The home is in a very tranquil area and it has everything you need for a peaceful getaway. My husband and I enjoyed the firepit, morning coffee on the pier while watching the dolphins, fishing in the evening...I could go on. ;) I even took our pomeranian out on the kayak. I highly recommend you booking this home to just getaway or have a family trip...lots of room.
Early morning fog made the water and the pelicans look mystical.
We spent a lot of time on the pier fishing, enjoying morning coffee and afternoon drinks.
Callie loved chilling outside at the water in the boatslip house.
I took my pomeranian kayaking for the first time.

I Wish This Was My House

The home was exactly what we needed for time with family and one dog. Our grandson said "I wish this was my house", he loved fishing off the dock with his Pop.

Just perfect

Scenic waterfront, quiet, and beautiful sunsets. Really enjoyed fishing in the kayaks and from the dock. Plenty of room in the house Comfortable and clean. Great location. Owners very responsive to questions. We will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was reachable and answered all of my questions. The house and property was amazing. Our kids enjoyed using the kayaks and the games inside the house. My husband and sons fished on the pier everyday and caught crokers and catfish. Did I mention that the property was amazing? Very quaint and peaceful. Thank you for everything. If I could give you 10 stars, I would.

Perfect House for bringing boat!

The house was absolutely beautiful, clean & updated! There was actually an extra space that had additional bunk beds. It is far by car to get to restaurants (45-60 minutes with traffic), but the kitchen is perfect for cooking. It is perfect for boating. It takes about 15 minutes to perdido bridge & about 40 minutes or less to beach from boat dock. Also great property for dog with fenced yard & tile floors. We loved this property!

Great location with a great view.

The site was great. They took the time to make the place both look good, be comfortable, and still feel like it wasn't going to break if I actually sat on something. Was great overall for my dog and would be a great place to bring kids as well. I liked the fact it was a few miles away from everything. Well we were there, we got to see a dolphin swimming up the channel.

Need to relax?

It was a quiet, relaxing week. Just what was needed. The pelicans were entertaining. We got our exercise by taking a walk on the public land. The path was easy to walk. We also learned about the trees in the area. For shopping it was an easy drive to the stores and restaurants. The best part for us, was that it wasn't far to my daughter's house.

Happiness in Hurst Hammock!

Our family had the best stay in Hurst Hammock. Just isolated enough that we could enjoy the privacy of a quaint, waterside neighborhood but close enough to any stores we needed during our stay. We also were conveniently located within close proximity to naval base we were in town visiting and to Pensacola Beach. We were even a decent boat ride away from the famous Flora-Bama...that was a fun excursion! The house is beautifully updated, spacious and stocked with everything we needed. The back yard and dock, though dated, provided a beautiful view and perfect place to fish and dock our boat. The hosts were incredibly responsive and accommodating. We're so happy we found this hidden gem and hope our travels bring us back one day in the future!

Wonderful stay at a super property

My family and I were in town for a wedding and very much enjoyed our stay. The house is in great condition and very clean. Loved the back yard with dock to fish off and slip shack to relax in the shade. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors were friendly and welcoming. When we discovered the living room TV not working, Jennifer and Vic immediately responded and dispatched Brannon to replace it the same day - incredible service from very nice people. Thanks very much for making our stay a pleasant one and we’d definitely recommend this property to anyone interested!

Disappointed

I've waited 2 months to leave the review because I wanted to give the owners a fair and reasonable amount of time to resolve our problem. First, I'd like to say the property was very nice and the communication up until we had a problem was great! The water view, the home updates and the location were all top notch. We encountered a problem within 5 hours of our arrival that prevented us from staying for our whole trip due to a sanitary situation. It was valid and documented. No one with any type of hygiene or sanitary concern would have stayed. The "resolution" was not fair or reasonable. I would say the home is a great vacation spot but just know if an issue arises the owner will likely ghost you and the company will not resolve issues fairly.

We so enjoyed our stay in this home. The view from the back is beautiful. And the home had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. One note, if you want to use the grill, you will need to provide your own propane. We purchased a propane tank at Walmart and then took it to our son's home where he will continue to use it. We had not intended to use the grill the first night, so it did not become a problem. The updates in the home are lovely. We got confused about how to access the power in the "Slip Shack." I contacted the owner who responded immediately and fixed us up. We accidentally took a few of their coozies in our ice chest. I let her know I would ship them back, and she was very kind and understanding. It is centrally located to everything, but off the beaten path. So there is an opportunity for activities, but also a lot of privacy. Our family had a wonderful time. Cannot recommend this rental enough!

Good River Location

First, the good. The location is great for those bringing a boat and wanting to fish. Having kayaks and life jackets were definitely a bonus. Gas grill (after major cleaning) was great. Owner was easy to communicate with and supplied lots of info. Home has lots of room. But, the cleanliness was lacking. Food, vapes, trash, etc… all found beside, under, on furniture. Dirty dishes in cabinets. Wet towels in dryer. Dust galore. Kitchen is disheveled and lacking adequate pots for cooking a decent meal. Only 3 washcloths. I let the owner know and was told they don’t supply those but would consider adding them. We killed many bugs (spiders and roaches) inside the home. Pet hair on all rugs and furniture. Overall, if these things are taken care of we would return.

The view from this house is one of the best I've seen. In the evening, if you look to the right you see the sunset over the Perdido River; in the morning, if you look to the right you'll see the sunrise over the water. There are always pelicans and other sea birds frequenting the area by the dock. My wife and I needed some assistance with our arrangements and Jennifer (our point of contact) was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was a perfect as possible. We would absolutely stay here again.

Clean, well appointed, very spacious house. Quiet neighborhood. The yard is completely fenced, which was nice for our dog. My husband enjoyed fishing from the pier in the mornings. Views were lovely, especially at sunset.

Perfect Bay House

We had a great time, the house was absolutely perfect and gated. The bed were so so comfy! The sectional was stunning! The house was clean, typical neighborhood. The dock was so close by and the gazebo was perfect.It was a great 3 day stay! We also were able to check in earlier than expected. The owners were so easy to work it. We highly recommend this house. Perfect for guests who don’t plan to leave and venture out.

The house was beautiful! It’s tucked away from a lot of commotion so you can enjoy nights out on the dock. Jennifer was amazing, had quick responses, and her customer service was on point! The beds were comfy! The house was clean! Love, love , love!!!

Everything was great, the view was amazing the house was amazing just some small things that was noticed like the bathroom mats were dirty, also there is a sticky note on the light switch with the word dummy written on it which made me weary of the cleaners, didn’t touch it left it there. Also didn’t get the check in instructions till 6:00 when check in was at 4:00 that’s 2 hours we were left waiting which is an issue because we are charged for those hours and nowhere to go! Other than that nice house
