"We stayed in this villa for 14 nights. For the first 3 days we had huge issues with the electrical system, which is very old. This caused frequent an lengthy outages, which means no air conditioning or electrical fans…The villa is nice but it has not been renovated, and it is basically falling into pieces, which is a shame given the nice location."

"The convent is a lovely, large 16th century building which we shared as a family of 11 for 2 weeks and found it heavenly. The house is very interesting, fun and the bathrooms are a bit rustic (which adds to it's charm) but the garden is perfection. So beautiful, peaceful, fragrant and the yoga platform inspired me to do yoga every morning looking across the valley at Mount Amiata in the distance. The family used the pool every day. Sandy, the live in housekeeper, is charming and was a big help...
