  • Location truly sets this property apart. Enjoy beautiful bay and sunset views with easy access to Lake Michigan and Little Traverse Bay. Directly across from Bayfront Park, you’re just steps from the sandy beach, marina, breakwater jetty, playground, and the 26-mile walking, jogging, and biking trail—perfect for exploring or searching for Petoskey stones.

    The home is also located next to Bear River, ideal for walking or fishing, and just a 5-minute stroll to downtown Petoskey’s charming shops and restaurants. Harbor Springs and Charlevoix are a short drive or bike ride away, with Odawa Casino just 2 miles up the road and year-round outdoor recreation nearby.

    Our upstairs retreat is thoughtfully designed for comfort and style, featuring an open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area with a wall of windows showcasing stunning bay and marina views. The living area includes a queen sofa bed, smart TV with Spectrum cable, and high-speed WiFi. The bedroom, with a queen bed, is privately set apart with sliding doors.

    Step outside onto the full-length, lake-facing deck to dine or unwind, complete with a table, umbrella, and lounge seating—perfect for morning coffee, relaxing afternoons, or quiet evenings taking in the view.

    Shared spaces with the downstairs unit are minimal and include only the exterior side entry landing with steps to the upstairs, as well as the BBQ and back lawn area. Each unit has its own side of the driveway for convenient parking, with additional free public parking nearby.

    The downstairs unit is also available as a separate rental, featuring 2 bedrooms plus a den and 2 bathrooms (VRBO Listing #346253). Both units may be rented together, subject to availability.

    Please note: The downstairs unit is a separate vacation rental and may be occupied by up to 6 guests during your stay.

We loved Petosky and the location of this property was perfect. It is an easy walk into town and to the walking/biking trails. Plus an easy drive to other great locations to visit. Enjoyed the lake view. The property itself was very cute and with the windows and skylights it felt very open. We’d stay here again

We had a wonderful time at Buffalo Sunrise and the host was fantastic, definitely set us up for success the entire process! Great stay!

This was our 2nd year renting this property. Such a perfect location and a great place to relax between all the places we like to visit in town. Highly recommend JoJo’s Cookies just off of 31 while in town and it’s just down the road from a beautiful park and playground overlooking Lake Michigan that our kiddo loved to play at during our stay.

Great location. Easy walking distance to downtown shopping and restaurants through the waterfront park. Pedestrian tunnel from the park to downtown has a beautiful mural. No major roads to cross. Large green space ( part of the waterfront park) is across from the house and close to the Petoskey break wall.The Petoskey Wheelway is right out the back of the property. The sidewalk visible in the picture is the WheelWay.

Family funeral

A family member who lives in Petoskey passed away so we needed a quick place to stay on last minute’s notice. My husband found this place as last resort since everywhere was booked! It’s a very cute place and just what we needed. Being near Lake Michigan is always beautiful. ***** beach towels would have been nice 😉

Third Stay

We love the location and view for this property. Lovely walking trail along Bear River almost right across the street. Perfect for two - downstairs unit great for more. Owners very easy to communicate with and very responsive. We have already booked our 4th stay for '23 which says it all.

One of our favorite places

This is our regular spot for a fall retreat. It is a delightful location and the property is top tier. The owners are easy to deal with and very helpful. We were a bit late this year, but discovered places around Petoskey and Harbor Springs that still sported some glorious color. My wife and I look forward to being a bit earlier next year.

Perfect stay!

The view is absolutely worth the trip to Petoskey! Sitting on the porch and taking in that view was my favorite part of the trip. Our kiddo loved how close the water was so that he could go rock hunting as often as he wanted. The town is super close and we loved being able to walk there and grab another cup of gelato anytime we wanted. :) The paved trails that you can access right in front of the house are amazing for walking and biking. The views from those trails are exceptional. The second floor of the house was perfect for us. The bed was comfy and the pull out sofa was nice as well. All the utensils, pans, plates, etc. that we needed for cooking dinner were there. The place was very clean and it was quiet, so I can't really find anything about it that I would change. It was the perfect trip and we were sad to leave. We are already looking at dates for next year to visit again. It was the exact trip we needed to decompress and relax before the kids head back to school. Would highly recommend!

This is a great place for a couple to spend the weekend. Very close to downtown. Sitting on the balcony enjoying the view and all the people on the pier and park.
