

Nice Cabin on the Lake

We enjoyed our stay here and would return. Were granted early check in but had already planned our trip around the 4pm check-in time so we weren't able to take advantage of that. Very sandy and shallow but I was able to get my Ranger 619 to the dock and secure it without getting in the water. Enough room to maneuver in the driveway with the boat trailer on. Great swimming area for kids, nice firepit, everything you'd need in the house including heat which unfortunately we ended up using even though it was the first weekend in Sept. What luck lol. The day we got here it was 40deg, the day we left 78deg. So pack accordingly. Close to a nice boat launch in Phelps, and The Great Escape bar and grille. Not far from Eagle River. Lots of board games. The water from the sink tasted just fine. First day here, the internet didn't work but the team resolved that within about 24 hrs. Due to that, we missed the first Packer game of the year (on Peacock only) and our kids didn't have internet to help occupy them during the massive cold front the first day or following morning. Once fixed the speed was plenty fast (around 20Mbps) to steam Netflix etc. As other reviews mentioned the bunk beds are squeaky, and although they are a nice size I wouldn't have an adult sleep in them. Smells a tad like dog urine or a musty cabin if that bothers you. Didn't affect us any as we have dogs but left them home. Overall no real complaints, just trying to be informative.

Needs a few updates

We were disappointed that we couldn’t use the inside fireplace, the listing stated fire pit & fireplace, but there was a sign stated we couldn’t use. Also, we were uncomfortable about the outside cameras in use with our grandkids. There was a recirculating fan (through the furnace system) when that went on automatically, there was a rancid, disgusting fish smell coming through all the vents & we couldn’t stand to be in the house! While we appreciated the hand soap offered, the soap in the master bathroom was 9/10 water & barely any soap. I had to buy hand soap. Same with the provided dish soap, I took a picture of it, it had some substance stuck on the inside bottom. We were left with 4 rolls of toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels & 3 garbage bags for an entire week. We had to buy more of this as well. Also the water in the kitchen sink was backwards. The side listed hot water was cold & vice versa. We switched the stickers around so it would be okay for the next person - [ ]

Weekend trip

Weekend trip to Bond Falls. Great location house was great. Inky problem was I couldn’t get shower to work in the master bedroom. Other than that and a rainy weekend it was perfect. Would definitely rent again

Wonderful stay

this is a great place for young children. The beach is sandy and the water is shallow. water depth is about 2.5 ft at the dock. The sandy beach is not as wide as in the pictures but still great for the young ones to play and make sand castles. The house has plenty of room and is stocked well enough. we stayed 3 days and prepared every meal and did not lack in finding what we needed for cooking. We were a family of 4 adults 2 children 3 and 1 and a dog. They have 4 kayaks. We used a couple of them. I seen plenty of paddles there for all to go out. It was a great stay. Loved the view the only complaint that we had was the double bunk bed is seriously noisy. very hard to sleep when every move you make wakes you up. other than that all slept well and we loved our stay

Really great location and a roomy house!

This property worked well for my family! The house is quite roomy and was very clean. We appreciated that it had a booster seat and a high chair so we didn't have to pack those things. Lots of board games, too! Really good location right on the lake with a long pier and small sand beach. My wife and I had a fire with the firewood provided once the kids went to bed. Short drive back into Eagle River for some activities if you need a change of pace. This place is a find!

Nice property and view keep to under 8 people

Sandy beach and level area, however beds are extremely hard and house has no air conditioning. Very few amenities so had to run out to buy basic items. Don't recommend for large group as house is more suitable for under 8 people
