Missouri Family 11

Our extended family of 11 enjoyed the beautiful Sol LaRu beach front home. The host was wonderful and maintained contact from beginning to end. She contacted me within an hour after our family left the home with a picture of jewelry that our granddaughter left. Upon arrival the home was clean and had all of the amenities needed to enjoy the beach and the home. Everything was just as described through VRBO. The host made immediate contact after the booking and responded to every question and call throughout the process. This home was very well kept and the ocean was the backyard. The home is located in a very quiet cul-du-sac. Each bedroom had a bathroom and the great room had plenty of room for our family to enjoy meals and time together. We enjoyed every minute of our vacation in Pensecola Beach and this peaceful beach front home and plan to return.

3 generational beach vacation

The Sol LaRue beachfront home provided our 3 generational family with magnificent views and immediate access to the gulf in a spacious well-appointed home. The many amenities provided included a large well stocked modern kitchen (notable for 2 dishwashers!) and generous access to a sizable collection of beach gear that made our beach vacation both relaxing and memorable. The host, Ruth, was very attentive providing an excellent introduction to the property as well as an immediate response and resolution of a maintenance issue that arose during our visit.

60th Anniversary

Beautifully decorated, well stocked with kitchen utensils and cooking pots and pans. Plenty of plates and silverware. Ample supply of beach chairs, etc. Toys and games for all ages. Quantity supply of linens and towels. Had great laundry facilities. The elevator was a God sent for my wife and I.

Great house, great host

Dealing directly with Ruth was a pleasure and a big advantage. She was very responsive and went above and beyond what was expected to be sure we were satisfied. The house is in a section of Pensacola Beach that is not crowded. We had the entire beach in front of the house to ourselves all week. The house is well kept and very functional. The ground floor / outside area was also very functional. No complaints! Thanks Ruth.

So Beautiful and Perfect Location!

This house is beautiful and the location was absolutely perfect for us! The house is located further down Pensacola Beach from the main action and high rise condos and hotels. The house is located right on the beach and it felt like we had a private beach to ourselves. The bedrooms were spacious and spotless. The view from the main living area was incredible! The kitchen and pantry were well stocked with everything our family of six adults and two children would need for a week's stay. Our host, Ms. Ruth, was very attentive and responsive. We had a couple of minor house issues that were handled quickly and with little to no interruption to our activities. I would highly recommend this house for families who would like an awesome beach view, beach access, and lots of space to breathe.

Great location on the Beach

My family and I stayed at Sol LaRu in June 2023. The pros - The house is on a fantastic, quiet spot on the beach. We rarely had anyone within 50' of us at any time. The elevator was great for bringing luggage/groceries in and out of the house. All four of the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the main level which was great for our elderly family members. The A/C systems worked great and kept the entire house comfortable day and night. The owners are very approachable easy to contact. The cons - The mattresses in both the master and 2nd gulf front bedroom were not comfortable and are worn out in our opinion. It felt like sleeping in a hole. We reached out to the owners who said they would look into our feedback about the mattresses. Also, while the sofa and chairs in the den look stylish, they were not very comfortable, especially for our older family members. In addition, there was not enough seating in the den for all 8 of our family members at the same time. The bedding and den furniture is why we gave it 4 versus 5 stars. Otherwise, the house is great. We would recommend the house to others.

Out beach vacation

Everything was lovely. The only thing we were not happy with was the bed in the master bedroom. Everything was so high end, but the bed in the masfer was a double! The .mattreas was not good, and thhe head of it tipped downwards. Did not make for a good night's rest.

Nice house which made for a wonderful vacation

The house was very nice with an open floor plan, which was perfect for our accommodations. The elevator was a life saver. Location and walk to beach was great. The property owner was very helpful and available anytime we had questions. Made for a great visit/vacation.

Ruth was an excellent host. The house and the furnishings were just as described. This home had a very short walk to the beach. No boardwalk to cross dunes. Saw so many dolphins most days! Very enjoyable week!

Family vacay

The house was in an excellent location a short distance from the restaurants and shops. The beach was a lot less crowded which was perfect since we had 3 small children. The house itself was very clean and up to date. It was well stocked with cooking accessories and towels and linens. Of most important the air conditioning kept the house cool and comfortable all week. There were also plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys available to take to the beach. Dealing with Ruth thru the reservation process and checking in and out was very efficient. She was a delight to work with. Everything went very smooth. The house is better than advertised.

Great House and location!

It is a great house and wonderful location! We had 4 families with 11 people, 8 adults and 3 children. The 2 oldest had the entire loft to themselves with the bunks beds and sofa. The house sits directly on the beach allowing for easy access. The 2 refrigerators and ice makers make all the difference with a large group of southerners that like to cook! The owner manages the home, and she is very involved remotely. There is no property manager on-site or local as you have at other VRBO homes, which could be a plus or minus depending on preference. The only big issue for our group seemed to be the set AC temperatures. We like a cold house at night and bumping the AC unit up so high during the day did not allow time for the house to cool enough at night. We found it to be overly warm the majority of the time. Although we love the house and location, unfortunately we will not return. There is a strict 11 person limit and my children are now of an age where they want to bring a friend on our family trips. If you have a smaller group, I would highly recommend!

A perfect beach home to create memories with family

The home is beautiful and is only a few steps to a private beach. The host is most gracious and she made sure that we’re comfortable and enjoying our stay. The kitchen is fully stocked. Beach towels, umbrellas, tents, chairs and all beach toys for the kids are available. It’s perfect!!

Great for families

Really nice place kitchen and living room are huge and open great for up to 12 people. The views are amazing the house is up to date. I can’t say enough good things about the property. The owner was very helpful as well. We will be back.
