We really loved staying at this VRBO property! When we arrived, there was a nice welcome gift. They included additional amenities that others properties didn't (lazy river, beach service, etc.), they provided plenty of toileteries and towels that lasted our whole trip, and they included some toileteries that other VRBOs don't. The property and grounds were beautiful and well taken care of. This property had a beautiful view of the beach and pool. On top of everything else, it was more affordable then other comparable VRBO that I research/viewed when I was looking to book our trip!We loved it and would happily return again in the future!Thank you!

Wonderful and clean condo in a beautiful location. The 3rd floor was perfect for enjoying the gulf and bayside facilities. I have stayed at this location for the last few summers and have stayed in different condos each time. This one was by far my favorite to date. The only less than stellar comment I have for the host is that the stove and oven combo may need to be serviced soon. The oven took a very long time to heat up and not all stove top burners seemed operable.

Great condo!

This was a great condo and great location! Its beachside, but also easy access to the lazy river as its on the 3rd floor and the bridge to the lazy river is on the 3rd floor. Very well maintained, and very good communication from the host. Would definitely recommend!

Just what we were looking for!

We loved this place so much- it was just as it was described and better. Amanda was our go-to person and was available for anything we needed. She was absolutely fabulous - so friendly and accommodating! She and her “boo” were a joy to meet! My 11 year-old daughter and I stayed for a week. All of the pools were great, the beach was beautiful, the condo itself was perfect. I wanted to stay someplace where I didn’t need to rent a car, and this was it. We could walk just down the beach to the Boardwalk for some great food and treats, the pier, the Gulfarium- it was all we were looking for. The unit was just right for the two of us. We had a lovely view of the pool and the beach- it was heavenly. My daughter and I would love to stay again and we hope Amanda will still be there for us when we do!! 💗🌊🏝️

Wonderful spring break

This is our 6th or 7th time at Destin West. We normally stay bayside, but this time chose gulf side. We are so happy with our choice. This property was beautiful. The view of the gulf from the balcony was stunning. The condo was super clean and felt cozy. Our 2 year old loved to run up and down the hallway. The hosts were super easy to communicate with. We had a question during our stay, Frank & Amanda were both quick to respond. Overall wonderful & worry free trip! We cannot wait for our next trip!

Family friendly vacation rental

We enjoyed our time in Gulfside West during spring break. We had a king bed and bunk “room” for 2 adults and a 13yo. It was on the small side but worked well for us. The weather was sunny and mid 60s which was a little too chilly for the pools. Only major complaint was the check-in. We notified the on call person that we were a little (90 min) early and asked if we could check in, didn’t get a response until we had already tried the passcode and were able to get in. She finally replied and said it had not been inspected yet. We hauled our stuff back out of the condo and sat at the pool patio until 4. I don’t think it ever got inspected because there was a full load of towels still in the dryer. Pros: beach side service with 2 chairs and umbrella!, decent restaurants in short walking distance, comfortable beds, having the option to go across the skywalk to the lazy river and another heated pool, view of the gulf and easy walk to the beach, kitchen Cons: floor could use a good scrubbing, no kleenex.

Overall great experience

The only issue we had is that the property wasn’t ready when we arrived. The manager was having to clean due to a scheduling issue, which was okay because she was accommodating. We rewashed bed quilts and linens due to a couple of stains that led us to believe that because of the late cleaning things hadn’t been properly washed. Other than that hiccup, everything else was great. The property is nice overall and close to everything.

Florida Summer Vacay 2023

This condo was super nice! Fantastic view and very clean! We sat on the balcony every morning drinking coffee and every evening to enjoy the view. We really enjoyed the resort and used both sides on the gulf and the bay. The beach is beautiful and the lazy river was a nice change of pace when we needed to change things up. The pool on our side was very nice as well. The resort keeps everything super clean. Ran into several days of thunderstorms, but we were able to wait it out each day and have a great time! The beach service that is included with this condo is a game changer! The guys working the beach service station were amazing! We are very sad to leave but thankful we had a great vacation!

Great Place to stay at

Easy parking, clean unit, comfy bed! Nice view of the ocean and pool. The beach is so close. The complimentary chairs and umbrella came in handy on a hot day - it was easy to run up to the condo to grab a couple of snack and come back. Would definitely recommend and come back. The only reason i gave it 4 stars (and not 5) - the master bedroom i next to the hallway, so in the morning, you’ll hear the early riser or late night you’ll hear people coming back. But aside from that, it’s a great condo!

Grandmother/Mother/Daughter trip

My mother (72) took the master BR, I (50) slept on the bottom bunk and my daughter (20) slept on the couch. We all slept fairly comfortably. The condo was clean and met our needs. My only CONS would be the skillet is flaking and needs replaced, there were no butter knives (only serrated steak knives), and the water pressure in the showers was very low making it impossible to rinse all of the shampoo or conditioner out of thick hair. Even with these cons, we would consider staying here again.

Great location

Great property, great location! We really enjoyed the convenient location, the amenities are great, and we love that the beach towels and umbrella/2 chairs are included!! However, one of the pools was closed for maintenance. The largest pool is really nice and has plenty of chairs. Too bad the water was freezing cold! The hot tub is large but we were only able to use it once. Some large groups would come and camp out it, drinking etc. The lazy river is located across the highway at another section of the property, and a nice open skywalk connects the two, although I do not think my 75 year old mother could have made the walk. (Lazy river is freezing cold also.) Overall we were happy with the condo itself, and we would likely stay in this condo again. Both the owner and property manager are very responsive!

Great vacay spot

Nice condo, everything was as listed. No complaints. We loved the beach, pools, and that beach service was included. Beach gets busy, we went down early to wait in line each morning to claim a front row spot. Weather and water were perfect.

Great property!!!

Found this property last minute on the water and it was a great location and super clean condo. Beautiful view of pool and ocean in distance. Everything was so easy to get to from the pools to the beach and even to the Bay side to visit the lazy river. Great for a family of 4 perfect size condo. I loved how easy it was to pull up and luggage carts galore to use to get all the things and luggage from car to condo. Very quiet resort unless it was just this week we went but so nice and relaxing. Property and pools pretty well maintained I felt. I constantly saw staff overseeing parts of property, checking to make sure adults had their wristbands on, alerting families at night when the pools and hot tubs were closing etc. Beach was beautiful the included beach chairs and umbrella is a fabulous perk BUT we found out to get a front row spot my husband had to stand in line each morning to get a good spot as everything is first come first serve. Bring a cup of coffee and enjoy the view while you wait!! I did feel umbrellas were super tight I at times felt right on top of people but it is what it is. For restaurants we found all the good ones in Destin which wasn't far but we did drive around a lot to scout dinner places. Overall had a great time the weather and water were perfect along with the condo ( shower heads could use some updating) BUT I hope to definitely come back soon! Awesome vacation!

Very nice condo.

Very nice stay. We did arrive early and called to see if we could check in early. She said they were about done with it. Got there unloaded and they were not done cleaning. Misunderstanding led to us standing under carport with our bags for 2 hours while it rained, waiting on our condo. This condo supplied us with toilet paper, trash bags, beach towels and chairs and umbrella each day on the beach. The only complaint, other than standing waiting on it to be ready, was the pool outside our condo was closed for two days and we had to walk to the other side if we wanted a pool.

Great property loved it!

Very clean and a variety of options on bay side and beach side. The walk to the beach was pleasant with no steps to get to the beach and back up to the property. Would stay here again.

Great Property

Condo was great, very clean and plenty of room for teens and us parents. Pool was great and also lazy river where the teens stayed most of the week. Short walk to beach which was great as well. Boardwalk is right down the beach, short walk as well. Overall great stay and we can’t wait to go back, highly recommend.

Nice property with great location and views. Only problem we had was that property was not ready at check in time. Check in time was at 4 and we got a call from cleaning people right before that telling us that it wasn't ready. She called us back around 5 to let us know it was ready, so we didn't get checked in until after 5.

First Family Beach Vacation!

We loved this trip and this home made all the difference! My wife and I have a 4 & 6 year old who can’t swim yet and we felt safe and secure at this property. It was incredibly family oriented, but adult enough to feel like we were still living! So many shared pools, lazy river, waterfalls and beaches within a stones throw … it’s like we had a different adventure 2-3xs a day. Ate at the boardwalk a lot, somewhere new every night and they had a Disney movie on the beach on Tuesday, Fireworks off the dock on Wednesday and a free Luau on Thursday. Live music and fun nightly within 5 min every night. I definitely recommend for the options and comfort. Inside the home was a great beach/pool view and a beach vibe that was exactly like we hoped for! Likely to return and thankful for a great trip!
