Top spot
Clean, comfortable, well equipped property within walking distance of the IGA, the pub and the beach. The standout is the view over Backstairs Passage to the mainland. Just need some hanging space in the front room and a champagne stopper 😁

Work stay
Beautiful location and very clean property….although it was a work trip it was a treat to be able to relax after work with a walk to the beach. Proximity to shops and services was a big plus for us with this trip. With future work coming up I hope to stay again.

The property has had a great new kitchen put in a new oven and cooktop. as well as the second shower and toil/et completely renovated. New curtains and blinds. We have stayed 3 times and is such an idyllic place. Thanks Ros.

Beautiful views, wonderful property
A freshly renovated house with amazing views of Penneshaw’s beach and bay. Sparklingly clean with many thoughtful features and a friendly host. The pool table was great entertainment for the kids. We loved our stay in the house - it was so impressive and a short walk from cafes, the pub and shops. Highly recommend

What a view! A homely place to stay. Had a couple of unforeseen issues but Ros was so friendly, helpful and accessible that they were quickly rectified. So close to the ferry and local shops and cafe. Also perfect for your furbaby. Just be mindful if you need to work or be contactable there is no WiFi. We hope to return soon

Great views, kangaroos, cruise ships, fishing, markets, beaches.......
Outstanding views! No need to leave the property if you do not want to. The property had everything needed for a great stay, pool table, electric blankets for those cooler nights, and more. Walking distance to shop, restaurants, walks, beach on doorstep. Great neighbors too. What a place!

Perfect location
The property had excellent views close to the ferry. Having a fully self contained home dishwasher and washing machine. Plenty of room to spread out. The area was quiet and close to shops and cafes. All in all we were very happy.

A comfortable base to explore KI
A comfortable and convenient property to explore Kangaroo Island, with good views of Penneshaw Bay (and the mainland in the distance). Very spacious for 3 adults plus a large dog. The property had a multi-level fenced area for our dog to roam. There was an IGA supermarket within easy walking distance. The property host /manager very generously express-posted some prescription eye drops that we left behind when we checked out. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location
Great uninterrupted view of the beach, adjacent harbour and across the ocean to Cape Jervis. The property is much larger than we expected and the pool table was a big bonus. The yard is secure and was ample for our dogs. It was a privilege to stay in such a nice property in a great location and not be prejudiced by having pets. A truly serene and relaxing location in a well serviced and friendly town

Excellent Location
This property is within a short walk to the local amenities and beach. There is an IGA, pub, 2 cafes, fish and chip shop, post office, petrol station including hardware store, pharmacy and restaurant. You have stunning views of the beach and ocean, on our last night we were treated to a pod of dolphins fishing in the bay and a fantastic lightning storm. The property is in need of some modernisation and a lick of paint, however there are modern amenities including washing machine, oven and TV. You do have everything you need, plenty of towels, toiletries and pantry items. The property is clean, however we did find a broken cup under one of the kids beds. The kids were entertained for hours by the pool table, all of the beds were very comfortable, there are 2 queens and 2 singles, the singles were a bit small for our 14 year old son who is touching 6 foot, be he was comfortable. The house makes a lot of noise on a windy night, so take your earplugs, there are also possums who like to run across the roof like a herd of elephants at 4am, presume for fruits from the 2 fruit trees in the back yard. Our dog was secure in the back yard after we closed the gate and there was a garden area for her to be able to do the essentials. All in all we were pleased, good value for money and would certainly return.

Talinga on the Bay is one of the original shacks on The Levels which has amazing views to the mainland. It is an honest, value for money place to stay. Nothing flash although it has a new laundry and bathroom. Walking distance to the Sealink Ferry and IGA. Convenient and easy. Would recommend.

Wonderful holiday
Talinga on the Bay is an excellent holiday house for a couple or a family. A view that cant be beaten, close to the beach and shops, clean, comfortable. Great beds and pillows. Good books on the history and flora and fauna of the area. Everything that one could hope for in a home away from home. We stayed 10 days and couldn’t fault the house. Thanks Ros. We had a superb time.

two couples...the perfect spot
pre dinner drinks outside watching the comings and goings of the Penneshaw harbour. A game of cards on the kitchen table. A well stocked supermarket within walking distance...perfect.

Great property
We had a wonderful time at the property. Location is fantastic and views amazing. The pool table was a massive hit with our 16, 20 & 21 year olds. Ros is a fantastic host, couldn’t have asked for better communication and she went over and above for us. We will definitely be back!!

Great Place
The house was super clean, Ros was very good at communicating, the bed was so comfortable, the view was just great and the kitchen was fully equiped. There was even a pool table to use. This is an older place but made no difference to the pleasant stay as all the appointments were just great. Will be staying again.
