The White House, Penola

Family which included 3 adult couples spent a long weekend in The White House, Penola. The house was perfect, right down to the inclusion of welcoming nibbles and wine. The check-in process was easy. Would definitely stay again.

Magnificently appointed, spotlessly clean, great location, welcome bottle of wine.

Can't fault the property. We were late arriving and received a message asking if we were alright! Now that's being concerned to see we had a good stay!

The Whitehouse - an elegant home

As a family of 2 parents, three tall young adults and a girlfriend we comfortably settled into the WH for 3 nights. We found everything we needed, shared 2 bathrooms and an extra toilet and were very comfortable and warm this winter in the three generous bedrooms, comfortable roomy lounge and well appointed kitchen and dining area. We were able to buy early morning coffees and pastries across the road, drive to all the local wineries and have dinner at the local (on the corner) hotel. We had prepared for a slow cooked meal on Saturday night and the kitchen was perfect.

Centre of everything

Excellent location with spacious bedrooms and modern furnishings. Great to have ensuite and large bathroom. Outside area wonderful in sunshine: ideal BBQ area

Wedding Party

This is the 2nd time we have used The White House for our family Wedding. It is the perfect place for The Bridal Party to get ready, stay and have some pre photo's. The grounds are beautiful.

Good getaway break

We stayed here with 2 friends and we had the the large bedroom with en-suite which had a great shower. Our friends had the smaller bedroom and used the other bathroom which didn’t have as good shower. The quality of everything in the house was really good but it’s not really big enough for 6 adults but it was great for 4 Loved the fresh flowers and little unexpected extras

We enjoyed 4 nights of luxury in an immaculate comfortable and inviting property. All amenities available and all equipment in top working order and maintained. Close to great restaurants and coffee shops and IGA for fresh food. Congratulations to the owners!!

The BEST House in Penola

We recently stayed at The White House for 3 nights for the July Cellar Dwellers event. We were so impressed and highly recommend The White House for a luxury stay in the heart of Penola. The house is sympathetically restored with exquisite attention to detail throughout, from beautiful new bathrooms and a kitchen to all the furniture, furnishings, fittings and accessories. The sun drenched back deck and garden was delightful even during winter. All the little touches throughout the house such as fresh flowers and a complimentary bottle of local wine, made out stay incredibly pleasant. There’s plenty of space for families or three couples, ample heating and cooling throughout. An extremely well fitted kitchen and accessories. Thank you so much, we’ll be back!

Located one block off the main drag on a quiet street and right across the street from Pipers the best restaurant in Penola the White House has everything you will need. Comfortable beds modern and well apportioned bathrooms and a fully stocked kitchen with a nice private back yard complete with a BBQ.

Loved loved loved this property. Right in the heart of town. Walking distance to the best reataurants and the house is fitted out with everything you could possibly want. Everything is of a high quality. The bed linen in particular is great. Would stay there again in a heart beat. Well worth the money.

Fantastic!

What a fantastic place to stay, right in town and literally over the road from Pipers of Penola restaurant. This place is very nicely presented, its clean and very tidy. Id throw some photos in but the ones already on the sight are spot on. Hot weekend but the house is a great oasis in this iconic wine producing area of South Australia. A really lovely place to stay and I will definitely stay here again.
