The house itself was gorgeous. However, when we were deciding on a house to rent for our family reunion, the movie and game room were the deciding factor. We tried to use it the night we got there and the remote was broken. I messaged VRBO about it and wstold me that they would request someone local and get back to me. Come Sunday night and I haven’t heard a response. So I reply back asking for an update. They tell me they have no update. Someone called the number and they were told that a replacement remote was on the way and would be there Monday. As of when we left today, we still had not received the remote. Without thus remote, you can’t use the theatre fully. We were very disappointed. When we went to the game room, there was more disappointment. Half the machines were not working, there were no pucks for the air hockey table and there were no balls for the foosball table. When we reported it, the company in charge were amazing and came right out to fix everything. There were some safety issues as well with long cords everywhere (inside and outside). We had babies with us so this was very concerning and frustrating with so many dangerous cords. Finally, our last disappointment was with the hot tub. Many of our party enjoyed it for a few days but then started to get rashes. Upon some investigation, we discovered that the water had turned green. We called again to let them know and the company in charge came right away to fix it.

Amazing

We were ten adults and seven children under the age of 12, including an infant. The place is huge, with a lot of space for getting together or spreading out. It has a ton of seating options for eating and board games. The game room was a hit with everyone and is separated enough that the kids could get loud without disturbing anyone on the other side of the house, including the baby. The outdoor options: private playground, large hot tub, firepit, and pier were excellent. The house also sits on a hiking trail that we took advantage of in the peak fall colors. There is not much going on in the town of Phelps, but Eagle River is nearby with great restaurant options. We struggled a bit with the patio doors but figured it out (pull UP on handles like the signs say). We celebrated an early Thanksgiving, and the kitchen including double oven, was perfect for preparing a big family meal. This is also important, as others have mentioned: the listing says 5 bedrooms, but the house has only 4 private bedrooms that have doors. The fifth bedroom is a common living-room type space with a bunkbed and two couches in it, and there's a pullout bed in the theater. I did not read the reviews well enough and this would have been a dealbreaker for us if we had understood correctly, as we wanted all adults to be able to have a private bedroom. We had to get a second rental because of this, which was okay. Still had a great time and look forward to coming back. Great memories. Thank you!

Excellent family vacation home

We had a wonderful stay in Phelps with our large group. Everyone loved the lake access, yard, hot tub, game room, and theatre. The Vacasa local staff were super responsive and helpful when we had a minor issue with a burnt-out light. We would love to come again!

Good Family Home

Our family enjoyed our stay at this home. We had 4 families, 16 people, ranging in age from toddlers to grandparents. Clean home, well stocked kitchen, plenty of space for people to have privacy but gather as a group. Having bedroom/bath/patio on same level was bonus for grandparents. We did experience swimmers itch after a short time in the lake which was a bummer for all as no one wanted to get back in the water. The game room, movie theatre, and kayaks provided alternative options and the adults enjoyed sun bathing on the expansive patio. The temperature upstairs wasn't well regulated but leaving bedroom doors open during the day seemed to help. The hottub was a bonus for sure since the lake wasn't a good option. Would definitely stay here again!

Great family get away!

Everything about the property was as expected! In spite of a rainy several days, everyone found things to do! The kitchen was so well- stocked with every amenity that we could have wanted, making cooking for 20 a breeze. We would most definitely stay again .

This house was amazing! We got snowed in and were very comfortable with 15 of us and a dog in the space for 5 days. The hot tub was great and there was plenty of space and amenities to keep us busy. The negatives of this place come down to things we tend to expect these days with rentals like this. Very limited cooking basics (spices, oil, coffee, dish detergent, etc). Limited toilet paper in the house (3 rolls per bathroom) and almost no hand soap. Not many directions on how to use the amenities. A couple games not working. There were some things that were not clean. Dirty linens found in a drawer, dirty dishes that weren't fully clean. The property manager Tanya was very helpful and easy to reach! Overall a great stay.

What a wonderful place!

From thw moment we opened the doors to this place, we were in heaven! Beautiful view of the lake...took in many sunsets and enjoyed the fall colors. The house is VERY well stocked with everything you need to accommodate a very large group. Kitchen had everything we needed, bathrooms all had plenty of towels and sample size shampoo/conditioner/body soap. Plenty of laundry and dishwasher detergents. My teenage boys ensured they made the leader board on each of the arcade games! We played SO many rounds of darts. This room truly was the best room in the house:) We can not wait to rent this place again - perhaps once in the summer and another in the winter.

Beautiful, Well-Equipped - NOT 5 Bedrooms

This property was very nice. Clean, well-decorated and well. Everything we needed for a multi-family stay of adults and kids was there. BUT, the listing claims there are 5 bedrooms and a loft. In reality there are 4 bedrooms and 2 lofts. One loft has doors that close but you need to walk through it access the other bedrooms so there is no privacy and it is not really a bedroom. With 5 families that meant one family needed to use the Murphy bed in the theater room. In addition, some things did not work when we arrived. Vacasa local property manager was great to deal with on both issues.

Beautiful home

It was lovely! Decorated for Christmas, a surprise to us! Many modern conveniences, plenty of towels, washcloths, pillows, blankets, etc. Something for every age to do. 17 of us and we never felt crowded. Had to contact Steve, the manager, to get help adjusting the heat. He was very pleasant, helpful and responded promptly. Thanks to all, I could go on and on about how wonderful this home was!

Spectacular property!!! Poor Customer care

Absolutely beautiful property from the grounds to the interior decor! Loved the theater and game room! There was nothing not to love except the customer care team who would send text messages. They served no purpose but to frustrate me with the one problem we had which was access to bikes that I had confirmed before coming. Each one ( who would not bother to read prior text thread) kept saying for 2 days someone would call me or the local staff was coming… . It wasn’t until I was finally connected with the local manager did we get the access. Steve was great! Based on my past Vrbo’s who had local manager’s contact info at the property, I would not stay at any again without making sure I had manager’s personal contact information.

Great house, Vacasa is incompetent

The house is well beatufilly remodelled and made for a pleasant stay. We had 15 people this week, and could see that it would comfortably sleep 20-30. The house is also well-equipped. There is a large gas grill, a large gas griddle, a double-oven, copious utinsels, two toasters, electric griddle, worm fridge, extra large fridge and freezer, plenty of firewood, lots of outdoor seating, and so on. The range and dishwasher, however, were inadequate for 15 people, let alone 30. There were a few things the management or owner needs to address: - The garbage disposal was innoperative. - The bannister is loose. - One of the chairs in the theatre was broken. - The spring on the dishwasher door was not installed so the door falls open and crushes your feet if you don't hold it. - It is unclear whether the kayaks, jet skis, and pontoon boat are included in the rental. The management company was unhelpful at best. To wit: - The photos and description of the property are sparse and out of date. - Before arriving, we contacted the management and received no reply for 2 weeks. When we finally did hear from them, the details they gave us about the property were incorrect (as we found out upon arrival). - The tiki-torches around the fire pit were empty and the refill bottle was also empty, so we contacted the manager to see if there was another bottle. They said they'd be out that day to refill them, but we never heard from them for the rest of the week. - There wasn't nearly enough toilet paper for week.

Wonderful

This property is wonderful. The house is amazing. It is a beautiful home with plenty of space for everyone. We had 10 in our party. Everyone loved the game room, theatre room, main family room and kitchen. The property is private and you cannot see the neighbors. The fire pit, outside furniture, gas grill and boat dock were all excellent. A nice gentle slope to the lake and dock. A short one mile drive to the boat landing and gas station. The boat landing is actually one of the nicer ones for northern WI. Much better than Sugar camp area. The home does sit on the East shore, so you do get a lot of west wind and waves by the dock. Our only minor complaint was we could not control the A/C. The home was very cold. We wished we could have turned it up a degree or two. Other than that, a fantastic home and location.

Awesome place in northern wisconsin

Wonderful property on north twin lake. Lots of room. Stocked kitchen and excellent outdoor seating. Bald eagles and deer in the back yard. Super fun game room and home theater. Brought our food and clothes and a boat and had a blast!!! Caught many fish, took in a few hikes, and relaxed!!!
