Sorry, we had heavy rain, and of your 6 night stay 1 night you were woken up early for emergency roof repairs. you left saying you would have rebooked had you not been woken, so were we really that bad? You booked a budget room, the cheapest in the city with shared showers, but none of the shared showers have handles falling off? Had you been that unhappy during you 6 night booking, you could have come to us and cancelled at no charge, but you choose to stay, perhaps because all other accommodation was far more costly? We don't force anyone to stay with us, anyone has an option to cancel should they have a genuine problem with the accommodation provided

We're a popular budget contractor hotel in an expensive city and assume you booked us we were the cheapest Hotel available. We were full on the weekend of your booking, and 2 guests had a 2 minute altercation which is with authorities. You yourself on complaining understood it was outside of our control. You booked room only but we offered complimentary cereals and toast which you and other guests had at no extra charge so unsure why you would complain. Sorry you were not put in one of the refurbished rooms but we are actively renovating. We'd suggest in future you book one of the more expensive chain hotels where your expectations would be better met - sorry we did not meet them.

We're sorry you were disappointed with your stay. The mattresses are premium pocket sprung and custom made direct from a one of the large manufacturers - we often have very good feedback on the beds, unfortunately it is the case that everyone has their own preference and Hotel have to have a one size fits all. We're disappointed that you thought the Hotel is dirty - we clean daily and regularly carpet clean and do our best to maintain a good standard for the budget hotel we are. We will endeavor to improve

Sorry you were unhappy, you didn't stay even though you were offered an upgrade from the budget twin you booked, for a nominal charge.It was a busy Saturday when you stayed in the City - the room you booked would have been by far the cheapest available.

Thanks from your review. It would appear something went very wrong with housekeeping and your room wasn't ready, surely you should have come and reported to reception so we could move you?
